2nd time in Egypt.

Hotel/rooms: The hotel consists of 5 and 4 stars. In terms of equipment and the general area, it looks like there was once a good expensive 5 * hotel. But ...The standard rooms (at least from the jointup) are located on the territory of 4 *, almost the 2nd line, we got the 7th building. The room was without a balcony. The water from the tap does not flow normally: sometimes cold, sometimes hot, and spits, but does not flow, besides, some kind of generator in a neighboring building is around the clock, but after 6 days they turned it off. The doors, the bed creak, there is no bathroom, only a place for a shower separated by a curtain. Near the hotel: wasteland and unfinished, 40 minutes walk to the first market, but there are taxis and minibuses.


Restaurant/Food: Food for 3-ku. Almost all the time, meat is given out in portions (except for stewed beef): either tough beef or overcooked dry chicken, in 10 days the chicken was delicious 2-3 times (when it was stewed once and 2 times grilled whole portioned).
Forks, napkins you need to run around looking for, fruits: oranges, grapefruits and bananas, at first there was guava in the evening, but for the last 4 days guava was at lunch and dinner - not bad, there were pomegranates (3-4 times), but mixed with rotten ones. Sometimes there were dates, but not always ripe and deliciously green. Miranda soda from the vending machine with the taste of colored water - no longer risked. They wanted to go to the "fast food" bar on the beach, but after they saw that salads and hamburgers were poured and cooked with bare hands, they changed their minds. Even vegetables (and especially tomatoes) are not always on the table, about sweets: some biscuit cakes of different colors, once they were like custard cakes with cream, the next time - the same cakes, but without cream ...In 10 days it was twice baklava - portioned, long queue, not sure if everyone got it; ). Plates are greasy, sometimes even from the first run, cups are constantly in short supply.
For all the time in the main restaurant, I took wine 3 times - twice warm from a plastic matted beach, once after waiting 5 minutes - from a chilled bottle.

Staff: The front desk is disgusting. I tried to find out what I needed to change the room (how much to pay) - I was frostbitten with a sly smile and offered in the same building with idle taps and a 24-hour generator. To persuade and beg and still pay money for it is not our option. Other guys changed rooms either for $10 or $5 per person per day, or after a scandal - for free. Whoever is lucky or depending on the mood ...Waiters from the same caste - rush for euro-pensioners, deliver drinks - therefore glasses / cups for ordinary people are always in short supply. The rest of the staff, not associated with a rip-off tip for every sneeze, are pleasant, smiling guys.

Animation: We do not need, but even in the evening there was nothing to see / have fun: the amphitheater was ruined, there is only a semblance: on the street with a small stage and tables / sofas and smoking, drinking and screaming ...Programs are only local competitions.

Beach / Sea: The beach is always full, sunbeds can be caught on the second or third levels. The sea is good, there are many fish, but the corals are pale.

Contingent: A lot of European pensioners (Germans), Poles and Ukrainians.

General: In general, we were dissatisfied with both the rest and the jionup. The hotel does not reach 5 (by some parameters and up to 4), even within the framework of Egypt. Regarding fruits in the bazaars (including the "old bazaar"): last year they bought mangoes in the range of bargaining from $ 1 to $ 2, this year - everyone sells for $ 3 and no one is trading, the maximum that they found - 2.8$. So even this turned out to be an unpleasant bonus. The cost of $900 for 10 nights is very high, up to $600 would be acceptable and a higher score.
