My husband and I stayed at Sharm Life Garden Reef 29/08/08-05/09/08.
Just want to warn EVERYONE who reads reviews when choosing a hotel - do not believe all the negative reviews. They have always been and will be. And if you just want to have a good rest, enjoy the sun, delicious food and of course the SEA - then you are here.
Upon arrival, after filling out symbolic questionnaires, we were settled in a maximum of 10-20 minutes. The room did not suit only 2 separate beds, but 1 trip to the reception resolved this issue. We didn't pay for a replacement.

The room has everything for a comfortable stay: a large comfortable bed with a snow-white bed, air conditioning and a refrigerator (rescue from the heat!!! ), a safe with a combination lock (free of charge), a TV (2 Russian channels), a table, chairs, a huge mirror, good bathroom with clean towels (changed every day), balcony with table and chairs. The room was cleaned every day. There wasn't even a speck anywhere. Left a purely symbolic tip - 1-2 Egypt. pounds.
The number was ok. Friends had a burned out light bulb, which was replaced immediately; )
The hotel area is large, green and beautiful; everywhere neat and tidy. I want to note that even the most notorious "negativists" wrote very positively about the territory : )
Food: We ate at the main restaurant La-Veranda. There was always a large selection of a wide variety of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. For each "lunch-dinner" there were at least 2-3 meat dishes and fish. Also a huge range of ready-made dishes from vegetables (for vegetarians) and fresh vegetables. Plus lots of sauces and salad dressings. Huge selection of bread and sweets!! ! From fruit for a week we tried: dates, figs, bananas, apples, pears, watermelons, guava, grapes. There was no limit on drinks. The assortment is as follows: mirinda, 7-up, pepsi, water, wine (white, rose-red), beer, tea-coffee.
There were no queues for food, because
always visited a side restaurant (it is separated from the main one, smaller and to the right of the main entrance to the large one - when you exit the elevator). Sometimes there was a delay in clean glasses, but after a maximum of 5 minutes everything was normal. Tables were cleared instantly. The staff is VERY friendly.
The hotel has 3 or 4 swimming pools, + a beach by the sea. Sunbeds and towels are always enough. There was NEVER a line behind them. You just need to consider that according to their rules, 1 towel is given for 1 day. But in principle, you can hand over a towel in one place, and then take it from another pool. There are drinks on the beach all day long. After lunch there is also delicious ice cream.
The animation worked well: every morning there were aqua aerobics, volleyball, dancing by the pool on the beach : ) After dinner, they also came up with different games. In the evenings they entertained with games and at the disco too.
The hotel also has its own spa-fitness center, diving center (with normal prices).

And also there is a pool with water slides, but for some reason it did not work (it was fenced).
Vouchers for free use of the sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi are provided upon arrival, as well as
for 15 min. massage. Plus 25% off other restaurants on site. By itself, cards for towels and magnetic keys (without a key, electricity in the room will not work). They gave us 2 keys: it is very convenient to leave one in the room so that the air conditioner works all the time and it is always fresh.

The hotel is part of the Crown Plaza 5 * complex, but has a 4 * status. This was surprising at first, but then it turned out that Sharm Life Garden Reef is a new unit in the Crown Plaza and, in some respects, such as the distance to the sea (a little further from the old buildings), does not pass under 5 *.

And to everyone who was dissatisfied, I want to say: please, before setting yourself and others up for negativity, remember our domestic resorts (for example, Crimea).
Were you really unhappy there about the lack of toothpicks or the lack of meat dishes for lunch? For some reason, no one is annoyed by the coldness of our staff and the quality of service as a whole (because there is, in principle, none)! And here, roughly speaking in Africa, you find fault with such trifles that, not knowing our post-Soviet reality, I would conclude that only heirs to thrones who have seen the best houses and palaces in the world go to Crown Plaza !! ! After all, of all those who wrote a negative, no one essentially wrote anything except for small nit-picks: toothpicks, towels, sunbeds, glasses ...: )))
People, wake up: calculate how much it costs to rest in our old domestic resorts and what they will offer you for this money. Rejoice that there are such poor countries in which friendly people live who are ready to help you for 1 dollar and that you get a service 100 times cooler for the same money as we do!!!
