I was in both Cairo and Luxor. Little remains of ancient Egypt. Expectation that everything will be like in the movie The Mummy, golden doors, sarcophagi, huge statues and dungeons.

A very good hotel one kilometer from the Luxor (Corniche) embankment and the ferry pier plying between the banks of the Nile. Good breakfasts, including natural delicious coffee and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

Good hotel

The rooms are small, with a balcony and a beautiful view of the Nile in every room. Guests mostly stay for 1-2 days while cruising the Nile. There is a swimming pool. I did not meet Russian speakers at the hotel.

About our glorious adventures on excursions from a street agency

Several times in Turkey I bought excursions exclusively from street agencies, and everything was at the highest level. The previous time in Egypt we bought excursions from a guide, and it was quite expensive, but we had to, as the hotel was on the outskirts and there were simply no street agencies.
