We rested together with my husband from August 19 to September 3.2022.
I write a review in detail and to the point. Of course, the opinion is subjective, however, I cannot help but note the general fact: if you fly to the resort with a great mood and a smile to others, then your vacation will be 100% successful in all respects! If you fly with the aim of looking for something to complain about or with whom to quarrel - the impressions will surely be the worst of everything ????
1. Settlement
We were taken to the hotel from the airport at about 8 am, immediately checked in (we traditionally threw $ 10 in our passport) and asked to wait in the lobby for a while. Approximately 1.5 hours later, we were given a key to the room, cards, and were escorted to room 6459. The escort delivered our luggage, showed everything on the way to our building and asked if we liked the room (which, by the way, was declared on the ticket) us Everything was fine, I liked the room.
2. Number

The room is bright, clean, has everything you need: a balcony with a great view of the main pool; portable dryer for wet clothes; safe; fridge; closet with enough hangers; TV (although we don’t watch it, but there are many different channels, we checked it); hair dryer (surprisingly normal full-fledged hair dryer! ); a tray with a kettle, cups, spoons, glasses, water (4 liters for two per day), tea, coffee, sugar; The room is full of sockets, which is very pleased! Noise isolation from the balcony is perfect, although from the corridor - no??? ? ))). Everything in the room works fine, no complaints. Bed with a good mattress, pillows are comfortable, soft. The shower cabin was at first embarrassing because the door did not close tightly, but the water from it never flowed onto the floor. The bathroom has soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion.
We asked at the reception if there were slippers - after a couple of minutes they brought us slippers and bathrobes and the ashtray we requested.
The room is cleaned daily: floors are washed, horizontal surfaces are wiped, everything necessary in the bathroom is washed, the bed is made (change of bed linen every 3 days), towels are changed, water, tea, coffee, and shampoo are replenished, etc. We always left a $1 tip for cleaning, but I believe that even without this, the cleaning would have been 5+!
The service at the hotel is excellent by all criteria, nothing to complain about!
3. Territory
The entire territory of the hotel is very well-groomed and clean, everything looks very beautiful from any angle - a lot of flowers, greenery, lanterns...There are few special walking places (for example, the courtyard of our building with a swing, a fountain and a gazebo), but along all the buildings and pools Lots of trails to walk along.
There is an interesting area on the roof of the hotel, where there is a stunning view of the sunset (Sunset bar).
There are many cats walking around the territory, they all look well-groomed, they have their own places with food and water, so that visitors to the hotel are not interested in cats; we didn’t notice that cats bothered anyone, and most of the guests take pictures with them and try to pet them????
Wi-fi in the hotel perfectly catches throughout the territory and in the room, the connection quality is good. My husband and I decided to play it safe and bought a local SIM card for the Internet at the airport, but, in general, we only needed it on the beach or on Soho Square, where the hotel’s Wi-Fi does not catch.
4. Beach

An open bus runs to the beach daily, every 20 minutes (it takes exactly 3 minutes), but you can also walk on foot if you are not too lazy. The beach itself is beautiful: there are plenty of sun loungers with umbrellas; there is a shower, a toilet, a bar with fast food and drinks, the same as in other bars of the hotel; there are water sports and entertainment, diving.
Lifeguards are very closely watching the vacationers both on the beach and by the pools, well done!
The sea did not please us personally: the entrance is sandy, gently sloping, with a depth when ankle-deep, when knee-deep ...only 2 meters, and then buoys and corals ...There are two long floating pontoons on the beach that lead to great depths, where reef. My husband and I can’t swim, so we didn’t do snorkeling, but we saw photos and videos from other vacationers, the reef is good, rich in life and very beautiful!
5. Pools
According to the scheme of the hotel, there are only 8 of them. Sunbeds with umbrellas are enough everywhere. Everywhere there are places for the issuance and acceptance of towels. All pools have outdoor showers and toilets. The largest pool is in the center of the hotel, there is also a bar (you can come up from the water), on a hill above the pool there is a platform with an audio system, where animators turn on music during the day and also hold various entertainment events.
This pool has the most fun and is for all ages, from 0 to 140 cm deep.
There are two other pools nearby - one for children, 50 cm deep and the other with a volleyball net, 120 cm. Behind the 6th building there is another pool (also with a water bar), there is also a snack bar. There is also an adults-only swimming pool (depth from 0 to 150 cm), also with a bar, the atmosphere there is for relaxation. Near the SPA building (right at the door) there is another, small pool with a bar, and above it there is a pool with salty sea water, 120 cm deep. We went around all the pools, each has its own advantages, you can choose for every taste and mood!
6. Bars
The main bar is located in the lobby and is open until 1:00. There is also a beach bar; bar on Soho Square to the right of the stage, until 1:00; rooftop bar (open in the evening during the show); a bar in the restaurant and bars in almost all pools, they are open until sunset.

We tried a lot of drinks: excellent coffee (in any version from the coffee machine), delicious packaged juices in a large assortment (not Yupi! ), drinking various shots from local alcohol (the degree is weak, but not diluted, the quality is good) - rum, tequila, gin , whiskey, etc. , but we especially love the ouza with ice, and we drank it!??? ? Good Heineken beer, also weak, which is even a plus for us - you can drink a lot in the heat ??? ? . There is a cocktail card, but you can ask the bartenders to make any other cocktail to your taste. The lobby bar also has a good selection of imported drinks (for a fee, we did not look at the prices), and you can also order a hookah for $6. The service is excellent: everything is promptly served and removed, the tables and ashtrays are clean, the waiters can bring drinks if you don’t want to stand at the bar yourself.
- Breakfast: all kinds of pastries; cereals and milk soups; eggs in all variants; falafel, sausages, mashed potatoes, beans, moussaka, etc. ; fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, cheeses, yoghurts, sweets, coffee, tea and juices - there is always something to choose from.
- Lunch: 2 types of delicious soups are always available, a good selection of hot dishes (meat - beef, chicken, lamb, duck, turkey, quails ... ), fish, vegetables, legumes, cereals ...All this in various variations: grilled, fried, stewed, baked, boiled (there is also a children's / diet menu). There is a separate corner where pasta (spaghetti, penne, fusilli) is cooked in an open kitchen with sauces to choose from (creamy, tomato, spicy, bolognese, pesto) and additives to choose from. There is almost always a queue in this corner, but the wait is no more than 10-12 minutes, and even then it is rare (from 1-2 people to 7-8). The restaurant has a good selection of cold appetizers, pickles, fresh vegetables and herbs. A choice of bakery products, sauces, oils, spices.
Plenty of desserts - pastries, cakes, jellies, Arabic sweets and fresh seasonal fruits. Everyone can choose suitable and favorite dishes. The chefs are exceptionally friendly (they come up and explain what unsigned dishes are, give recommendations, serve clean plates, ask if everything is fine) - well done, but they cook amazingly delicious!!!????
- Dinner: not much different from lunch, except that dinner is served with a few special grilled dishes, as well as, as it seemed to us, a larger selection of fish and desserts than for lunch.
There is an a la carte restaurant "Akuna Matata" in the hotel (also overlooking Soho Square). Guests of the hotel can visit the hotel once a week for free by appointment (on the same day) and dine with seafood. Of course, the menu is not only seafood, you can choose another main course. My husband and I went to this restaurant and we liked everything, we recommend!

From 13:00 to 17:00 you can eat pizza and other fast food near one of the pools and on the beach. We didn't try any of this as we had enough food in the main restaurant.
It’s a pity that there is nothing to eat from 10:30 to 13:00 (if you overslept breakfast ???? ) and there is no light late dinner (when you don’t feel like sleeping yet, but it wouldn’t hurt to eat).
8. Sports, entertainment and spa
The hotel has the aforementioned water volleyball pool; you can go to the gym; play darts, table tennis, huge chess (on the street field); there is a mini-golf course (for a fee), a tennis court (for a fee), there is another thing that we were not even looking for.
Also, when checking into the hotel, we were given vouchers for going to billiards or bowling; you can visit the ice rink, as well as a sauna, bath or jacuzzi to choose from.
9. Animation
Animation team "Sun Club" - super guys!! ! Incredibly positive and active, but not intrusive!
During the day, various entertainment events, contests and games are held by the pools (their schedule can be viewed in the lobby at the Guest reception table); in the evenings for children there is a mini disco, after which interactive shows are held on the roof of the hotel (bingo game, miss hotel, mister hotel, the best couple of the hotel, karaoke, etc. ) ). If hotel guests make it clear that they are not interested in disco and active entertainment, then the animators will no longer pester them with persuasion????
The hotel goes directly to Soho Square, where guests have Soho Square - here in the evenings on the stage there are various performances of dancers, singers, musicians; armchairs and tables are arranged, there is a bar (free for Sierra), you can order pizza (very cheap) or smoke a hookah.
Soho Square itself can be described for a long time, it must be seen, but in short this: an incredibly beautiful place with illuminations everywhere, sculptures for cool photo shoots, with a singing fountain (every hour they turn on approximately), with all kinds of entertainment: cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, where you can buy whatever you want.
10. Other

There is an ATM in the lobby, which is very convenient (it accepts cards, but you can also just exchange cash, the menu is simple, in English). By the way, I would like to thank the employee of the Adly hotel, who noticed our difficulties with the ATM and immediately provided assistance (we did not want to exchange a large euro bill, and the ATM does not give change in foreign currency, so Adly exchanged money for us in a shop around the corner for smaller ones bills).
If hotel guests need any help or information, you can contact Guest reception - Mohammed in the lobby, he will help with everything you need.
Here we signed up for an a la carte restaurant, looked through the plan of events for the day, etc.
Special thanks to Mohammed for helping us get information about our return flight! It so happened that we were unlucky with the guide ("Sun international" - "Join up"), because when meeting with him, the guide gave us general information about the hotel and our recreation opportunities, unsuccessfully tried to sell us various excursions, wrote out our insurance number (it is not clear why), left his phone number and offered to contact him on What's App if necessary. On the eve of the flight, we wrote to him, but we didn’t get an answer ...Then we turned to Mohammed, he promptly provided us with confirmed information about the time of departure and transfer, told us what was what - thank you very much!????
Only when checking out, an unpleasant nuance arose (we don’t know who is responsible for this, probably our tour operator): as we were told, at the appointed time, when checking out, they would come to the room for suitcases, but no one came, so we carried the suitcases on our own in the dark by territory. And, alas, no one took care to give us the promised lunch boxes or at least a bottle of water for the journey ...A trifle, but unpleasant, especially like this, in the end, as if they didn’t give a damn about us ??
There are a couple of little things (recommendations) that the hotel staff may pay attention to:
- I was surprised by the absence of magnets or souvenirs with the logo of the Sierra Hotel (we always buy in memory of hotels) - make them, the demand will be for sure;
- the appearance of the reception shocked us at first - it felt like you were at the reception desk of a polyclinic or somewhere else in similar places, but certainly not in a hotel or resort!

It looks very uncomfortable and ugly, but this is the first thing that guests see - you can probably at least decorate it somehow ...
I didn’t mention the contingent of vacationers - most of the guests here are Italians and Arabs, about 80% (mostly they all rest with families and fairly large companies); At first, there were very few Russian speakers, hardly 1-2%, then it increased (Russians, Armenians, Kazakhs, Belarusians, Uzbeks and others). The attitude towards all guests is equally good and attentive on the part of the service staff, there is no discrimination based on nationality or even more Russophobia (which is relevant at this time). Almost all the employees with whom we talked at the hotel, and the merchants on Soho Square speak Russian quite well (as well as in many other languages, polyglots, not otherwise???? ), and if necessary, they call a "translator", who is better understands the language, so there were no problems in communication either.
TO SUM UP: we will definitely return to the Sierra Hotel and highly recommend it to everyone!
