NEVER HOLIDAY IN A HOTEL
SUNGATE 5(+2)* (Turkey, Kemer)!!!
My wife and I almost died there!

Hotel pros
* large beautiful area
* large rooms

Minuses
* low maintenance
* too many people
* horrible beach
* traumatic water slides

My wife and I were vacationing in Sungate from 29.04. 07 to 10.05. 07 (11 nights). Travel agency - ICI Tour. Tour operator - TezTour. My name is Vladimir, I'm 42. My wife is Lyudmila, she's 30.

In Turkey and Egypt, we rested in different five stars many times. I must say right away that we are not spoiled tourists. We rest according to the principle “to catch the buzz from everything pleasant and not pay attention to the unpleasant”. However, after my wife almost died on a water slide due to the fault of the hotel, I got a crack in the temporal bone, and the hotel did not even apologize (I'm not even talking about monetary compensation), I decided to write about all this in detail.

check in

We waited over an hour for the keys to be handed over. Settled in Terace House, room 4343.10 minutes after check-in, the light went out in the room.
They called the electricians. The automatic machine passed out, the electricians did not find the reason (why he passed out). 5 minutes after they left, the situation repeated itself. And so several times. Finally, they got tired and they said that they would move us to the next room. Instead of exploring the territory, we sat in the room and waited like fools for about 3 hours. Calling the front desk didn't help. Finally, the key was brought. True, they apologized for taking so long - they say, the room was being cleaned. It's a lie, the room was given next door - 4545, we did not observe any cleaning there. The funny thing is that a week later we met people who were quietly settled in our first room, and they are still suffering with the light.

Our adventures with the number did not end there. The next morning I couldn't open the safe. It was unpleasant as it costs 100 euros to open the safe. However, the security service found that it was not my fault - the battery was dead. At the same time, only one of the 4 batteries was replaced.
To my remark that this is not possible, the batteries will leak, they said that I would have enough for a week. (So the next tourists are doomed?! )

Number
There are no special complaints about the room, except for one. When you turn on the faucet in the bathroom, the jet flies out of the sink and pours below the waist. We filmed it. After returning, I noticed a persistent reflex - I barely open the tap at home, and then carefully adjust it to the desired power.

Low maintenance
There are not enough service personnel. Electricians, security service were waiting for a very long time. In the bar, the bartender bartenders do not have time, they look at you with a look: “How did you get everything. ” Near the pool, the waiter did not bring the requested cola for an hour.

The restaurant waited 10 minutes for the waiter to bring water or juice. There were never toothpicks on the tables (my wife had braces and this was a serious problem for her), napkins were not always available.

We crashed on the hills
I want to say that we chose the hotel because of the advertised own water park. Still, 10 slides! It turned out that two of them did not work, and three more were uninteresting. So we rode two and the people rode three more (we didn't like them). On Monday, May 7, they turned on one of the two non-working slides - orange. It was a delight! A sharp descent down, then a rise up, and then a smooth, but fast descent in the pipe - super! We went down about twenty times, probably. By the end, the adrenaline had already calmed down, the wife stopped screaming and we just enjoyed the sensations. It was necessary to go down there on double rubber circles. I, being heavier, sat in front. Then the slides were turned off, we went to have lunch and returned only at five in the evening. The orange slide worked, we took a circle and climbed up. Here it is necessary to note two points. The first is that on this hill at the bottom you were pressed into the floor so that the effect of a suction cup was obtained.
Because of this, one time we were not even able to go upstairs. I then began to lift my butt a little at the right moment to let in some air if I felt that we would not reach the top point. And the second is that on all slides, for reasons of economy, the water was automatically turned off every 10 minutes. And the lifeguard who controlled the process had to step back a couple of steps and press the switch. Half a minute later, the water began to run again.

So. At that moment, when we sat in a circle and prepared for the descent, the water suddenly turned off. The lifeguard left us, went to the switch, pressed the button, came back to us and promptly pushed us. The nose of the circle dipped forward, and I saw that there was no water at all. All previous times there was always a stream running, but now it was empty. I got the feeling that this is not good. In a second, I felt myself standing in the water in the pool. Ringing in the head, headache in the area of the right temple.
So, I turn back and forth - as in a slow motion movie (I don’t remember the details well, but later I found witnesses of what happened, they helped me restore the picture). The lifeless body of my wife slowly flows down the hill and gurgles into the water. He was immediately picked up by the Turks, there was a feeling that ten of their people had fled. So, the wife swallowed water, someone put her face down over her knee, the water poured out. I remember giving her heart massage and mouth to mouth breathing. She didn't breathe for about a minute, then wheezed. Above her right eye she had a huge red bump, the eye was swollen and would not open. The left eye was ajar, but the pupil was not visible, only protein. Then came the stretcher and electric car of the first-aid post. While we were driving to the first-aid post, my wife opened her left eye and asked: “Vova, what happened? "I told her, 'You hit your head. ' "Where? » «On the hill. » «Which one? » «On orange.
Then she closed her eye for a few seconds, opened it again and asked: “Vova, what happened? ". The dialogue was repeated word for word. And so seven times, until we arrived at the first-aid post. Now this may seem ridiculous. Then, at that moment, it was very scary. It was clear that the wife was losing her memory.

When we arrived at the first-aid post, I was immediately sent for passports and insurance - I had to take my wife to the hospital. She was put on a drip, she had already come to her senses. But she could not remember the name of the hotel, or even the country where it was located. I returned in 10 or 15 minutes. My wife had already remembered everything, so the doctor decided not to take her to the hospital. He said that you need to lie down under a dropper until 23:00. If there is no nausea, it will be possible to sleep in the room.

Blood was flowing from my temple, but the doctor paid attention to this only when I told him about it (by this moment everything had calmed down, my wife was dozing under a dropper).
He didn't even stop the bleeding or disinfect the wound. I just applied ice. Then I found out that the ice cost the insurance company $70!

By 23:00 we were allowed to go to our room. Neither my wife nor I had nausea. My wife even ate strawberries.

The next day we came to see the doctor (he said to be at 10 o'clock). The doctor was not there. He appeared at 11, examined his wife, said that everything was fine, you need to take painkillers, apply ice and smear with the ointment that he will give. He didn’t give the ointment, we smeared it with “rescuer” and “bruise” (very successfully, by the way! ). That's all treatment!

I found witnesses and restored the picture of what happened. It turned out that due to the fact that there was no water, the suction cup effect did not work, at the top point we were thrown up and we crashed into a pipe at full speed, which immediately made a turn to the left. Therefore, we hit the right side of the head.
We both lost consciousness, descended slowly, first me, then the circle, then my wife. The rescuer saw this, shouted to the other Turks, and while we were descending, they managed to run up. They didn’t have time to catch me, but I fell into the water and immediately woke up, got up on my own. What happened next, I have already written.

With all this history, I approached the Tezov hotel guide Rafik. He immediately ran to the local authorities. He returned 10 minutes later with a stone face and said that if you intend to sue and make claims to the hotel, then the rest of the remaining days will be unbearable for us (the air conditioner just stopped working / I had a fight and turned it on /, there were interruptions with the TV and they began to do the cleaning not in the morning, but in the afternoon, when the wife was sleeping). If we are loyal to the hotel, then our rest will be like in paradise (only once they brought us a basket of fruits, which were already on every corner).

In short, I spent the remaining two days swearing and sorting things out with hotel employees. The doctor flatly refused to send us for a tomography (we did it after returning to Kyiv at our own expense, and they found a longitudinal fracture of the temporal bone in me) and even to give an extract. As one of the hotel staff told me (in confidence), the doctor is a relative of the owner of the hotel. Therefore, we still do not know what was in the dropper, and we do not have a document with which we could go to court. Well, the hotel didn’t come up with anything better than to say that we ourselves are to blame for everything - “I was drunk, and my wife let go of her hands from the circle and caught on the edge of the hill, which made us turn over. ” This despite the fact that I was sober as a glass, and those who went down in circles will confirm that even if you want to, it’s scary to tear your hands off the handles.

In a word, the hotel did not even apologize, I'm not talking about material compensation.
And the most interesting thing is that a woman from Russia crashed in the same way on the same hill a week before us. Only worse. She lost her memory, she was taken to the hospital and put 7 stitches on her cut head. I tried to find her or her contacts, but without success. Although the doctor had all this, no one told me anything. I found a woman who helped save this young lady, but she only remembered that she was with her daughter Katya, who was 18 years old.

This is such a sad story. And if the wife's skull bones were not thicker than the norm (it is clearly visible on the tomogram), then it is still not known how everything could have ended.

Just before my departure, I talked with the girls from the guest service, asked them to help me get an extract from the doctor. The answer is a blank wall. Then I told them that if they did not help me in this smallness, I would do my best so that not a single Russian-speaking tourist would come to their hotel anymore.
So if you have read up to these lines, please choose another hotel for your vacation, and pass this story on to your acquaintances and friends.

Three weeks have already passed when I write these lines, my head still aches, and my wife's bruise under her eye has not yet completely disappeared. But we only wanted to relax in a good hotel and ride the roller coaster ...

The only consolation is that Tatyana Butkevich, the director of ICI Tour, promised that Rafik would be fired. Have you been fired? Don't know. I haven't received a call yet.. .
