This is the first time I've been so scammed with my check-in. I was lured in by the pretty photos of the hotel room on the Pegas website, but what about the reality? We booked our stay through the Pegas website, carefully inspected the entire hotel based on the photos, and everything was perfect: the sea is right on the beachfront, you don't have to cross the dining room, the restaurant and pool are downstairs, and everything is right there, so you don't have to go anywhere. We finally arrive at the hotel after a 5-hour bumpy ride on an old bus (we were the last ones to disembark). The Turkish guy at reception doesn't speak any Russian at all, only communicates through a translator on his phone, saying check-in is strictly at 2:00 PM and not earlier. Luckily, I arrive at reception on time, but they don't give me the keys; they give them to the porter who was supposed to show us the way. The porter makes a strange turn toward the hotel exit and carries our suitcases across the main two-way road to the neighboring building behind the main one, even further from the sea. . I started arguing about where we were being sent. We'd booked a room in the main building based on a photograph, but the Turks pretended not to understand Russian. A minute later, one of the Turkish citizens gave me his phone number, and the person on the other end introduced herself as a Pegas employee and started spinning yarns about how I'd supposedly bought a cheap room in the adjacent building on the second line of this hotel. I started arguing that the photos on the Pegas website didn't show any photos of the annex building where they were planning to accommodate me. I wouldn't have bought that room then, but would have chosen another hotel at that price with a better offer. The operator remained silent and suggested that if we wanted to check into the main building, we should approach this citizen and pay him 300 euros, and he'd move us to the main building. The tour operator refused to move us, insisting that we'd bought a room based on documents in this hotel in the adjacent building across the street on the second line. . Later on during our vacation, everyone we spoke to had the same experience: everyone was automatically assigned to a hotel across the street on the second line and offered to move us to the main building for our salary. The rooms in this building across the street where we were assigned were simply disgusting. The ground floor, from the exit to the elevator, constantly smelled of shit. The furniture in the room itself was broken, with electrical outlets sticking out. We ate in the main building, and the food was only average: 3 stars. It was mostly vegetable-based, with very few meat dishes. Fruit was mostly apples, with nectarines and watermelons a couple of times. The only thing was that it was a haven for drinkers; there was so much free beer and vodka that some people were falling down the stairs completely drunk by lunchtime. The sun loungers and umbrellas by the sea were 50/50, all broken. The only good thing was the very warm sea; we stayed in the water for 2.5 hours. So, first of all, when purchasing a tour, ask for a photo of the building where the room will be located, so that you don’t end up like I did on the second coast across the main road with two-way traffic.
