Please note that we were in this hotel in April 2017. Egypt is in the midst of a crisis. New hotels are not built in principle, the old ones are practically not being repaired, some hotels do not work at all. For example, when we flew out, booking com showed only 25% occupancy of Sharm hotels!
The hotel is not new, but at one time it was built "for centuries", so that the main furniture such as beds, wardrobes, doors, etc. is not possible to kill in principle. Yes, the bathroom may not have blue-red caps on the taps indicating cold-hot water. This is striking, unpleasant, but not fatal. A double for a week in this hotel cost us a little more than $ 500 along with a flight Kyiv-Charm-Kyiv, for such a ridiculous price with a couple of scratches on the nightstand and with plumbing that was a little too busy reconcile.
Well, okay, let's start in order. We had an early arrival and I immediately went to the reception to arrange an early check in (settlement). Tune in for a long exhausting trades, but was pleasantly surprised. - Early settlement? OK. Here is the price list, early check-in in a double room costs $15. Do you agree? Get a bracelet and go to breakfast. (We had breakfast). . . - How do you like our breakfast? Get cards for towels and follow the porter, he will show you to your room.....In three minutes we are already inspecting our double. Two beds of 140 cm wide killed on the spot. Everything works, no problems. Safe, air conditioning... For the first time in Egypt, I did not need to dance with a tambourine upon check-in, for the first time I did not have to wait for this very check-in for a single minute.

As we saw later, the management and staff are one of the strengths of this hotel. You enter the dining room and freeze at the entrance, not knowing where to go (it happened to us twice) - one of the waiters immediately approaches you. You came to the beach in the morning and stopped in thought in front of the sunbeds with towels in your hands - a hotel worker is already in a hurry to you and covers the sun lounger you have chosen with a towel (it happened to us four times). About 50 times a week we were asked in different languages if everything was fine.
There are a lot of staff, they are everywhere, they really work.
I don’t know if it’s possible to classify animators as hotel staff against this background. Animation is the weakest link in this hotel. You come to the booth and see that at 10-30 every day yoga... 10-30... 10-45... 11-00... but there is no yoga. The next day, suddenly there is yoga, but there is no evening stretching. What young ladies can safely count on is 45 minutes of water aerobics at 11-30 (in the heat of the day). So stock up on creams and panthenol.
Perhaps lucky men? But no))) Volleyball starts at 15-45 in the farthest corner of the beach and the animator girl even languidly passes with the ball along the sun loungers. That's just no one waters the site in order to cool (freshly baked heels are guaranteed). The animator herself sees the ball for the second time in her life and prefers to talk about women with her colleague under the nearest umbrella. Even judging for her is lazy. But that is not all. The site is located in such a way that, with a strong impact, the ball can fly over the stone fence of a neighboring hotel or even fly off a cliff into the sea. How to get it - again, the problems of vacationers. They themselves get over the fence (a total of 8 meters up the ledges) and go down themselves (15 meters again along the stones and corals below). But the people staunchly continue to play, and the "tired" animator leaves with a request "do not forget to bring the ball. "
By the way, since we are talking about corals. . . The reef is again a strong point of this hotel. Take your mask and snorkel with you. People come to this hotel on boats from neighboring ones to scuba dive. And for your own... there are steps that lead directly to the sea, you don’t need to row the devil knows where on the pontoon.

But with the pools near the hotel, the situation is peculiar... they seem to be there, and they seem to be enough, but! The pool near the beach is only 120 cm with steps for the kids, so an adult will not be able to spend a lot of time in it in principle... he plunged - and out.
There is a 170 cm pool, but it is far from the beach (near the main building). In April, the water is still cold there, and there are very few places for sun loungers. Perhaps from June some of the people will move there, but so far it is empty.
The territory of the hotel.
Not little. Lots of steps. . . not recommended for older people. Greens are, but not in excess. In general, the territory and restaurants are designed for Sharm Plaza + Sharm Resort 4 *, but 4 * is not working now, and Sharm Plaza 5 * itself is approximately 50% full. So the circle is free and there is plenty of space.
Cleaning.
The most common for Egypt. Even with a dollar, even without a dollar
Nutrition.
Remember that there is a crisis in Egypt. . . Side dishes include rice, pasta, baked potatoes, and beans. There are enough vegetables, it is better to take chopped ones, and not in salads. Fruits: oranges, grapefruits, bananas, sometimes melons.
With meat tension... there is a grill, but they give it very little, look for beef stew, there is finely chopped meat with vegetables and sauce - it is almost always available for lunch and dinner. There is fish, but I didn't like it.
Even with such a low occupancy of the hotel, there may not be coffee cups for a couple of minutes, there may be no glasses for 5 minutes, and sugar may run out from time to time. In fact, this is a matter of a few minutes, but unpleasant.
We take bottled water for free at the lobby bar, we fill bottles in coolers throughout the hotel.
Bakery. There are always fresh buns, but look carefully, if at dinner you see those that you liked at breakfast, these are they, only winded. Cakes are divided into tasty and not very tasty, those that are "not very" usually have drier cakes.
Contingent.

More than 50% of the hotel are Ukrainians. Germans are about 30%, there are Italians, Poles, Belarusians, Slovaks. Very few locals show up on weekends. There were a lot of Kharkovites from ours. Well, how are Kharkiv residents? Arrived from Kharkov. There were both from Donetsk and Luhansk. To be honest, I noticed that some of ours are really boorish towards the staff. No wonder Germans are more liked in the hotel. And if you consider that the Germans from time to time quietly leave tips and buy freshly squeezed juices, and ours do not bother with this, then the love for Deutsches looks quite justified. Moreover, the staff will still treat you politely and unobtrusively, but with some Germans, the Arabs will hug and give them a better piece, they will occupy the dining table for them. Even a €1 tip for a waiter with his $50 salary is a lot of money. Somehow I didn’t even imagine how much a Deutsche tip left until a waiter came up to us in the evening and asked us to exchange his coins for banknotes. The guy had at least 50 euros in his palms. . . for the evening! Why did he come to us? Just mistook for German tourists. We behaved too European.
Evening entertainment.
The animation, as I said, is very dull.
There is practically nothing within walking distance of the hotel. Book a taxi if calm walks around the hotel and a light coastal breeze are not for you. Taxi in Sharm is inexpensive... it will cost 3-5 dollars one way, just discuss right away what it is for the whole car.
Internet.
Free in the lobby, very slow, you can't go in for a long time, especially in the evenings. Paid in the room, but the cost is exorbitant.
The ideal option is to buy a local SIM card for $ 3, it will be enough to communicate over the network throughout the rest, if you do not shovel video on your smartphone.
I summarize:
Management and staff are great!
The rooms are good.
Cleaning is ok.
The hotel area is mediocre.
Reef is great!
Food - no frills, but normal.
Animation is poor and lazy, if the guys (local) are still trying to do something (aqua aerobics is their merit), then the girls (ours) should be kicked out of the hotel.
Can I recommend visiting it? Yes I can.
Will I go there a second time? I don't know, I prefer variety
