Despite the fact that the Soviet past has left indelible marks on the appearance of the village ("Khrushchev", "mini-hotels" from garages), the leaders of the tourist complex not only focus on the best examples, but also create their own style, skillfully combine natural features and modern trends .
The hotel complex "Novy Svet" is certainly one of the leaders in the tourism industry not only in a tiny village, but, without exaggeration, in the entire Crimea. This is the tallest, largest building that meets you at the entrance to the New World, with the largest territory, its own park and beach - but I included it among the leaders not only by these features, but by the amount of effort and money that the owners invest into development.
A typical faceless "skyscraper" of Soviet architecture, due to a very successful exterior design, received a modern attractive look: glass railings of loggias, panoramic elevators, stylish facade materials. Inside, almost everything corresponds to the first external impression: friendly competent staff, a fairly large selection of rooms, all with good design.
The reservation is "practically" and a cautious assessment of the design is "good" - because the reconstruction of the hotel continues, the construction of the spa complex is completed, and the design is, well, just magnificent, so magnificent that it begins to seem: the hotel was built to satisfy the creative ambitions of the designer, and not for guests , it's like a festival movie - the awards are endless, but it's impossible to watch, so let the design be for me, for the main person, for the guest - convenient, unobtrusive, intuitive, friendly - that is, the same as in the "New World". Furniture and plumbing - everything is new and comfortable, bathrobes, slippers, shampoos, hair dryer, tea, coffee, kettle, refrigerator, TV - a standard set of a good hotel.
So, we settled into the room, go for a walk.
We also have a good choice in this: you can go down (3-5 minutes) to the sea, to the beach, or walk along the embankment, and here at Novy Svet - a village, not a hotel - a certain advantage over many other Crimean coastal villages, you go exactly along embankment, admiring the sea and mountains, and not along a narrow passage between stalls and eateries; from the embankment you can go on a boat trip on a boat, you can walk to nature, there are several directions with stunning views: the Golitsyn Trail, or through a juniper grove to Cape Kapchik, or further away, climb Mount Karaul-Oba, there are routes a little more difficult, but all areas of special physical training do not require, only caution and suitable shoes.
Behind restaurants and other party establishments, nightclubs - this is better in Yalta.
In the New World, if you wish, you can find where to “light it up”, but it’s still a place for silence, peace, meditation, relaxation, admiring nature, which is almost at arm’s length here - you can walk the whole village in 15 minutes, well, well, if from the sea up and with respite - then for 20)).
Nature is even closer in the Novy Svet hotel. As I already noted, there is a park here, and even a mountain gorge, the slopes of which are covered with Crimean pine and relic juniper. You can place yourself so that the juniper branch looks right out the window: this year a chalet complex was opened here.
On a rather steep slope of the gorge, stylish houses on stilts, reliable steel stilts, seem to float in the air among undisturbed pines and junipers, despite the apparent weightlessness of the structure, and an air bridge laid among the branches leads to them, along which even just walking is already an attraction, and it was worth thinking that a rope park was asking right here, like - wow! - after the next turn of the bridges, it has already been built. This I mean that it is possible and necessary to stay here with children - there is also a playroom and other infrastructure necessary for this.
I’ll add about the infrastructure: a spa complex with a mud bath has been built, but finishing work is still underway, but there is already a medical, rehabilitation and cosmetic complex, where you just can’t count all kinds of procedures, and their names are something cosmic!
The cuisine in the "New World" is excellent, the buffet is quite varied, there is something for vegetarians and those who are on a diet, the restaurant, of course, has been reconstructed - and very successfully! - from the former Soviet canteen, which was not about comfort, but about quickly feeding Soviet workers who deserved a ticket, but thanks to Soviet architects who designed an open terrace surrounding the restaurant: a table overlooking the bay and mountains provides exactly that level of romance and poetry, which you want so much in Paradise!
This year, alas, several sightseeing objects were closed for reconstruction: the tasting room at the Novy Svet champagne factory, the house-museum of the founder of this factory (and in general of all Russian winemaking) Prince Lev Golitsyn.
This, of course, is not a shortcoming of the Novy Svet hotel, on the contrary, the hotel skillfully compensated for this: they provided a proven sensible guide for hiking in the mountains, to the source of St. Anastasia, and you can choose many more excursions and tours - yes, all kinds of barkers, but the hotel offers only trusted partners.

This is my fourth time coming to this hotel. This time for work. I feel incredibly comfortable here! The complex, in fact, is located in the reserve - around hundreds of protected junipers. On the night of June 17, the son flew in, threw a backpack into our room, went down the territory to the embankment and went to spend the night with friends - in 1991-2002. we rested with children in the New World almost every summer, many of our acquaintances.
On the morning of June 18, we went to the reception to check out our son's stay for three days, everything is fine until it comes to payment - the son must pay for the full board, because. he checks into a room where people (my wife and I) are on full board. We are perplexed - what does the number have to do with it, is there really no other way to register a person for 3 days? It's not about money, it's just that my son really didn't need food at all - he came in a couple of days to run around the bays, rocks, mountains, and travel around the neighborhood with local friends. When asked to somehow accommodate without meals or only with breakfast, they categorically stated: “No! It's impossible! You don’t understand, we have instructions, we have a program, and in general everything is complicated! Not the slightest desire to at least TRY to resolve the issue.
We asked to speak with someone from the management on this elementary issue - in 2019, the director solved a similar situation with the payment of food for us in a minute. In response, we were told that the management is now not communicating with vacationers, write a statement, director or deputy. it will be considered if there is time. The director is sitting in the service area, two guards stand to protect the doors, they don’t listen to any requests, they repeat: everyone is busy, then there is no one, no one will talk to you, you were told at the reception that nothing is allowed, etc. In general, the conversation went on raised tones, then one of the guards, supposedly deputy. for security, said: sit, wait, maybe someone will come out. We sit in the lobby and wait. After 15 minutes, he comes out and declares: You violated the rules, brought an outsider into the territory, we are generally evicting you! They called the security company NEVA, two men in bulletproof vests with weapons began to press us, that we were interfering with the work of the administration, we were violating order. Then they called the police, and without us they threw our things out of the room.
The most outrageous thing is that the representatives of the administration announced the eviction due to allegedly SYSTEMATIC violations of the Rules of residence by us. At the same time, NO documents, despite our numerous requests, were presented - under a variety of pretexts, they did not show us and did not provide any confirmation of our alleged violation (they took our son through the territory, and this is so serious that it is necessary to directly evict people ??? ) , no decision to evict, no act of opening the room and collecting things. At the same time, they constantly demanded that we sign a receipt for the safety of our belongings. All the time the representatives of the administration were without masks. In the end, we called a police officer from Sudak, in whose presence we announced the illegal actions of the administration, and a protocol was drawn up. At the same time, representatives of the administration refused to give explanations.
Both people from neighboring rooms and those present at the reception repeatedly addressed the hotel staff: well, how do you behave with older people, it’s also impossible, it’s the simplest thing. In response, the "tape recorder" turned on: They broke the rules, we are evicting them! They are violators, we evict them.
We were treated with full understanding by the tour operator "Alean-Tourne", from whom we bought vouchers, they listened carefully to us on the phone, immediately called the hotel management. Later it turned out that the leadership of the Novy Svet Civil Code frankly lied and presented the situation as if we were rowdy brawlers, systematically violating order. Already in Moscow, they explained in detail to the management of the tour operator what was happening and how. For a long time they could not believe that such a situation was even possible - the son arrived, they OFFICIALLY formalize the residence, but he passed through the territory, and they were evicted for this, even if an acute situation arose. The tour operator reviewed our situation and issued a refund for the unused days - many thanks to them for their help and understanding!

I liked the variety of drinks: teas with local herbs, hibiscus, juices, compotes and coffee (!!!! ). Special thanks for a few coffee machines. I can't live without it and drank 2 cups at a time - at the beginning and at the end of the meal.
I stayed in a superior room on the second floor. Everything is fine, everything that should have been available: hygiene items, bathrobes, slippers. Cleaning was done regularly, towels changed too. In the room there is an electric kettle, cups, plates, forks, spoons, coffee bags, green and black tea, sugar.
On the territory there is a health center, you can get sanatorium treatment. There is a gym, well equipped and with the presence of an instructor (buff macho).
For vacationers with children, a pleasant bonus is a playground, a games room. In the summer, animators work, both for children and adults.
The territory of the hotel complex itself deserves special attention. Flowers all around, splendor of roses, nooks in the shade where you can sit on the benches. There is an area with sun loungers. True, sometimes it happens that they are all busy, but it does not matter.
I liked that the territory is fenced, strangers do not go and each vacationer has his own magnetic key, which opens the door in the room and all the gates.
The sea is close, you just have to go down the stairs, open the gate - and here it is, splashing at your feet. The beach is clean, convenient, comfortable.
The only negative that I would note is one elevator that cannot cope with the flow of tourists. He has to wait a long time.

The building of the boarding house is gradually being renovated, they promise that the pool will open soon. In the off-season, it was not enough, because the sea is still cold. But you can endlessly wander along the mountain trails and the juniper grove, the Galitsyn trail, which is 10 minutes from the hotel. For convenience, I took Nordic walking sticks at the reception - they helped out a lot. In general, I recommend the hotel for families - for children there is a children's room with animators working in the season, for adults - a gym, table tennis and billiards. The staff is responsive to any requests, we had no problems. I don’t like to relax in large resort towns at all, but here there is a small village, clear sea, sunbeds on the beach and sun loungers, many shops with Crimean cosmetics and souvenirs in the season - in summer, I think it’s just a paradise here. No wonder the old name of the village is Paradise, which means "paradise"
