I'll start by saying that this was my second trip to Egypt (the last time I was vacationing in Hurghada). I traveled with my sister and when choosing a hotel, we primarily focused, in addition to price, on the location of the hotel and the contingent of vacationers. In general, initially we chose between Turkey (Marmaris) and Egypt (Sharm), because. have not been to Turkey yet, and Marmaris is considered the most party city in the country, and in Egypt they have not yet seen the pyramids and just like to go to Sharm el-Sheikh, a more civilized and party city. unfortunately, we did not have time to go to Turkey, all flights were closed for suitable dates. But in Egypt, there was a wonderful offer for the Gafy Resort hotel. And this hotel did not deceive our expectations!
The hotel area is not particularly large, but quite cozy and beautiful. True, some work is being carried out there near one of the pools, but this does not spoil the view at all and does not cause any inconvenience, because. work is carried out at night. There are only 5 pools. There are large and small ones, around each there are sunbeds and towels.
The rooms are the most ordinary: there are buildings and bungalows, but they are the same. By the way, we were surprised to find a hair dryer in the room! although it was stated in the description of the hotel, we thought that, as usual, it would not be there. in fact - was! cleaned every day, towels changed - also, by the way, we did not pay money. bed pain was changed probably 1 time in 2-3 days, but for those who sleep in the hotel for 3 hours, this is somehow not important.

The staff is quite polite and unobtrusive, which is very unusual for Arab countries. except that the sellers of excursions and massages on the beach sometimes bothered us with their desire to "talk", but we did not hear this from other staff. there is one manager at the reception - Ali. If you need something, don't even ask him for it! it still doesn't do anything and doesn't help. such a cunning one, you have to run after him for several days! the hotel has a guest relations manager - Sveta, she is Russian, and you can always contact her. although we had a problem with the safe, it categorically did not work, so we had to go to the reception for 3 days and call the masters.
The food is delicious, always in a large selection, but monotonous. on the first day you want to try everything, and by the end of the week you take only what you like. for men - there is LITTLE meat! there is fish, and also incomprehensible dry and absolutely tasteless meat, sometimes also chicken. but the choice of sweets and desserts is excellent, they definitely have no problems with this. desserts - it was my joy! breakfasts are always the same, and the same ordinary as in any other hotels. Once we had a special Egyptian style dinner, there were many of their national dishes. really pleased : )
The beach is large enough, but in addition to Gafi tourists, 2 other hotels use it. but despite this, there was always enough space for everyone, there were always sunbeds and towels. the entrance to the sea is sandy, and to the left of our beach there are pantones, through which you can immediately get to the corals. there are a lot of them along the entire coast of Sharm, so for those who like to watch fish, this is the very thing! we also bought masks with snorkels and special slippers in the shop opposite, and every day we did swims on different corals, and not only in our hotel. There are good corals at the Marriott and Novotel, which are a 5-minute walk from Gafi.
The animation was top notch. what do our girls work there, to whom you can turn for advice, they will tell you where it is better to go for souvenirs and food, etc.
The contingent of vacationers surprised us. instead of permanent Germans, there were only Italians, and they felt at home, there were a lot of them and they were noisy, even noisier than the Russians, who could not be heard at all, although there were also enough of them! there were also Poles, but the Italians were mostly everywhere, and not only in our hotel. During my entire stay in Sharm, I only heard German speech once! There were no French at all! only Italians and Russians!

the location of the hotel is very good, 15 minutes walk to Naama Bay along the promenade. further after Gafi towards the center there are already only 5-star hotels such as Mariot, Novotel and Hilton or four on the second line far from the beach.
Naama Bey made me very happy: life is in full swing all night long! but we arrived in Ramadan, so the clubs were closed until 4 am, and then you could just sit somewhere in hookahs and small open-air cafes. although they also rolled up until 5 am (all this Ramadan)! It was possible to go to discos for free if you wished, but this is only if the guards at the entrance expressed the same desire to let you through. basically the entrance price is 20-35 dollars. Animators at the hotel often offered a slightly reduced price + all inclusive, so there is such an option to save a little. but the difference in this case is insignificant, because at the entrance you can negotiate and bargain with managers of nightclubs. Pasha is considered the coolest club in the course, but there are a lot of Arabs there! foam parties are held there from time to time, there is enough space there, the club is very big! there is also Hard Rock Cafe and Little Buddah, also decent establishments, but the audience there is more European.
I also advise you to go to the old city for souvenirs - the Old Market, there are many more shops there than in Naama. it's just a huge cluster of different shops selling everything that is in demand among tourists. especially since you can buy fruits and other products, hookahs, clothes cheaper there. The main thing is to bargain everywhere and always, except, of course, when the price is fixed. but our tourists managed to reduce it!
In general, a successful stay in Sharm and in particular in Gafi! The hotel is fully consistent with its 4 stars, and even more so if you do not focus on the constant comfort and convenience in the room, on the beach, etc. , but simply enjoy a wonderful holiday on the Red Sea, then your vacation will be wonderful : ))
