Wonderful stay at Sierra Hotel! Thanks to our travel agent for recommending this hotel. This was the first trip to Egypt. Before that, there was Turkey and Thailand. The main requirement, in addition to decent conditions and service, was the availability of entertainment in the evening. During the day there is always something to do (sea, beach, excursions), but in the evening there is not always a choice of entertainment. In this regard, Sierra is just a great place. Near Soho Square, just outside the hotel. You feel safe at any time of the day or night. You can just walk around, there are many shops and cafes that are open until late, a wonderful Panjaya disco bar (for Sierra, free admission and two drinks). There is also a large stage on the square, where every day there are concerts and entertainment (we got to the Bonnie Tyler concert) - all for free. Another plus for Sierra guests is that there is a free bar on the square to the left of the stage, that is, you are outside the hotel, but there are also entertainment and drinks. For me personally, to be constantly on the ter. the hotel is a bit boring, much better if you have a choice. There are also two cafes on the square where guests of the Sierra can dine for free every evening. We went to Hakuna Matata a couple of times. Not bad. But! Food in Egypt, in principle, is not very good, as for my taste there is a bit too much salt and spices in many dishes. Although they have never been hungry, they always eat a choice. Just until you understand what dishes are yours, you already have to leave. Sierra Beach is located on the ter. Savoy. You can walk (10 minutes), very beautiful area. It is possible by bus (every 30 min. ). For several days in a row we didn’t go to the restaurant from the beach for lunch, we wanted to be by the sea. There is a cafe on the beach: beer, alcohol wine, water, tea, juice, ice cream, pizza, sandwiches, french fries. Long story short, we ate there. In the main restaurant, in my opinion, there were not enough fruits and fresh vegetables. Perhaps this was due to the fact that there were not so many guests. The big race was expected about a week after us - at Christmas. But I have no complaints about the restaurant and service. I didn’t really like the fact that as soon as the bracelets were taken off - that’s it, you can’t take anything at the bar. Got to the point of absurdity. Our friends, who were still at the hotel, treated us to 1 glass of juice, so the waiter came up and wanted to take this glass, because it was impossible. That is, you can pour it out, but you can’t drink it for “non-hotel guests”. It's not nice somehow. Our flight on the day of departure was rescheduled for late evening. We had to pay an extra 20 bucks to extend the bracelets from 12 noon to 6 pm (use of everything except the room). Could pay 52 dollars. , then the number would be extended. The rooms were decent. Of course cleanliness is not perfect. For example, if compared with our Ukrainian fours, then of course not a very good impression at first. Domestic fours shine with perfect cleanliness and the service is certainly better. But what to do, Egypt, like Thailand, is a different story. The Sierra is generally a pretty decent hotel. I wish they could use vacuum cleaners! I don’t understand how you can achieve cleanliness by smearing dirt and debris with rags. Linen and towels were clean and changed every day. Left 1 dollar. tips in the room. What more i can say? Animators are good guys, the hotel area is beautiful and comfortable. For children - separate pools and playground. I have my doubts about food for children. In the morning, the child could be fed oatmeal, scrambled eggs, yogurt, plums. butter, jam, cheese - perhaps that's all. Well, of course sweets, pastries. But for lunch, basically all the soups are salty and with spices. Of the side dishes - there were mashed potatoes, french fries, baked potatoes, rice, various stewed vegetables (if your children eat this), stewed meat and grilled chicken have always been. I think the main problem for children is the lack of the first for lunch, otherwise they will not remain hungry. Guests of Sierra are of different age groups, there were many young people, ranging from 20 years old and up....., and middle-aged people, and families with children, and couples, and companies, the elderly are few. Conclusion: I recommend this hotel, I liked it very much, we had a great rest, I really hope that we will come here more than once.
