Hotel Carribien World Scanes (Monastir) 4*
Travel agency Nord, meeting party - Express tour

After passing all the exams and defending my diploma, my friend and I decided to go to rest on the sea. Tunisia and the above hotel were chosen as a place of rest. The travel agency was chosen by Nordtravel. There are no claims to Nord, because they fulfilled all their obligations at the highest level. The trip cost us little. Yes, and the hotel reviews and photos, too, very much. The only drawback was that the hotel consisted of two buildings - Cancun and Nasawi. And the first of them significantly surpassed the second in proximity to the sea and the pool, in terms of cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. But in the reviews of tourists it was written that there should be no problems with settling in the Cancun building. It will just be necessary to be persistent or, in extreme cases, give them $ 20 if they do not want to settle us in the Cancun building.
Reassured by this information and being in anticipation of the trip, we flew to Monastir with a light heart. Our carrier was Transaero and therefore we flew out of Domodedovo at 8.30 Moscow time. A start was made. We arrived at the hotel around 11:30. And they brought us exactly to the Nasawi corps. This is where our problems began.

We were given paperwork to fill out. Having filled them in, we went to the reception and they gave us the key to the room, of course, in the Nasawi building, which, by the way, consists of separate 2-storey bungalows with 6 rooms each. We immediately began to ask for a room in the Cancun building, which consists of several 2 and 3-storey buildings. Since I speak English, we could more or less communicate with them. However, we were immediately denied. The head of the reception and other employees claimed that they did not have free rooms. We still stood our ground.
They asked and begged, gave various reasons why we want to live there. At that moment, the head of the reception, whom they called the chief, just left. But we still kept asking. We have already started offering them money. My friend could no longer stand it and began to cry. However, even tears did not affect them in any way. They just said they couldn't help us. We were killed by this injustice! And pissed off the incompetence of the staff! The only thing they said was to talk to the boss. We asked to call the chef, but we could not even do this calmly! The girl from the reception shrugged her shoulders and said through her teeth that the boss had gone somewhere. After 10 minutes, she still called him and a moment later the boss showed up. Really! But there was still no sense from the boss. He repeated the same.

The only new thing we learned is that we have to wait for our guide Nubil from the Express tour, who will come only at 15:00. But we couldn't sit in the lobby for 3 hours and wait for the guide, when at that time we could already swim in the sea. We continued to stand our ground. Then the boss called this Nubil so that we could talk to him. What he said was the last straw! He said that the only way we can get out of this situation is to pay him $120 for two, that is, $5 per day per person, and only then settle in Cancun. We were shocked! We have never seen such arrogance anywhere else! Having learned this news, we began to think what to do next. Realizing that the reception would not help us, my friend went to see the room that we were given. She came back crying even more. It turned out that our room was in the very last bungalow on the road, the windows overlooked the fence and the field, and the second floor was almost the first, and it would not have been difficult to climb up there.
Now we began to ask that we at least change the number to another one in the same Nasawi. But even here it turned out that there was nothing they could do to help us. They said that they no longer had free rooms, although many tourists came with us and everyone was given the keys to the rooms, that is, there were free rooms. They just didn't want to help us in any way. Being completely exhausted, we decided to go to the Cancun reception. Much nicer people worked there. Three girls at the reception sincerely sympathized with us when we told them our problem. They said they would help us which was no problem. But, unfortunately, this turned out not to be the case. They also told us that this building is considered 4 *, and Nasawi - 3 *. It is not clear how this can be, but we have that building indicated in the voucher. We could not understand it in any way, because it's all one big hotel.
Then came the general manager of Cancun, who was German, we told him everything, and he promised that he would help. He called our guide and then said that we still have to wait until 15 o'clock, but when the guide comes, he will talk to him and we will be accommodated in the Cancun building, but for now we can go for lunch and leave our things in the storage room . A piece in our throat, of course, did not climb after such a reception! But, nevertheless, we have hope. After waiting for 15 hours, we went to the reception, but there we were told that we had to go to the Nasawi building and talk to Nubil. Arriving there and finding Nubil, we began to ask him to help us and go with us to Cancun. But he didn't even want to listen to us! He can't put us in Cancun until we pay him. And when the girlfriend started crying again, he turned around and left. We were just dumbfounded! We didn't know what to do next!
We did not want to settle in that terrible room on the outskirts, and we were afraid to do the same. But at the same time, we understood that no one would settle us in Cancun. We came to the conclusion that everything here is controlled by our guide. That he shares with the head of the hotel and in this way they cash in on Russian tourists (because the girls at the reception and the general manager in Cancun unanimously told us that our guide Nubil is a very good friend of the owner of the Carribien World Scanes-Monastir hotel) . We had no choice but to return to Nubil and give him those ill-fated $120. And that he choked on them! In addition, we calculated that it was only about 1600 rubles per person. Not so much money, but we will live all the remaining 11 days now in a normal room near the sea and the pool.

We only got to our room around 5pm. The whole day was lost, although we expected that the day of arrival would be a full day for us.
And after all that we had experienced, we could not come to our senses in any way, it seemed to us that the rest was completely ruined, we were not even happy with the water park and the sea, and we wanted to go home. The next day we were upgraded to a sea view room. Still for such money! The first day passed, we more or less got used to it, came to our senses, and we immediately began to like everything. There were some shortcomings, but compared to what it was, they are nothing.

SWIMMING POOL. Of course, we were delighted with the water park, which has 6 different slides, and there were also children's slides at the other end of the pool. But the water in the pool is too salty, and when you dive from the slides into this water, the sensations in your nose and throat are disgusting. And my friend, in the middle of the rest, had irritation on her face, also from this water.

SEA. We didn't like the sea. In the morning it is even more or less clean, but by lunchtime algae are brought ashore in heaps, which grow right next to the shore in the water.
If you go further, then they will not be. And many more said that there are jellyfish, but fortunately we did not meet them. So we only went swimming in the morning.

NUTRITION. We had all inclusive. We ate to satiety, but there was no variety in food. Same thing for breakfast. Before dinner, you could eat pizza and french fries outside. For lunch, some pasta of various kinds, which we soon began to choke on. For dinner too, but we could go to other restaurants on site every evening: Tunisian, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Italian and Grill restaurant. It's free and at least some variety, but you need to pre-register. Drinks are also free until 23, but they won't let you get drunk there. Beer is diluted with water, wine too. And their Tunisian vodka Buha is generally poison.

ANIMATION. Standard animation. The children's room started at about 21:00, and then at about 22:00 there was a performance that lasted about an hour.
It was repeated, but nevertheless we liked it very much. The animators themselves on the territory were about 12 people.

SERVICE STAFF. As mentioned above, the girls at the reception of the Cancun building are much more pleasant and attentive than the staff who work in Nasawi. One of them, at our request, even bought us a Tunisian sim card to call Moscow. But a distinctive feature of Tunisians, or rather Tunisian men, is intemperance towards Russian girls. The hotel has 2 gift shops. As soon as you enter there, they begin to touch you and smile nastily. But it's still flowers! When we went to Ssus for souvenirs, we were stunned! In any shop, they immediately began to get acquainted with us, invite us somewhere, they began to touch us, sometimes they offered goods in exchange for a kiss! That's disgusting! And in one place we heard such words as "fucks, fucks. " We were just horrified.
And we tried to get out of there as soon as possible.

ROOM. We really liked the room. It was very colorful and cozy. The hotel itself is made in colorful colors, orange, yellow, blue. Towels were changed every day, sheets every 3 days. There was no Russian channel. But everything would be fine if we didn’t find a huge cockroach the size of a finger in the bathroom the evening before leaving! We were terribly afraid. Of course, they sprinkled us with some kind of poison, but last night we could not sleep peacefully. And the people we flew out with the next day told us that they found a lizard in their room as soon as they checked in.
In conclusion, I can say that only people who are calm and with iron nerves can go on vacation to Tunisia, and it is advisable to take a stronger man with you.

And one more thing: try to find out who will be your guide before going on vacation (if possible).

And if you suddenly hear the name "Nubil", in no case do not agree. In front of our eyes, the same thing happened to the tourists from Russia who came after us as it happened to us on the first day. The memorized phrase of the guide Nubil about settling into the Cancun building killed all Russian tourists on the spot: "This problem can be solved only by paying $ 5 per person per day. "
