First of all, it should be clearly understood that "Higina SPA" (HS) is not just a hotel offering a standard set of services (there are dozens of such in Truskavets). It is conceived as a place where you can arrive and not leave it until the day of departure, enjoying the services included in the price (Spa area, cinema, delivery of min. water 3 times a day, etc. ) : ) Therefore, you should not rate it as an ordinary 3* hotel, especially considering that XC is the only mid-range hotel in Truskavets with SPA services included in the price.
The main advantages of HS include:
• conceptual, well-thought-out design down to the smallest detail, which is generally rare for inexpensive hotels;
• well-trained and polite staff;

• convenient personal account system: during your stay you do not need to pay in cash for paid services (food, massages, cosmetology, etc. ) - you only sign checks and pay at any convenient time in the accounting department, and there is the possibility of paying by credit card;
• Really good Spa area available 12 hours a day (from 10 am to 10 pm). It includes: a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a Roman steam room, a Finnish sauna, an aroma room, a salt cave;
• the pool has a separate shallow area for children;
• daily cartoons (at 19.00) and movies (at 21.00) are shown in the cinema hall of the Hut. In the cinema hall there is an opportunity to both sit and lie down;
• in XC the delivery is min. water 3 times a day (no need to run to the pump room);
• has its own landscaped area, designed in the form of several verandas with tables, sofas, hammocks, etc. ;
• has its own parking;
• for newcomers, one of the staff conducts a tour of the territory of the Hut;
• there is a left-luggage office where you can leave things for free on the day of arrival or departure (for example, we arrived very early, the room was still occupied, and we were able to leave things there and walk around the city);
• actively used the services of local cosmetologists. What is nice - they do not impose services that you do not need. For example, I signed up for several procedures, but the beautician dissuaded me from one of them, convincing me that I did not need it. What a pleasant surprise : )
The main disadvantages of HS include:
• very uncomfortable shower in the room. Firstly, there are no cabins as such. There is a zone limited by a small curb and curtains - while taking a shower, water constantly gets outside the curb, which is why the entire restroom is flooded. The solution suggested by the XC staff was to put a towel on the floor. Because of this, the shower has a persistent smell of dampness. Secondly, the curb of the shower area has an acute angle, which, if you walk barefoot, periodically hurts your little finger;
• It is not possible to properly dry bathing suits. Which is very strange for a spa hotel (this also adds dampness);

• even considering that the hotel is 3 *, it is not respectable to provide broken hair dryers rewound with tape in the rooms. In addition, the hair dryer quickly overheated and turned off, and you had to wait until it cooled down;
• the lighting in the rooms is made in the form of strips of LED light bulbs, which is why the lighting in the rooms is very dim (it is very difficult to read in the evenings);
• excessively expensive (by Truskavets standards) restaurant. Considering that a lot of cheaper cafes and restaurants can be found within a 5-10-minute walk from the Hut, such a pricing policy looks strange and not profitable (according to our observations, many residents, like us, ate outside of XC). For comparison: a portion of dumplings in the Hut is 36 hryvnias, in a 10-minute walk, in a restaurant in the city center the exact same portion is 18 hryvnias;
• the prices for health-improving services are also somewhat overstated. For example, an oxygen cocktail in XC costs 15 hryvnias, while in a neighboring establishment it costs 5 hryvnias. Back massage 80 hryvnia, we did a 5-minute walk for 60 (without losing the quality of the massage itself);
• Wi-fi turned out to be paid (25 hryvnia for the entire stay, regardless of the number of days). The amount is small, but given that such a service is free in many hotels in Truskavets, they might not be dishonored : )
• for some reason, the rooms are full of insects (mosquitoes, midges, etc. , even a wasp once made its way through a gap in the mosquito net in the window);
• hotel staff, moving on some business in the pool area, periodically left the door to the street open, which, given the cold weather, was, to put it mildly, unpleasant.
Bottom line: despite the shortcomings, we generally liked it, perhaps we will come here again.
