We rested at the Yalipark hotel from 16.06. 12 to 30.06. 12. When I was looking for reviews on this hotel, they were picked up “one, two and counted! ". On the one hand, this was pleasing: it means that "Russo tourists - the image of morale" did not reach the Yalikavak place in mass quantities. However, on the other hand, it was alarming: what if you meet something terribly bad - the whole rest is in vain.
After searching for options (price guide), we chose Yalipark, since Pegasus had reasonable prices for this hotel. At the very beginning of the trip, we received a free bonus in the form of a sleepless night at Sheremetyevo Airport from Nord Wind, Pegasus' air partner (the flight was delayed for 4 hours - we flew out only at 8 am). When transferring to the hotel, I was pleased with the Pegasus. Not only did they take everyone to the hotels for about three hours, but we, who were going to Yalipark, were dropped off on the highway and said: “The bus is big, but the streets in Yalikavak are narrow, you can get there on foot. ”
They were not smart enough to give a minibus. Walking with things 500 meters in the heat is a pleasure for everyone. We were not amateurs. (Looking ahead, I’ll say: “They still thought of giving a minibus for the way back”).
For breakfast, due to the fault of the airline, we were late. When we arrived at the hotel, there were 15 minutes left before the end of lunch. My wife and one charming tourist Natasha decided to download the license from the Pegasus guide. I immediately realized that it was useless and, leaving my things at the reception, went to eat.
In order not to write about food further, I will say right away: “The feeding was good. ” There was meat (although not very much), chicken almost every day, soybeans were present (where in a three-ruble note without it), they fried fish once, they made different soups all the time. From fruits - watermelon, melon, oranges and plums. About a bunch of salads, tomatos, cucumbers, etc. , you can not mention - everything was in due quantity and without queues.
The culinary team was good (they cooked deliciously, they put an additive and did not look askance at the same time). I almost forgot about you-beer. Very good red and white wine, the bottle is opened in front of you. Beer, when. Not bad brandy, gin for an amateur, I didn’t drink vodka. For coffee lovers there is a coffee machine (everything from chocolate to cappuccino).
About accommodation and hotel. We asked for a room on the second floor. Gave without problems, without any surcharges. We were lucky - the windows of the room overlooked the neighboring hotel, and not the road. Yes, the rooms are really small, so not for luxury lovers. The TV is tiny under the ceiling, the signal was intermittently lost. (If it weren't for the European Football Championship, I wouldn't need it). The bathroom is normal: everything worked and there was hot water. Cleaning is a problem, of course. No, the guys came, washed the floor, put both paper and soap, but for two weeks (despite the tip) they never changed towels and linen. By the way, there is no shampoo here, take it with you, but there is a hair dryer.
(You could go and quarrel at the reception, but I didn’t want to spoil my vacation, especially since no one knows Russian there, and their English is no better than mine). In the right wing of the hotel (when viewed from the pool) there is access to the roof. In the evening, very beautiful views of the sunset can be photographed.
Now about the beach. The beach is right in front of the hotel, you crossed the promenade and you are on it. There were always enough umbrellas and sunbeds when you didn't come. So there were no posts. The beach is municipal, that is, not fenced in anything. This brought some inconvenience. It should be noted that in Yalikavak there are a huge number of dogs walking on their own. These are not some tiny mongrels, but real cables. Such a “comrade” (see photo) will come to the beach and lie down next to your sunbed, and what cats are scratching in his soul - go, guess. And if even his friends pull up to him, put out the light.
A few words about the sea. The sea here is transparent, expanse for lovers of snorkeling.
Fish walk in schools, in the immediate vicinity of the shore, and if you start turning the stones at the bottom, then there will be an attraction "all the fish are visiting us. " By the way, there are crabs hiding under the stones, flounders are disguised at the bottom, and there are also a lot of galaturia. I saw only one sea urchin in close proximity to the shore, the rest live behind the buoys. However, from time to time garbage is washed ashore, but the hotel workers fight it to the best of their ability.
Regarding the contingent of tourists and animation. This hotel is focused on Turks - 90 percent of vacationers are locals of different ages (from babies to grandmothers). For two weeks of rest, no more than 15 Russians have been here. People who do not know how to entertain themselves and prefer to be animated - obviously not here. Animation is missing COMPLETELY. (Except for the animation of checkers and backgammon, which are given out in the bar, but they are always subscribed by the Turks).
For people who are oriented towards active recreation, Yalikavak presents a lot of opportunities to broaden their horizons.
Do not listen to guides who will tell horror stories and sell tours to Bodrum for crazy money. In Yalikavak there is the final minibus to Bodrum. They run every 20 minutes and cost 5 Turkish lira. Arrive at the bus station of Bodrum, from it to the fortress 10 minutes on foot. The entrance ticket costs 20 Turkish lira (dollars and euros are not taken - exchange at a bank in Yalikavak). Before the trip, do not be lazy and collect free maps of Bodrum at local travel agencies (one is located on the promenade, where there are many fish restaurants - you have to go to the left of the hotel). The fortress is really interesting, there is something to see and take pictures.
About distant excursions. In local travel agencies, tours to Ephesus cost from $38 to $45, two days Ephesus - Pamuk-Kale - 90, and tour operators offer them for 100 and 200, respectively.
Natasha went to Ephesus from a local travel agency and was very pleased.

Now about local attractions. First of all, walk along the embankment towards the fortress, which is visible from the beach of the Yalipark hotel (the fortress is a remake - it has no historical value). Admire the paintings of local artists (there is a vernissage), yachts, a mill, and in general the views, and, of course, souvenir shops. It is especially beautiful there in the evening. After familiarizing yourself with the village, you can make long trips.
Sandima is a village in the mountains, abandoned by the inhabitants (I did not find any information why they left there). It's not far to go, about 3 km. , but out of habit, you can not find the right road (which happened to us), so I will give guidelines. Go left from the Yalipark Hotel to the mosque, further down the street where the taxis stand, then straight down the street past the monument to Ataturk and you will see the Sandima sign.
Now go along the indicated road, without turning anywhere, and you will be happy.
Coves and beaches to the right of the hotel. On the peninsula located on the right side of the hotel there is a reserve where sea lions live (we really didn’t see them - they probably sailed away to hunt). Due to the fact that this is a protected area, almost pristine places have been preserved. To distant beaches with clear water (they are still transported on yachts for 50 Turkish liras) can be reached along an asphalt road in about an hour and a half. Landmark - after passing the shipyard, turn left and go along the road without turning anywhere. Another beautiful place is Dodo Beach. To get there
it is necessary: after passing the shipyard, turn right, go out onto the highway, climb the mountain to the mosque and turn right at the sign, and there the road will lead itself out (walk 40 minutes from the hotel).
True, one beach there is paid, but the second, which is located a five-minute walk from the paid one, is municipal, I don’t want to relax. We were on weekdays, there were no people, the water is clean, and squids live there too. Yes, for lovers of historical antiquities. Near the road to Dodo Beach, on the left side, there are stone Lycomedian tombs in the rock. Of course, “everything has already been stolen before us” inside, but non-professional archaeologists will be pleased to poke their nose into the depths of centuries.
Road to Gumusluk. I read about the picturesque road to Gumusluk and we decided to take it. Don't repeat our mistake! The road was once picturesque, but now there is an active construction of various villas and other joys of life. You won’t particularly approach the shore - the guards are standing. It is problematic to go down to the sea, there are steep rocks everywhere. In one place we went down a long staircase, but the sea here is clearly not conducive to swimming.
Huge slippery boulders that are difficult to see in the crashing foam of huge waves. We walked a few more kilometers and realized that Gumusluk would not submit to us. So if you want to experience the “adventure of crossing the sunken ancient royal road to the island of Tavshan Adasy (Hare Island) past the underwater ruins of the city of Mindos”, take a minibus - since there are a lot of them (departure in the same place as in Bodrum).
Now about the weather. We vacationed in June. I was afraid (having read weather statistics) that it would be cool. Ha-ha, the sun was scorching under 40, the sea was comfortable - not less than 23, but ...If someone had a rest in Egypt, he remembers the famous winds of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. In Yalykavak, the wind blows no worse, and if the first week there was a light breeze, then on the second it was “blown away” from the sunbed, so all the time I sang a song: “Listen, the winds are blowing alarmingly, it’s time for us to part. ”
Summing up, I want to say: “Yalikavak is not a place for parents with children (although there is an amusement park here), not for lovers of luxury and animation, but for people who are set on a positive discovery of the world. ”

When we were going to rest - there was no time for reflection at all. Our weekend was coming to an end, and it was necessary to fly out urgently. There was a limited amount of money left by the middle of the vacation, so the economy option was chosen. Of course, I was surprised by the price. For three (2 + child) came out 18300 rubles. 5 days / 4 nights. By the way, as we later found out from compatriots from this hotel (and there were only 2 of them), their ticket cost them 24.000 rubles for 14 days for two.
We found the only review about this hotel that made us smile. From the words of the author it was assumed that: from the window, a view of the construction site, the rooms are damp, there is nothing to eat, but a great view of the sea. Well? And we don't need more. We do not sit in the rooms - we will admire the beautiful view! ))) - we decided. And let's go, and believe me - not in vain!

The location of the hotel and its territory.
The hotel is located in the most remote area (region, as the locals call them) of Bodrum.
In principle, this is not very convenient, on the one hand ...Since all travel by bus takes 2 times more time. Well, for example, we were the last to be delivered from the airport - as we brought all those who arrived to the hotels on the way. (By the way, the road took about 1.5 hours. ) We got up earlier for the tour - because we are the first to leave, and we collect everyone else from other hotels. But there is a plus in this! You can enjoy the view of the city! The buses of the Odeon operator that meets us are almost all equipped with air conditioning. All roads pass along the mountain serpentine around the sea bays, beaches and hotels. So you can see what the city is like right after arrival. And it's not boring at all.

The hotel itself is tiny. Its territory is not more than 1 sq. km. There are only 4 buildings on the territory. 2 of which are technical - reception and "dining room", 2 - residential.
If we consider the territory of the hotel as a rectangle, then everything looks as follows.
In front of the front, a short line of the rectangle, along it, there is a footpath - an embankment, 1.5 meters wide, which goes to the center of the district from the outermost apartment (private hotel or house on the coast). The beach starts right behind the path. That is, the embankment, in fact, separates the line of the sea from the line of hotels. And the front line itself is (further from right to left) the entrance to the open dining room, a hedge (in front of which there is a cafe - a bistro with VERY tasty ice cream - 1 lira! ), the entrance to the bar. Bar - a wooden structure - a gazebo, elongated. From the side of the embankment it is fenced off with glass (windows), but in general - not glazed and without walls. On the left in the bar - sofas with tables, on the right - tables with benches.

On the first third of the front part of the rectangle (further inland), between the dining room and the bar, there is a pool, divided into 2 parts in a ratio of 1:4 into a deep pool and a paddling pool. The pool is small. But! ! .
Since there are only 2 residential buildings, THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE!! ! The hotel + everything is not completely full. The size of the pool is quite enough for "swimming after the sea" (after rinsing, as required by the rules of the hotel). Immediately behind the pool (from right to left) is an open shower (behind the open dining room), a catering unit (the place where they cook (? )) and near which food is placed (buffet), reception. It has a toilet (near the pool - convenient) and sofas with a TV.
The second third of the rectangle (even further inland) - begins with the "crossroads" of the hotel's paths, in front of which there are stone benches-slices on the right and left. Residential buildings begin immediately after the intersection. All buildings in Bodrum are built in the same architectural style. Absolutely all houses are white (ancient Greek tradition) no higher than 3 floors. The residential buildings of the Yaly Park Hotel are 2-storey.
Entrances lined up opposite each other, separated by a path, after which various trees (including tangerines) and shrubs grow closer to the buildings. Very nice and fragrant.
Each building is the letter P. On the inside of the letter there is a common balcony - a veranda. The entrance to the rooms is not one - but separate. From the balcony-veranda to the room.

Rooms. Our room (were not in others) 2+ extra. cot. The room was located on the 1st floor, with a total area of .15 meters. The room has a double bed (more precisely, 2 double orthopedic mattresses laid on top of each other), 2 bedside tables, a dressing table (mirror with a cabinet), built-in wardrobe, balcony, window, air conditioning, TV without Russian channels. Toilet with shower. The room is really raw, but what else can it be? On the ground floor 500 meters from the sea? (although the entrance and the balcony located opposite each other are perpendicular to the line of the sea).
Balcony ...well, that's a strong word, of course ...It looks like this: a balcony door through which one could go out into the street, if it had not been enclosed by an outwardly bent, forged lattice 50 cm from the ground, along the perimeter of the balcony door. As a result, the area of the balcony is ...cm 50 sq. ))) More than hanging 2 towels on the grate to dry - it is not suitable for anything . . Well, one person can smoke while standing on the street (behind even a closed balcony door) ...at night and admire the stars) ))).

View from the windows.
Hotels along the coast are close to each other. The fence is nominal. (mostly stone fences no more than 1 meter). In the hotel next door to us (on which our windows overlooked) there is really a construction going on. Well, that is, it has been started, but apparently stopped before the onset of autumn, so as not to scare away customers. Thus, from the window, a view of a neighboring hotel with an unfinished building (and not a "construction site" in the full sense of the word).
By the way, another residential building (and ours was on the right) has a view of the road (behind which, again, another hotel) on which cars drive (reeeeeedko). The road is perpendicular to the line of the sea.

Beach.
The beach is finely pebbly. Between 2 breakwaters there are 2 beaches. Yala Park Hotel and Mary Ken Story Hotel. There is no border between them. But you need to rest on your own. Meri Kena beach is cleaned every five minutes. The hotel worker is a polyglot, a very nice little man. But the beach of Yala Park is cleaned less often. And he looks uglier. But in principle, both beaches are clearly in the middle of the bay of the Yalikovak district. As you know, in the middle - the sea is cleaner))) (garbage rarely brings). When entering the water, stones the size of a fist and so. Sea urchins in the sea!! ! You need to swim in slippers, firstly, it doesn’t hurt to enter, and secondly, it’s safe. We learned about Hedgehogs ourselves - we dived in a mask. The Odeon guides did not tell us anything about them ...There could be injuries (((.
There are very few people in the Yala Park hotel (there were only 5 Russians with us))) so there are always sunbeds near the pool and on the sea. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free (which, by the way, also played a significant role in the choice of the hotel).
View from the bay… Sea view))) from the middle of the bay.

Food, bar. Staff.
All inclusive. Buffet. Menu: well, about “nothing to eat”, the author of the review we read got excited. There is no meat. There are peppers stuffed with pearl barley and minced meat (albeit a little bit of minced meat), well, and in some dishes there is a drop of minced meat. Once there was fish (for 3 days), apparently cheap and very bony. But vegetables in any form - a wagon! Meals 4 times a day. For breakfast, an omelet or a boiled egg, sausage (which is similar to sausage in Hurghada in 5 stars, but much tastier), 2 types of cheese, 5 types of olives, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers. Tea, coffee, milk, 2 types of cereal, jams, honey, butter, awesome Turkish bread and of course watermelons.
Watermelons were on every meal. And that's not it. You can't remember everything else))) For lunch, there is all of the above + soup-puree from corn or peas. We all really liked it.
There is an afternoon snack between lunch and dinner. Which relies on 1-2 pieces of black or white biscuit with tea or coffee. We took jams and honey from breakfast, which went well with this biscuit + bought ice cream near the hotel. Dinner is not much different from lunch. Pea porridge, pasta, etc. , etc. In short, you won't die of hunger. You can "get meat" by buying "mutton shawarma" - "durum" in the local way - 4 - 4.5 lira.
English speaking staff. Very cute. Very smiling. All the boys are young (20 years old). Everyone is kind, no fussing, which for the better distinguished the whole of Bodrum from Sede or, for example, Kemer. (we were 2 young girls). Dishes can be taken anywhere (glasses with beer, wine, juice, to the beach, water in the room at night, spoons for local yogurts, etc. ).
The only minus is room cleaning… We didn't wait for it. Accordingly, as well as the change of towels, which we had 1 set for 3. Towels cannot be taken out of the room. To the beach with yours.
The bar is open until 23.00. But the deadline does not close on time. When we played with Norway (? ) (I'm not a fan) the bar was open until the end of the match. And they poured beer for everyone))) Moreover, they were allowed to watch football on TV, and not in a sports bar, only in our hotel, of which there were people with us on excursions))). Local drinks at the bar. Crayfish, vodka, beer (decent. Much better than ours), red and white wine, fanta, sprite, etc. Juice in Turkish is not a very good word. So, it is better to call it in English. Even though he doesn't seem to be in the bar anyway. There is UPI with water.

Tours.
Good little ...Were 2x.
The first, the so-called "Sightseeing tour of Bodrum" is included in the price of the tour. Well, as usual, they picked us up first and took us to hotels in a minibus.
Then, transplanted into a large one to another group. There was no tour in our minibus. Guide Dasha told only what she was asked about (I think this is a flaw in the Odeon). The whole big bus was taken… SHOP. 1st stop - jewelry center. Free drinks, discounts, resizing, etc. , Russian-speaking "store guides" (it is extremely difficult to call them sellers. Very highly intelligent and educated people with excellent knowledge of the Russian language). It's nice that they accept ruble credit cards.
2 stop - the company for the production of leather products "Naturel". Good quality stuff. BUT… No matter how you are rubbed that you will change what you bought from us, and so on… Exchange is unrealistic! We liked the jacket, but it was not the size we needed. They promised to bring The store guide Nadezhda, tearing her shirt on her chest, swore that everything would be “tip-top” . . And the fig came out with butter. We explained that we would not be here for long, that we would not have time to change, and so on and so forth.
Hope assured that it would not be necessary to change. As a result, it was promised that the jacket would be delivered on the eve of our departure at 12 at night. The jacket was delivered ...But SMALLER. That is, a jacket with an M label, actually a 42nd size. It seems that they just changed the label, because they brought the very one that we measured, and which did not suit us (there were their own marks). Moreover, we asked the courier to bring 2 pieces and call us back upon arrival. They asked us to put aside 2 pieces of different colors for us (black - the size of which suited us and supposedly re-sewn red - so that in case of a mismatch we would not leave with nothing). The courier didn't call. The jacket is small. We found out in the morning that they brought her to us. One hour before departure. The exchange is possible only during the second visit to the store, on the next visit! In short, DON'T BELIEVE! Didn't fit - don't buy! Otherwise, you will have to start selling in your homeland, and it is unlikely that you will get the full price for it!
Or wait a year ...until the next visit, and there they probably won’t accept it for the same price - the fashion has passed or something else (((
3 stop shop of sweets, souvenirs, spices and soaps. My advice - do not buy anything other than Turkish delight and halva. They are amazingly delicious. Not cloying, as we are used to in Moscow, but a little sweet. With a distinct taste of additives (nuts, etc. ). And everything else is cheaper in the shops of the area. Here, in Yalykovak, on the embankment, olive soap cost 1-2 lira, and in the excursion - 3 euros! And everything else is also very much more expensive.
Then our bus went to the city… A few words about the monuments of Oto Turku, 1 word about the fortress. Forced waiting for another bus at the mills. All. We were late for lunch, we didn’t learn anything new about the city ...In general, if you don’t have shopping in your plans, don’t waste your day! The sea and the sun are healthier.

2nd excursion Hamam. Turkish sauna.
$40 for an adult $30 for a child under 12.
Start at 20.45. Well, as usual… A minibus arrived this time (well, like night and cool, probably) without air conditioning. With 2 non-English or Russian non-speaking guides. In the end, only with the help of our receptionist found out what to wear and what to take. Although we did not take the money ...But in vain. In the bath, drinks (except tea) are only paid and we would die of thirst, if it were not for the guide of the Odeon, Dima, who helped us out.
We drove to Hamam for 1 hour ...Our guides got lost looking for some kind of hotel. As a result, as we understood someone, we did not find it. The hammam itself is located at the hotel, the name of which we did not see.
Sauna, soap massage, tea, Maslenitsa massage. Sauna without towels. Soap massage - boorish Turks, with awesome pride and beautiful voices. The tea is strong. Maybe with sugar. Shrovetide massage - well, I was lucky, my sister too - it didn’t hurt, the girl with the tattoo did the relaxation. The rest I don't know.
In general - only a very approximate idea of the real Hamam. If you still go, take rubber shoes, a towel and money. Buy water, a washcloth for peeling and soap. You can take a camera. Have time to click)) All valuables during massages and saunas will be in the safe, and the key will be on your hand.
There are also excursions to Pamukalla, Israel (500 euros per person), Istanbul (1500 euros) (not vice versa), and some other ...

Our hotel from the rest (even 5-star) was favorably distinguished by the presence of the embankment. Along which there are cafes, shops, shops and a bay for yachts. (about 1 km from the hotel to the center). In all cafes, night discos are held (this does not prevent the hotel residents from sleeping at all. We have not been to any, so there is nothing to tell. In addition, it does not interfere with sleep. ) But you can go to cafes - have a bite, chat. By the way prices.
Well, for example, 8 tiger prawns in batter, with french fries, salad, bread + butter + ketchup, mayonnaise cost 21 lira. And all this together is one dish and is called by one word. (I forgot (() It was enough for us for 3. (this is about the size). It was disappointing that there were few seafood on the menu. No mussels, no ropans, no crabs, no lobsters. Lobsters can be bought by weight at crazy prices - 1 kg costs 130-150 dollars.
A trip on a yacht for 2-3 hours will cost you 300-400 dollars. The prices shocked me a little. I didn't think it could be so expensive.

My resume.
This hotel is not for those who are used to super comfort and high quality service. This hotel is for those who finally understood that there is no wild tourism in Russia and Crimea! And what is - not tourism. Who, saving their money, does not want to get “in the face with a rag”, but wants to relax by the sea not among a thousand people peeling “seeds”.
Who does not want to get up at 6 in the morning in order to take a sunbed, or at least a place on the beach, who appreciates a kind and not indifferent attitude for minimal money. If you find tickets to the hotel Mary Ken Story (our neighbor) - I think it will be better there!

Airline. Aeroflot Don. If I had the opportunity to choose, I would never fly with this airline. Aircraft are ancient. Flight attendants are ALL rude. Any answer to any question sounds like you personally have been asking about it for the third hour in a row. Well, for example, S. - Tea, coffee, milk! I. - Can I just have milk? S. - Well, don't you hear? I suggest! » The tables fall off. They feed badly. The trays are small. Inconvenient - horror! On the return flight, the stewardess spilled tea (hot) on me, I naturally gasped ...to which she replied, shouting "CLEAN" ...that's it, I told her. Earth and sky compared to TransAero, for example.

Bodrum airport
Keep in mind everything is prohibitively expensive there!
You get to the airport and don't smoke anymore. Nowhere. Even if your plane is delayed for 4 hours. You go through registration, passport control and enter the country for the Rockefellers. Fanta $5, tea bags $6, beer $7. We brought water with us from the hotel. We missed her. And one more thing ...Prices in duty-free shops in euros, when converted into dollars, the price soars. 39 euros equals 62 dollars. By the way, there are duty free shops upon arrival in Bodrum.

I hope my detailed report will help you on your tour! Happy Holidays EVERYONE!! !
