After reading reviews (mostly negative) about the ROYAL VIKINGEN hotel, it became a little uncomfortable ....But when we got to this hotel we were pleasantly surprised.
Let's start in order:
1. In the Alanya region for the first time (basically always rested in Kemer), mountains and coniferous forests were a little lacking. But steppe Turkey has its advantages. Beautiful banana groves, orange and pomegranate gardens, ficuses that grow like chestnuts in Kyiv!! ! !
2. The hotel is located in the village of Konakli, about 2.5 hours from Antalya Airport (but since we were the first time in this region, the time spent on the transfer and viewing the beauties did not overshadow the trip). The territory of the hotel is not very big, but well-groomed.
The room is good, not big, but quite comfortable (considering that you spend a minimum of time in the room only sleeping and taking a shower - just SUPER! ) Room cleaning is daily. Water in the room all the time.
The settlement went quickly.

We arrived at 11 am, and at 12:15 we were already settled in a room (although the day before our arrival, a family from Russia was settled in a nearby hotel for the night, because there were no free rooms). There are three swimming pools on the territory (large, for children with water slides, and for completely "midgets" knee-deep). Our children were delighted with the water slides (two guys 11 and 5 years old) and to the question: what did they like most about the sea - they answer OF COURSE SLIDES ! ! ! !
3. FOOD! ! ! After reading (I don’t remember on which site) a review and a story that everyone was hungry and there was nothing to eat ! ! ! ! I just went into a state of shock! ! ! ! How is there nothing to eat? There is so much food that you can burst without reaching the room or sun lounger! ! ! ! Of course, lobsters were not given, but meat, vegetable, groceries and side dishes were always at least 3-4 types. It was a fish day (sushi, 5 or 6 varieties of fish to choose from). The spiciness of the food is moderate.
Fresh vegetables and fruits (always apples and oranges), watermelons, strawberries, small bananas, apricots and that's all in the month of June. Every day for lunch and dinner, the waiter politely asks: what kind of wine will you drink? (red, rose or white? ) and the wine is served in BOTTLES AND ICE BUCKET! ! ! ! This is in Turkey, which is famous for the rather dubious quality of alcoholic beverages! ! ! The wine tastes like dry wines like "Golden Amphora", but this is TURKEY AND FOR THEM IT'S JUST A GORGEOUS WINE! ! ! Tip - take the red, as for me, it is the most delicious. EFES beer, alcoholic cocktails are very tasty, ice chips, cola, fanta, sprite, powdered juices (as elsewhere), coffee from a machine, but if you wish, you can buy natural brewed Turkish coffee for 2 euros in a cafe near the pool.
4. SEA! ! ! The beach is NOT sandy and pebbly, but pebbles mixed with large and small ones, the entrance to the sea is difficult.
Not that you need special shoes, but the priority when choosing a hotel was the presence of a sandy beach, and then not for us (adults), but for children. Perhaps the coast was affected by the fact that on the arrival of four days the sea was stormy, and perhaps large stones were washed up by the waves. There were always enough sunbeds, they took their own towels, as towels are issued at the hotel against a deposit of $ 10, followed by a replacement of $ 3 per day. A little lathered algae.

5. CONTINGENE OF HOLIDAYERS. Upon arrival, 90% of the holidaymakers were Germans of advanced retirement age and married couples with children. Old German women calmly sunbathed topless, which slightly spoiled the overall picture of nature, but very much raised self-esteem. Five days later, Russians came in large numbers, and so it began: a discussion of who didn’t cut the carrot and what wasn’t salted, peppered ....etc.
Honestly, when you hear and see this rudeness on the part of the Slav brothers, it becomes, to put it mildly, a shame that you are also included in their number and treat you a little with caution. At every opportunity, I wanted to shout, “I AM NOT FROM RUSSIA! ! ! I AM UKRAINIAN! ! ! WE ARE NOT LIKE THEM…” Although each nationality has its own moral monsters that leave an unpleasant opinion about certain people from different countries.
6. The staff, of course, worked for the Germans, as well as the animation was all in German or broken English, Russian words were inserted a couple of times in performances or at a children's disco.

SHORTER! ! ! Do not believe the snickering and spoiled tourists who have heard enough of the stories of their richer and more successful friends, and expect from a vacation in Turkey to be carried in their arms and blown with a fan all the time ...The hotel is very good and the attitude, if you have not shown yourself as the last rubbish, will be adequate.
(NOBODY WILL BE LEFT OFF!!! )

Separately, I want to draw attention to the work of professional photographers! ! ! The guys work with high quality and with enthusiasm! ! ! Save your money and take home at least a few sunset and family photos. Waking up on a cold, winter morning and catching a glimpse of one of these photos, you just run to work early to have time to do more work, get a bonus and go to the sea again! ! !
