I am not a big expert in holidays in Egypt, but based on personal experience (I have rested three times in this country), I can say that you should not expect that the hotel will correspond to the declared category in everything. That is, if you go to a 5-star hotel, you need to expect that you will get a 4-star level.
So, specifically and briefly about the Royal Albatros Moderna. In general, I agree with the reviews about this hotel.
Pros:
1. settled quickly and without surcharge;
2. large well-groomed territory, many pools (there is a heated pool);
3. many restaurants and bars, during the day you can eat / have a snack almost at any time;
4. child friendly - family hotel, convenient to travel with strollers, separate pools with slides for children;
5. beautiful reef;
6. quite tasty food.
Minuses:
1. old furniture in the room (the hotel has updated rooms, during my stay it was clear that some of the rooms were under renovation);

some guests had some questions / problems, the staff was not in a hurry to solve them;
3. an old long bridge to enter the sea.
In general, I am satisfied with my stay in this hotel. I can recommend it.
