The Hilton Sharks Bay Resort 4 * hotel is conveniently located near the airport and 700 meters from the place of "folk evening festivities" SOHO.
The hotel has two branches on the "first" and "second" lines from the sea. Vacationers from Ukraine are accommodated "as a rule" on the "first" line. The second line is populated by Arabs. The hotel guests were 98% Arabs. There were very few Ukrainians in the hotel (no more than 12 people), two Belarusians, two Japanese and two Germans.

The decision about the trip to Egypt was made the day before departure))) The hotel was advised by a friend from the travel agency. All the same Hilton edrit-Madrit! ))).
We arrived almost at night (the rest day was gone). The hotel reception struck me with its wretchedness.
No, well, really ..."killed" furniture, gloomy walls (sheathed with wood, as it was fashionable probably a hundred years ago), garbage on tables and under tables ...Thoughts aloud: "tryndets, we arrived ... "))). We have never (as it happened) seen such a dull reception in hotels. Well, nothing, we can’t live at the hotel reception)))
In addition to us (there were three of us - me, my wife and an adult daughter), five more people from Ukraine got off the bus.
As the Anex-tour guide said: “Except for tourists from Ukraine and Belarus, no one else flies to Egypt on vacation - they are afraid (pleased, edrit-Madrit) ... ”.
They settled us quickly and without extra surcharges (they didn’t even hint).
It should be noted that the attitude of the staff at the reception was very friendly ...(already positive, we thought ... ))) Polite, but for some reason with sad eyes, Mohammed handed us an envelope with bracelets, cards from the room and for beach towels and ...we settled! ! !

We got a large hotel room, with one tiny window and a view of the small pool. The room is located near the reception and the restaurant… (that was a plus))) but far from the beach. (this is a minus). In general, the room is good. Of the minuses - old furniture (this has already been written about). On the plus side: a great bathroom (probably recently renovated), a huge shower (nothing leaked and everything worked fine), all kinds of shampoos and shower gels available (we really brought our own), a cool washbasin built into the countertop, and a perfectly working toilet ))). I write as it is ...I have seen everything in more expensive hotels))).
The room had a large double bed and a sofa (the sofa really was constantly falling apart, the old woman took her age))), a TV set with a large LED screen (3 Ukrainian channels and 2 Russian), a kettle with tea and coffee set, a small refrigerator (with a bottle of water 1.5 liters) and an iron (not working, as it turned out on the last day of rest). There were already two built-in air conditioners in the room ...Yes ...noisy, but they work fine! The cleanliness of the room as in the "Inspector" program was not checked, but in general, the room was clean. For the number - OFF.

Cleaned (tried to clean) every day. In any case, when the cleaner came in our absence before lunch, the room was cleaned and quite efficiently (there were swans and slopes from towels on the bed), if the cleaner came after dinner, we didn’t let him in, only changed towels and gave away garbage))) For cleaning the rooms as a whole COUNT!
Food and restaurant
The taste and color, as they say ...But I liked almost everything ... ))) None of us remained hungry ...There was meat: beef, lamb, grilled chicken, fried ducks, salads (in assortment)))), desserts (monotonous, but were), soups (usually two types), fruits (dates, apples, oranges, melons (not tasty), watermelons (not tasty), figs), cereals of at least a spirit of species), noodles with sauces, grilled vegetables (yummy ), fish (so-so), different buns, juices (such as yuppies), cola, red and white wine… We should especially note the work of the waiters… really very friendly…. A smiling girl at the entrance to the restaurant always wished a good evening (even during the day))).

Beach
We came to Egypt for the sake of the sea and fish, so the beach was very important to us. The hotel has its own beach, on the first line. Sunbeds are on three levels (near the sea and two levels above). The beds are old and worn out. Umbrellas available.
Mattresses (creepy in appearance) on sun loungers only on the upper levels. Beach towels (normal condition) can be changed as many times a day as you like. There were no problems with this. The beach itself is small (but there is enough space for everyone), the entrance to the sea is from a small pontoon, the reef is available and not bad (with a set of different fish and fish). There are showers on the beach. Beach lifeguards really work and watch the vacationers. The beach has a standard set of entertainment: riding a "banana", on a boat, on a "bun", diving, parasailing.
In principle, everything is fine, but there is a big “BUT”. The beach is dirty, they clean the beach in the morning, but this is not cleaning, this is an imitation of cleaning. Cigarette butts (natives smoke on the beach), empty water bottles, ice cream wrappers, even dirty diapers, etc. Not our compatriots litter ...but eastern guys and girls. This process has been observed many times.
There is even garbage under the water...at the bottom near the pantone...It was also unpleasant that somehow someone "stole" two beach towels from our sun loungers (the local guys have such a business))). We went to the bar to drink beer for hours at 11.00…. , the beach staff (no one else) saw this and ...did their "dirty" deed))). We have such a joke for the first time, you understand relaxed ... ))) Therefore, advice: carry beach towels with you! ))) Then everything was “resolved”, but the “sediment” remained ... ))).
Fish, awesome sea, hot sun, of course, negate many of the disadvantages, but the hotel staff must fight the garbage on the beach! I will add that there is no animation on the beach at all.

Oriental men smoke and throw bulls on the floor, they throw plastic cups and bottles anywhere. About the presence of garbage cans, none of the majority of local vacationers probably knows or does not want to know. It's stressful. Judging by the reviews, not only our family. But on the other hand ...the sea, fish, palm trees and the sun! ! ! Sunbathed, dived, rested! ! ! We took a taxi to the old city (it was a little annoying), bought gifts and even a large hookah (now it is a piece of furniture on the balcony). There would not be so much garbage in the hotel ...edrit-Madrit as the heroine of the TV series "Interns" says)))
