Just got back from Thailand! This is some kind of FAIRY tale!! ! Personally, I left the hotel with tears in my eyes: (I was completely delighted with the Tropical Garden Resort! We lived in the central fifth building on the 3rd floor. We took a deluxe room and didn’t wish it at all. It was worth it !! ! The view from the balcony was just excellent! The territory of the hotel is very well-groomed. Lots of greenery. The fact that the hotel stands on a hill is, on the contrary, good! In the evenings, it was very pleasant to sit on the balcony with a bottle of Thai wine - fresh and cool! the assortment is not Turkey. Modest. But delicious. More and did not need everything! The location of the hotel is excellent! The sea is nearby. The street where all the evening parties are nearby. When we went on excursions, we stopped at some hotels for vacationers, and more and more and more convinced that we personally did not fail with the choice of the hotel. We left a daily tip in the amount of 20 baht.
Everything has been changed, cleaned and licked utterly! Various themed evenings with live music are constantly arranged in the hotel.

On excursions. Were on James Bond Island. We took a tour right on the street. I liked it very much - cool, great, the Thai English-speaking guide did not bother, everything was clear! We went to the Similan Islands. We took from our guide from the Biblio-Globe. Expensive and our guide could not be compared with the previous one: (Everything was brightened up by the extraordinary beauty of the Similan Islands! From our guide we also went to the "Simon show". I liked it. Very beautiful scenery and costumes, the show itself. Then we took pictures with transvestites. Here - Attention! A photo with them costs 50 baht, but these tenacious girls of boyish origin extort money from you very smartly. Therefore, stock up on smaller bills and give them more : ) We also went on an excursion to Khao Lak. We took this tour from a Russian-speaking Thai.
We rode elephants, rafted along the river, visited a farm where turtles are bred, watched a monkey show. Great! In terms of organization and informativeness, I liked the excursion to about. James Bond. Therefore, feel free to take excursions on the street. Don't be afraid if you don't know English. In our group there were half foreigners, half Russians. And everyone understood everything : ). Bargain. The cost of the tour can be thrown off at times!
We went on a free guided tour. Good too. Guide Marina was very informative and interesting. Were at the snake farm. We stopped at a store that sells latex products (bought a pillow for the Beloved - 3900 baht), stopped at a jewelry factory (I bought for myself a complete set of silverware with my favorite moonstone - 4000 baht). A Russian-speaking Thai (we went to Khao Lak from him), though later he said that it was expensive where we were.
They also organize trips to slightly different places where the same products are sold. And way cheaper. I believe. Because where we were - these are beaten paths for tourists in order to pump out money. Therefore, do not rush with a review from the tour operator. Better take a walk and find Thai travel agencies with Russian-speaking guides. Get everything the same, but cheaper.

We took a taxi to Patong (400 baht one way) to the Jangceylon shopping center. The center is a little disappointing. There are a lot of cool things for men with cool discounts (They dressed the beloved in full! : ) ), and the women's clothes are somehow small and the prices........I was "pleased" with the grocery hypermarket at this center. The choice is somehow scanty compared to our hypermarkets. There is really nothing for the eye to stop at. In the wine department (very modest! ) but we met a crowd of compatriots stocking up and none of the foreigners : ) We went for a walk on Bang la road.

To be honest, I wasn't impressed. Small, somehow dirty, barkers on "Go-Go" on every corner. She did not persuade Beloved to go to this show. He said that "I'd rather buy a bottle of good wine with this money and drink it on the balcony in the evening" : ) And so they did! : )

About massage. Once went and that's it. Did in the salon nepodeku from the hotel (on the right how to go to the hotel Orchidasia). I could not even imagine such a frank parody of Thai massage! Absolutely not observed all the elementary rules of hygiene. And the quality of the massage left much to be desired. Therefore, before you decide on a massage, take a closer look at how others are doing it. And it's better, of course, to go to a more expensive salon. Personally, after one time, we lost the hunt for "Thai massage" for a long time. We didn't spend any more time on it.

where they mostly ate. Lunches are in Kata Mama when you exit from the south side of Kata Beach. Once we went to a cafe nearby - the quality of food is a little lame.
Lunch or beer, or cola, or cocktails turned out in the range of 350-450 baht for two. We dined in Mai Tai not far from the hotel (with beer from 340 to 450 baht for two). Once we visited a restaurant that contains polka (go from our hotel up the hill to Orchidasia - on the right) - it cost 1100 baht (live music, everything is very elegant! ) and where the most party street in our region is in Natali (Russian menu, well prepared, bypassed 535 for two). We had lunch at the hotel restaurant once. Good, tasty and cheap! In short, if you wish, you can always find a budget and tasty option : )

About the beach. Kata is a GREAT beach! Clean. Loungers, if VERY long time not to sleep, more than enough. The sea is warm, gentle and clean! We didn’t get to Kata-noi and Karon - there was no time : )

About trading. It's cool : ) The initial price can be safely thrown off at least twice. More, to be honest, conscience did not allow : ) And so everything was bought for a penny by our standards.
Good sundresses and pareos were bought right on the beach. For pennies! 300-350 baht. Later, knowledgeable people said that it was expensive : ) Where is it cheaper? ; ) Thais also need to live! : )

What happened for the money. Taking into account the fact that we didn’t deny ourselves anything in particular (excursions, lunches, dinners, a bottle of wine for the evening within 700 baht + fruit, food from macaroons, souvenirs home, clothes, necks and beer on the beach, stocked up in a dutik in airports with cosmetics and good wine) cost 900 American greens and 500 euros.

Flight. Transaero. The declared Premium class was. They sat comfortably, their legs did not rest against the back of the neighbor's chair. Fed twice in flight. There was a choice of main dishes. Liked. Pillows and blankets were handed out. The press was present. We took off from Moscow half an hour late. From Tai - on time.

About humidity. Yes, it feels a little. But I didn’t have AT ALL acclimatization, although I used to endure high humidity with difficulty.
Yes, it was stuffy after we unloaded at the airport. But here more tired played a role. Things, if hung in the sun - dried very quickly. In the shade - slower. And it was even more convenient to dry in the room with the air conditioner on. Bathing suits that were wet from the evening dried perfectly by morning. Just a few words about the air conditioner. They set it to 27 degrees and the minimum speed. Everything was OK! It was possible to sleep with an open balcony (fresh, good! ), but since the hotel is simply buried in greenery, there were guests - local mosquitoes. Not many, but there are. Therefore, it is best to take a fumigator with you and there will be no problems! For some reason, I laid mine out of my suitcase before the trip (I didn’t find it anywhere in the reviews about mosquitoes). Regretted. You get used to the noise of the air conditioner on the second night.

About the time difference. Didn't notice : ) The night flight turned everything upside down : ) We adapted very quickly to the difference. And even very early departures for excursions did not bother.
And now a couple of tips for those who are just going to Tai.

Watch out for the sun! True, very insidious! Sunbathing is best from 8-30 to 13-00, and then until 15-00 - 15-30 to go out for lunch and relax. And it's better to stay in the shade. All the same, it lights up just as well : ) For the first two or three days, use sunscreen with a protection factor of at least 50 (bought on the spot). Then they switched to ours with a protection factor of 30. For the last three days I have already used sunblock. SAVE YOUR FACE! Apply sunscreen regularly! My nose managed to peel off a little and completely burned out my cheeks. Saved ...the usual baby cream. Smeared them on the face then regularly. And she smeared her whole body after the beach. Aloe vera is a good remedy for burns. They periodically smeared their beloved with them : )

If anyone has problem stomachs and intestines (they don’t like food changes), then buy Linex and drink a capsule after meals. Beloved got a little sick after the first meal of Thai food.
Then he constantly took Linex - there were no more problems! We talked to people on the beach, some toiled for 3-4 days. Mezim did not help. They complained that they did not think to buy Linex.

While like everything. My head is still full of chaos. I'm still there...They flew to Moscow and...SO FROZEN!!!!!!!!! ! I still can't get warm at home : ) There will be questions - ask. I'll answer as soon as possible.
