Hello!
We rested at the Grand Plaza Resort 4 from 10.03 to 17.03. 2010. The choice of the hotel was approached with such care that in the end it was already sickening from the number of reviews read : ) But in the end we settled on this hotel for several reasons: 1. Beautiful, large territory, 2. Not far from the sea, 3. Good reviews. And they weren't wrong.
Not without small minuses, but the hotel is really good. So, in order.
1. Territory. Very cozy, compact (which does not mean small), green enough, and most importantly well-groomed! We watched how the local staff cleaned, washed, cleaned the entire territory for days and nights, and it seemed that they would never finish : ) It was nice that they take care of us even when we sleep. There are a lot of places on the territory of the hotel where you can take very beautiful photos without even trying to choose the best angle - the area is beautiful from all angles.

By the way, this hotel is located on the second line, you can go to the sea through the territory of the first hotel - very picturesque, all in well-groomed plants. The road to the sea lasts at most 7 minutes, walking through such beauty is a real pleasure!
2. Number. Contrary to all our expectations, they did not give A SINGLE dollar for a good room! It was enough to smile pleasantly, ask for a good room, and the receptionist Ayman handed over a card from the room, which we were pleased with: two single beds, a small sofa with a bunch of pillows, a table (mind you, with a kettle, coffee, tea, sugar - and all this free! ), two armchairs, chest of drawers, wardrobe, huge mirror, TV, refrigerator. In general, everything you need! In addition, the room has a bathroom and toilet (of course) and a huge balcony with chairs on it. The room is painted in green-orange tones (see on my photos), which is pleasantly pleasing to the eye))
3. Nutrition. Fed for slaughter, as for me)) There are a lot of dishes to choose from, choose what you want!
A lot of sweets (I write for lovers : )), salads and vegetables. I probably overate varieties of cabbage until my next trip: ) The only negative (as for me) is very little fruit, oranges and bananas were constantly present for the entire period, once they gave a melon, two dates and a grapefruit a couple of times. But this is such a trifle. I also wanted to say about booze and drinks: soft drinks can be taken in the dining room, after 11 am also in the bars in the hotel lobby, and pools, as well as alcoholic drinks. After three o'clock in the afternoon in the dining room they give ice cream, very tasty!
4. Staff. Going on a trip to an Arab country, they prepared for the fact that there would be no end to their men. The opinion that our tourists have about the Arabs is nonsense. We have clarified one truth: as you treat the Arabs, so they will treat you! We were always polite: we smiled at the staff, thanked them, communicated normally and received the same attitude in return.

We were always asked how things were and if everything was in order. In the room, the cleaner was left $ 1 every other day, in those days, when they left him, he twisted figures from towels for us, when they didn’t leave, he simply cleaned the room. The guys at the reception are very nice, always joking, smiling and ready to help. A little rude bartenders, but we didn't care about them, the main thing is that they poured cocktails.
5. Sea. The sea is beautiful, the bottom is cleared of all possible prickles. Feel free to come in and swim. The entry into the sea is smooth: it is convenient for both children and adults. There is a spit at the end of the bay, you can walk on it with a mask, look at the corals, though dead ((In addition, if you stand with your back to the hotel on your right hand there is a spit, go along it to the end, where there are no sunbeds anymore. Turning to the right you will see small corals (live), among them you can swim, see the fish.
There are practically no people there, only instructors from the aqua center of our hotel can teach beginners to swim with a mask and fins. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and easy to learn how to swim with a mask and fins.
6. Guide at the hotel. The name of the guide from Coral (the operator from whom we traveled) is Islam. Good representative of the operator, tells everything about the excursions. We talked a lot with him about their customs, culture, told everything, even what the tourist probably shouldn’t have said)) In addition, he helped us with one excursion, which we really wanted to go on despite the fact that he could be fined for this (I’ll tell in the tour section). In general, of course, compared to other operators (especially Russian ones, such as S7), prices are slightly higher for excursions. For comparison, a trip to Cairo cost us $75. e. , from S7 it costs - 70 without a discount.
But in general, the organization at Koral is good, all excursions are right on time, the bus arrives on time, the guide also orders dry rations for excursions, so you have practically nothing to worry about, except for paying for the excursion))

7. Excursions. I think that such excursions as a trip to Cairo and Luxor should be taken from your operator (so not dumb), all the rest - from salespeople in the hotel. We met one of them, his name is Kimo, a very good person (really), during the day he works in the hotel's aqua center, in the evening (from 17.00) he sells sea excursions at the hotel. I advise everyone to take sea excursions from him (such as a trip to Paradise Island, Bathyscaphe, etc. ). First, they have at least 10 at. That is, cheaper than the operator, and secondly, they have an incendiary team and cool animation. And thirdly, all excursions from them depart from the territory of the hotel, and not from the port, as with operators. i. e.
you do not need to go anywhere before the sea excursion, just come to the beach and swim. Be sure to go to the show 1001 nights. As I promised to tell above, it turns out that Coral does not have such an excursion, and we really wanted to get on it. Our guide, Islam, helped us with it despite the fact that he could be fined. He asked the Tez-tour operator to take us to the show with their group, and we were happy viewers of the show!
In general, we took 4 excursions: Cairo, Luxor, Paradise Island and 1001 nights. I will say that 7 days for such a rich program is very short, so if possible, take at least 10 days!
8. Animation. It is not in our hotel at all! All the animation in the hotel is on the first line: during the day it is belly dancing for women and darts for men. In the evening - various shows from animators and dancers on the second floor of the hotel in a special room, before the show there was some kind of program for children with contests and competitions.
After the show, the animators take everyone to the disco for 18 USD. e.
9. City of Hurghada. We went to the city 2 times, all the time during the day (we were afraid in the evenings, since we are two fair-haired girls, also without guys) Actually, in vain! You can get to the city for 2 dollars or 10 of their pounds, don't give more, this is more than enough for a 7 minute journey. In the city, go to the Sakkala area, Sheraton Street: there are many shops with souvenirs and the famous Egyptian cotton (! ) Karkush shop. I definitely recommend visiting it. All taxi drivers know him, so you can say that when you sit in a taxi: we are to Karkusha. Another landmark in the city center is the Sea Gull Hotel. Starting from this hotel there are a lot of shops with souvenirs. I advise you to buy fruits in the city - very cheap and tasty. If you are too lazy to go to the city, then near the hotel there is a shaft of shops, souvenirs are even cheaper than in the city!

In general, I am satisfied with the hotel, despite a few shortcomings, so feel free to take a ticket to this hotel, throw your things in your suitcase and go to Egypt!
I hope my story will help many, thanks for your attention!
