Every year, in the summer, we have a family vacation in Turkey. As a rule, we visit 5+ hotels and try to take into account the opinion of friends who visited these hotels before the trip. This time, the travel agency manager brilliantly sold all the Sungate "benefits" and despite the huge amount of negative reviews on the Internet, we still decided to spend 3 weeks there (a decent cost should have covered our expectations).
Interesting things began to happen at Antalya Airport. We were met by an A-class agency, and despite the fact that we bought an individual transfer, another large family was put on the bus with us....(about the agency - separately and below).
The territory of the hotel is large with a pretty decent landscape..... but the abundance of multi-storey buildings create the effect of a huge metropolis, which is immersed in the heat and smells from restaurants.

We lived in a terrace house on the first floor. The rooms are old, shabby and infested with huge cockroaches. Imagine, at 12 o'clock at night you see a huge barbel crawling along the wall (I attach the photo). After my call to the reception, the guys came with satchels and left behind a shingle from dichlorvos... as a result, we had to move to another room, since it was simply dangerous for children to be around. Also, one morning in the bathroom, my wife found a real mouse. After our call, the same guys came, smeared the floor with some kind of sticky muck and left without telling us anything. After 2 hours they came, showed me the mouse they had caught and explained with a smile that it was nothing, as there are times when orgomic rats run into the room)))
As for the service, it was absent at all... despite the constantly handed out tips, sometimes the waiters did not come for a long time, the room was cleaned symbolically (they changed and made the bed, the floors were not swept, etc. ).
The guest service and reception constantly gave incorrect information, I got the impression that the clerks were not trained at all and would not even understand the essence of the issue. Special thanks to the supervisor named Diana, who was constantly rude and provided false information, also when a problem arose - her role was limited to repeating standard memorized phrases...
Separately about food. Since the hotel is huge and the number of vacationers exceeds the permissible concentration, there was always a shortage and terrible queues in restaurants (sometimes you had to stand for more than 10 minutes. And in open-air restaurants (for example, Kebab) very often there was food with a terrible smell of staleness (salads and fruits just rotten in the heat).
Now separately about the A-class. The manager's name was Rafshan, who did not particularly strain and sat in the bar, as if in the workplace)))
Before leaving the hotel, Rafshan informed us that our flight was not being rescheduled (departure from 1600) and we left the hated hotel at 1300 with relief. Also, our guide offered us the Fast Pass service, which meant skipping the line to the required airport gate. The service cost $ 75 per person, and Rafshan argued that since we are children, it’s not good to stand in lines...

Upon arrival at the airport, we were very quickly and completely pulled out of the car and simply carried on our hands through the crowd of the airport, and we very quickly found ourselves behind the passport control zone. Before the first board, our porter asked us to pay and..... attention, he immediately informed us that the flight was delayed by 8 hours))))) After my attempts to explain to him that he was wrong, the porter pretended that does not understand Russian and English and in general - he is an airport worker.... (no comments)....
Summary: never trust tour operators, always look for friends who have already visited hotels and use only verified feedback
