Just returned recently. Went on vacation with my mom. The rest lasted from 07/07/2011 to 07/12/2011. So, as they say, from the ship to the ball, I decided to write a review. I have been to Turkey more than once, but in Alanya, or rather in Konakli for the first time, I have a lot of impressions and unfortunately I can’t say that they are all positive. As you know, the first impression plays an important role, and it turned out. Well, let's start in order.
1. We arrived at the hotel at 11.30 am and were told to wait for check-in until 15.00, as it should be according to the European system. This, of course, did not surprise us, but did not suit us, because there was a 15-hour road behind us and we wanted to relax. We asked at the reception to look for a room as soon as possible and, oddly enough, he was found within 5 minutes, but not everything was so smooth. The room was on the 2nd floor of the main building. In itself, not bad, as in principle, and all the rooms of this hotel, but the view from the window left much to be desired. The fact is that just under the balcony (by the way, its size was 70 cm by 2 m) there was a back door of the kitchen and the smells in the room were "magnificent". Among other things, under the windows there was a shed and an old rusty car, hoses and buckets were scattered everywhere. Naturally, we did not like this picture, we returned to the reception and asked to find another room, to which the receptionist was very surprised and said that this was one of the best rooms (although in my opinion a hotel that proudly wears 5 stars should not have such rooms generally). All subsequent requests were answered with obvious discontent and even rudeness. According to the receptionists, we have a standard room in our voucher and the view from the window is not specified, which is strange because all 300 hotel rooms are standard (it is not clear who they were trying to deceive). And why, for the same money, someone gets a room with a sea view, and we with a view of the household. In addition, the presented picture, according to the hotel staff, was nothing more than a beautiful garden, although my personal idea of a garden is somewhat different. Taught by experience, since we have been to Turkey more than once, we offered a small reward for finding a normal room, to which we received wild surprise from the hotel employee as if he had never seen money (although it seemed to us that he just wanted a large amount, but why pay for that which has already been paid for). The concept that the client is always right, clearly ingrained in the head, is clearly not familiar to the employees of this hotel, and frank rudeness is not alien to them, unfortunately. In general, after long scandals, screams and squabbles, after involving our guide and hotel manager, we were very quickly found a room in a separate two-story building with a sea view. Nevertheless, the mood was already badly spoiled.
2. With regard to nutrition, then here we were overtaken by disappointment. We have already been to different hotels in Turkey and with different stars, and we can say with confidence that the food presented does not pull 5 stars, a maximum of 3. Let's start from the beginning. Very disappointed salad table with its scarcity. Also, the first courses, which are difficult to call soups, neither in appearance nor in taste, did not appeal. Other cold appetizers did not cause appetite, and sometimes disgusted. Very wild combinations of ingredients in these dishes. With regards to the hot, fish and eggplant pleased us here. From meat there was only chicken 2 times and only for dinner, once lamb. And of course, soy meat, one kind of which is far from pleasing. Of the fruits, only watermelons and green unsweetened melons were given. I was pleased with the breakfast represented by a wide variety of muesli, yoghurts, jams, the only thing I would like is more often scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs. There are a lot of desserts, but I can’t say that they are all delicious, they are somehow different, not to our taste, and many of them were frankly tasteless and unsalted. Drinks are standard. These are beer, vodka, crayfish, gin, cola, sprite, fanta, yupi, mineral water. Pleased with an afternoon snack, which gave delicious pastries.

3. Entertainment in the hotel was a daytime activities invented by animators. Unfortunately, the animation was not the strongest, rather even weak. In general, I did not like it.
4. As for the territory of the hotel, there is nothing bad to say. The area is large and very beautiful, lots of greenery and flowers. In addition, it was possible to walk around the territory of the neighboring hotel. Very nice and big pool, clean, with slides. There were no problems with sun loungers. Even if there were not enough of them, you could always ask to be brought from the beach, for example.
5. Didn't like the beach. Since it is shared by two hotels, there were a lot of people, and the point was not that there were not enough sun loungers, no, they could be taken at any time of the day and it was not necessary to get up very early and run to take a seat. No, the fact is that people, like in an anthill, lay almost on top of each other. It's not very pleasant. Moreover, the second part of the beach was very dirty and the sea was apparently not cleaned there. Of course, there were no papers and bottles, but algae, leaves and branches were present in large numbers.
6. There was a so-called shopping mall on the territory of the hotel, which included an Internet cafe (by the way, it is strange that the Internet was paid in 5 stars), a textile store, clothing, food, a photo studio, a hairdresser, jewelry, leather and souvenirs. Textiles are very good and inexpensive, there is a very friendly seller, probably the only friendly Turk in the whole hotel, gave gifts, made big discounts. The souvenir shop has a very poor selection and rather high prices. Moreover, the seller was not at all accommodating and with great difficulty threw off a maximum of 1-2 dollars. In the leather shop, there is a rather friendly Russian woman who tells everything in detail, shows and persuades to buy. In jewelry, there is no choice and sellers who do not even know the price of their goods.

7. The hotel staff and the quality of services in general can be assessed as a C grade. Again, everything spoiled the first impression. Of course, after checking in at the reception, they became more polite, but still they did not skimp on barbs in our and not only our address. By the way, this attitude was only towards Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians. While they were very kind to foreigners, not allowing either rudeness or sidelong glances. It seemed to me that in relation to the Russians, of decent words, apart from the memorized word "respected", they do not know anything at all. The rest of the staff were also not friendly. In the restaurant, plates and glasses were carried away from under your nose, as soon as you turned away, even if you had not finished your meal yet. By the way, there has never been a presentation of dishes, although in Turkey they often arrange it. As for the maids, there are no complaints about them. Room cleaning is good, every day they twisted all sorts of prettiness from blankets, towels and flowers, despite the fact that we did not always leave them a tip.
In general, the impression of the hotel itself is not bad, the rest was a success in any case, the main thing is to have a positive attitude. But nevertheless, due to the unsatisfactory work of the staff and poor nutrition, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and acquaintances, since its star rating is clearly overstated. The price-quality ratio is not justified, for such a service the hotel needs to remove a couple of stars and reduce the price.
