Just got back from Taor.
I did not expect such horror from the road. On the official website, a recommendation for the route is written - "it is better to choose the path along the route Truskavets - Borislav - Skhidnytsia - Taor Karpaty". In fact, this is the only road to Taor. We were driving on Yandex maps and did not control the construction of the route, Yandex paved the way through the Lower Stynava-Upper Stynava-Orov-Skhodnitsa - not even all jeeps will pass along this road, but we were on a minivan. We drove an hour along this route, only 12 km, ran into an impenetrable mountain on the slopes of which there are fragments of bumpers and fender liner - probably these drivers also wanted to drive to Taor. We turned around and crawled back to the highway for another hour. We made a circle through Stryi - Stebnik about 120 km. We got to Taora by 17 pm. All roads are broken by timber trucks, the local people are only engaged in the destruction of their forests.
From the hotel itself, the impressions are ambiguous: Outwardly, everything is beautiful, if you do not delve into it. It seems that everything is good and almost excellent, and you can even forget the dead road, but the staff scored on everything.

The state of Taor is very eloquently characterized by the phrase: "A good mine with a bad game. "
It seems that the owner is no longer interested in this business. Cleaning in the rooms for 2 points. The cobwebs are not cleaned everywhere, there is a thick layer of dust on the baseboards and chair rails, for example, after cleaning we found coins of past guests on the floor. It is not clean everywhere, and in the cottages (and we had to live in two - more on that later) and in the restaurant and even in the aqua zone. The staff is not friendly and it is felt, only a few say hello, half walk around with sour faces - a sad sight. It’s not that we don’t have enough attention, “hug whoever can, ” it’s just that everything is real around beeches.
The most memorable event of our stay in Taora happened the last day. We lived in the 11th house, two pairs of adults and a small child up to 2 years old. In the basement of the house there is a workshop of household workers Taora. Half the evening they worked there as a grinder, and in a wooden house it’s like working in the room itself with guests - there is no soundproofing in it. When we told the workers that we didn’t come here to listen to such concerts, they finished sawing, no apologies - there was nothing like that . Then the rooms began to stink of paint. We called the reception - we were offered to ventilate, left the windows open - and outside the window is the end of October - it's not hot at all. We went to a restaurant for dinner. But just in case, we went to the director of Taora and told what was happening in our house - he promised to settle everything.
They came from dinner - it was cold in the rooms, the stench became even stronger, they called the reception again - they already had to swear, they called the administrator into the house, she came with the maid in 15 minutes. They offered us UFO heaters. This did not suit us, then we were moved to another house, by the time it was already after 20. We quickly collected things to a minimum, the rest left and ran to a new house. They offered us house number 1. It is exactly the same as No. 11, but it is located in the very center - the view from the windows is unsuccessful, it will do for one night, but we would not want to live in it for the whole period. When we arrived at our first house in the morning, the stench of paint did not disappear there even with the windows open all night, since we already had to leave. We left without regrets. As an apology, we were given a bottle of Medovukha and a box of handmade chocolates, as well as a 20% discount for the last night of our stay. By the way, we really liked the mead. We consider the last day of stay in Taora completely destroyed, solely through the fault of the staff and compensation does not cover this.

Hotel pros:
- gorgeous nature, if there is no rain, then the water in the river is clear
- a great area, but without trees, beautiful and comfortable houses,
- good breakfast buffet, not great but good
- aqua zone with sauna included in the price
Perhaps this is all, no matter how sad it was.
In the pump room, the water is imported, which is already bad for medicinal water, besides, one or two types are always missing. We never had Morshynskaya, and sometimes Zheleznaya. No one knows what kind of water comes out of the tap in the house, but it stinks terribly, it is not clear whether it is drinkable.
The hotel has a huge problem with the staff, but it starts with the director, respectively, and everyone else does nothing, although this is not surprising for such a wilderness.
I was also struck by the speed with which ATVs roll out in the morning, they literally rush through the territory.
Trout - there are very few fish, you need to be able to catch, rent a fishing rod 50 UAH, 1 kg of fish 200 UAH, cook a catch in a restaurant 35 UAH per 1 fish.
Meals: I can’t say anything about lunch - we didn’t have lunch, the complex dinner is quite edible and you can get enough, according to my wife. I didn't go myself.
The second time we will not go to Taor. The price is very high
