City Center Inn & Suites (24.7th Street, San Francisco, USA - formerly Ramada Limited Downtown). Half an hour drive from the airport ($ 40 if by taxi). There are bus stops near the hotel to reach the airport or the ocean in the Golden Gate area.
Of the obvious advantages, Pickwick has only the location - the center, nearby bus parking (including those going to the airport), a good stock store, and various cafes. Well, smiling employees at the reception.
The hotel is almost at the very top, and walking from it on excursions is a bit of a problem. We assumed a great view from the upper floors, but in fact we see the nearest street and Hotell Huntington opposite.
The location of the hotel is very good - near the most touristic area of San Francisco - pier number 39, seals on pontoons, boat trips, an aquarium, the terminus of old trams, the world famous Alcatraz prison.
