Considering that this was our first outing on vacation outside the country, my (then) boyfriend and I were very worried that everything would work out in the best way, so the amount of information studied and its diversity amazed even the agencies that learned a lot from us about hotels ))) It was decided in advance that we were considering only five-star hotels, in order to avoid all sorts of troubles, but somehow the quality of these "5 stars" was not impressive even according to reviews, but neither was the price... We stumbled upon the Hilton Sharks Bay quite by accident, and the price pleased and reviews about the hotel was only good, but the "4" stars were alarming... and there was no time to think for a long time, the ticket was "burning"... as a result, on the advice of a friend who assured me that the Hilton is a very decent hotel chain, they still risked going, drawing in advance imagine the darkest pictures of our stay there, stocking up on water (yes, yes, there were also such reviews where they said that in some hotels they give water from a dirty barrel for bottling into dirty glasses ; -) ), alcohol (they were going to give bribes ; -), the maximum composition of the first-aid kit and the telephone numbers of the Ukrainian embassy in Egypt and the tourist police (well, this is completely in extreme cases). In general, the mood was the most tense to eat)))...
The flight only added to our worries, since half of the flight was loading from a transfer (Russia, Belarus) and this half was already in a state of hangover))) in the Kiev duty free they "refueled" and then we flew with songs, dances and subsequent running around cabin and a fight (I'm not kidding, all this took place), so our flight ended romantically with the fact that the police met the flight in Sharm)) There we were sorted into buses and we waited another hour while the drunken passengers who were going to our hotel were scammed at customs ))) as a result, we were loaded with two more "bodies" who, barely moving their tongues, called the guides "black... mi" (and why would a normal attitude towards the Slavs come from after that?! ) and passed out... Here we are in such a mood a minute later we arrived at our hotel, not expecting anything good from life anymore...
The first thing we saw when we entered the hall were two smiling waiters, one offered us a cold hibiscus, the other offered wet towels (the heat was just hellish), while we were pleasantly shocked, our documents were already drawn up at the reception, they told us what they had where they were and generally surprised attention and kindness. Within 10-15 minutes, our entire group had already been settled and even half-dead swearing "bodies" were loaded onto a car and taken to the room))) I would like to say separately that it was already at 11 pm and at that time we were still someone cared enough to treat us to hibiscus !!!! ! And this is in the "4" stars!

As it turned out, the room was in the main building with a side view of the sea and the neighboring hotel, for some reason we got a room for the newlyweds (and I kept wondering why they congratulated us at the reception ; -)) with a small cake, a bottle of wine and other pleasant little things . We can say about the condition of the room - not noticeably new, but clean and nice. The bed is double, a large mirrored wardrobe in which a personal safe was found (hooray! ), a TV, a refrigerator with a couple of sprites and water, a kettle with supplies of tea, coffee, etc. , soap stocks were in due quantity and replenished regularly, shower and the toilet worked properly, the doors didn’t jam and in general there weren’t any horror stories about which we had read in the reviews... Finally, after relaxing, we sat on the balcony and drank the donated bottle with a cake and went at night looking to inspect the hotel grounds. I really liked the architecture and the organization of the territory in general, the hotel itself is small, but how intricately everything is arranged and, most importantly, it is very comfortable and somehow at home, everything is clean green, a sea of ​ ​ flowers, some picturesque nooks and crannies with pools, gazebos or just flower beds. The beach was considered in detail the next day and it did not disappoint us, we liked the fact that there is a beach for every taste! If you want sand, go down to the very water in the middle, if you want pebbles, it’s to the right and the whole beach is in small terraces and it’s just great, there is no feeling that you are lying on a public beach! It feels like here is your personal beach and only you and your friends relax here! We usually occupied a small terrace on the right above the water itself, a great place, and close to the sea and close to the bar and few people, the sun stays there longer.
I don’t think it’s worth talking about the sea - it’s magic about which infinitely much has already been written, I can only say that the corals in Sharks Bay are one of the most beautiful and the living creatures too, we were amazed to the core and the subsequent trip with a dive to Ras Muhamed simply disappointed us , we did not even see all the variety that was found near the pontoon...
At first, the food puzzled us with its variety, you can eat somewhere all day long, but over time we chose a grill bar for ourselves, where they cooked amazingly and sometimes something Italian in the basement of the restaurant. Already closer to departure, a new restaurant opened on the second line, almost everything was delicious there and the assortment was much larger than in the main restaurant, so both round and beautiful returned home)))
The bar is represented by many "alcoholic" drinks of local production, which the language does not turn to be called alcoholic, because the alcohol content in them is minimal. But on their basis they made delicious cocktails and it was so nice to lie down on a trestle bed in the evening next to a carved lantern on the beach terrace, pull a cocktail and listen to the sea... ehhh... Separately, I want to say that juices are not yuppies here! although fresh juices were not observed either, but there is always a decent quality tetrapack and in unlimited quantities, like bottled water.

Considering that the animation in this hotel is more dead than alive, they entertained themselves, since this was not considered an inconvenience. There are slides on the first and second lines, and at first we found a nursery on the first line and happily tumbled in it all day, dispersing all the kids, and then on the second line we found two more big ones))) We also found a gym, a ping pong table and a sauna it was provided for free (and this is in "4"!!! ) as well as free internet near the pool! We heard that you can rent masks with snorkels for free, but we thought that you should have your own things and bought them in a shop opposite)))
There was absolutely nothing to do at the local disco, first of all, a dull set of music and stupid jokes, and even in Italian or English, it was much more pleasant to sit in the evening at the bar on the beach ("Sunset"), smoke a hookah, listen to music and communicate. Several times we went for a walk in the evening to Savoy, where civilization is in full swing, a bunch of cafes, restaurants, shops, beautiful sculptures and a musical fountain. Once we went to Naama Bay... there is nothing good there, the oriental flavor is completely killed by impudent hucksters with their base Chinese junk, which they are trying to sell you at a speculative price, and they are outraged if you politely refuse. As for entertainment, there are also many restaurants / cafes, but you can hardly feel yourself as cozy and calm as near the hotel, the constant feeling of a big noisy dirty bazaar... local taxi drivers are generally a separate conversation))) I’ll say briefly: we didn’t drive under the oncoming KAMAZ is just a miracle)))
So we didn’t go there anymore, which is why our vacation only won.
Of the minuses, I can only note the central air conditioner, which smelled like hell, unfortunately the two repair teams that came on our call could not do anything with it, I think it’s just old and needs a thorough overhaul, as far as I know at the moment it’s just going there active reconstruction... By the way, while we were resting, construction to the right of the hotel was not carried out, so we did not feel any noise effects.
The general impressions of the rest at the hotel were the most positive, I even shed a tear on the day of departure)) Yes, the hotel is old, but very well-groomed and beautiful, the staff is as helpful as possible (as far as it is possible among the local population), and the sea is just a fairy tale. . .

P. S. For our real honeymoon (which was a year later), we really wanted to get to this hotel, but unfortunately there were no places ((so we went to the neighboring five Sunrise... which we very much regretted remembering the Hilton.
