Hello, I would like to leave an impression for those who are going to go to Cyprus, to Paphos, to the Roman Hotel. By the way, there are two hotels there: Roman Boutique and Roman 2, we lived in the Boutique, I think it's more important. We returned 4 days ago, well, what can I say, those who think that they will sunbathe and swim on the beach are mistaken, this is a city hotel, for a 3 star it's great, but don't forget it's not 4 and even more so 5 stars (! ! ! ) We went to Coral Bay to swim and sunbathe, it’s 20 minutes by bus 610 or 615, since the buses run fast and they have strong air conditioning, and in general when we were driving, we didn’t notice the time. On the beach itself, which is urban, and EVERYONE can rest on it, but if you get straight to the final stop there it will be more numerous and family, and there are hotels and you can take a shower for free, and cheaper, there we took 2 sun loungers and an umbrella for 6 euros, and the first time we went, we went to a stop earlier there is also a beach, there for 7.5 euros, but the beach area is smaller, and there are more young people, but there is a paid shower and no changing rooms, and the sea, which is clean there and there, there are sand and stones, there are catamarans and a parachute and tablets and cafes. As for the excursions that the guide (Elena) offered us, they were too expensive, for example, to visit in one day: the bay of Aphrodite, the font of Aphrodite and the temple of Aphrodite and + lunch, then 85 euros per person, and we went with our loved ones, there that it was all unprofitable for us, and in some places we wanted to stay the whole day, but this is not supposed to be on excursions, so we went for the whole day for 2 euros on a regular bus (!!! ) bought a map, there are no problems with English, although it is not needed there, because THERE EVERYONE SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND RUSSIAN!! ! We also drove to the bay of Aphrodite ourselves (the water is colder there and the beach is rocky) and swam and sunbathed there all day, drove to the final one, at first we thought where we were going , and then we saw this bay, we rode the bus 631. In the hotel, too, everyone speaks Russian, even among themselves, we were helped by George, who in the 80s was also with us in Nizhny at the car factory gave 2 cafes and even 20% discounts to go ; -) the rooms are good, very powerful the air conditioner works, there is a refrigerator not big, a very good hair dryer, but there is only one trouble with sockets, and that is non-Russian, you just need to take an adapter at the reception for 5 euros and when you leave it will be returned to you! We didn't take an iron, but it would have been extra. Breakfast is ordinary, did not change every day, but it's good that watermelons and melons were given every day, but that's all, there were no other fruits. Dinner was similar to Russian, but it would be better if they made it Greek, I wanted to try their local cuisine, drinks are all paid for dinner, I had to go to a cafe, since the whole hotel is in Greek style, then I would have at least made Greek food once a week , from Greek there was only salad, but how they cook Olivier or borscht is funny, they always ask: How is the food? Well, once we answered borscht honestly, then they didn’t cook it at all, and we were afraid to answer the truth, but they keep asking and asking. They made a cake for dinner, but... from our ready-made cakes))) there was a barbecue, but back we make it better. Dinner itself takes place outside by the pool. The pool is not as big as it looks in the picture. We drove to the font of Aphrodite ourselves, first we got to their bus station (bass station), and then we got on the bus, but you need to know the bus schedule (! ) Ask them at the reception, they will generally tell you better where to go than a guide, she herself is fine he doesn’t know, he doesn’t even know how to sell tourists excursions or doesn’t want to, so we traveled on our own. By the way, there is LEFT-HAND traffic in Cyprus, be careful. And it’s better to buy souvenirs not on the embankment, it’s more expensive there, but in their market it’s the same, but many times cheaper, take the 611 bus to the final one and you will see it there. On the embankment (from the hotel to the embankment we walked every day, it’s not far there) sea vouchers are sold, you can safely buy them and cheaper. On the embankment and Ford and the Mosaic Museum, you can go there yourself, without excursions). We traveled together with our beloved and we had 1 suitcase, transportation to Cyprus was 20 kg - if you are traveling alone with 1 suitcase, and if there are two of you and you have one suitcase, then it should not be 40, but 32 kg (!!! ) pay attention to this, you will pay 10 euros for an extra kg, on the way back our suitcase weighed. . 31.800(!!! ) you guessed right, but on our flight there were women and they had an advantage... as much as 23 kg !! ! And they had to pay, because both they and we were the last to register, and it was not even possible to give someone something. But then we bought something in duty free, which added another 10 kilograms))) always leave money for this “paradise”))) Of course, try fish meze from food, in general, this is a fish platter, there is also meat meze, very large portions, we took for two and they gave us the leftovers with us! I liked the cold frappe coffee, although I don't drink coffee at all! We also liked the grilled corn on the embankment, we want to try it at home as well. The room was cleaned every day, which is excellent, but in general Cyprus is an amateur, if they went and looked about us, but I wouldn’t go a second time. Maybe if we lived in 5 *, then the impression would be better, but you won’t change the city of Paphos and your beloved too in general, Paphos itself is more suitable for families, and if you are young or single and want courage, then you better go to the city of Ai Napa, and in Paphos, all the sights are simply closer: Aphrodite’s Bay, Aphrodite’s temple, her font, the archaeological museum, Solomon’s tombs, a water park, go-karts, waters or Dionysus’s fonts, but we didn’t get to them ourselves, from Coral Bay we had to walk as much as 3 hours but in general everyone takes cars and drives there. And it’s better to buy a ticket for a regular regular bus (such a blue one) for the whole day, and tell the driver that for 2 euros per person, but then you can ride on any routes all day, otherwise you have to buy for 1 euro for each trip. At first we bought for 1 euro, and then it dawned on us. There is no animation in the hotel, there is a gym, internet, well, I would advise you to go across the road to a cafe and there is wi-fi, the internet is expensive in the hotel. There is a balcony. If you are interested, I can personally write and be more specific about prices or a hotel
