Last year, 2021, we already rested in sunny Sharm El Sheikh, the hotel was big and new, but we didn’t like the reef, the staff was sleepy, no animation, in general, “the first pancake is lumpy” in Egypt.
As a result, this year we took the description of the hotel seriously. A million reviews were read, dozens of videos on youtube were reviewed, as a result, our choice fell on the SIERRA hotel, which we have never regretted.
Rooms.
Our room was on the first floor, overlooking the garden. The room is not large in size, but very clean, all furniture and appliances are in good condition. The room was cleaned every day, drinking water was replenished, towels were changed. Bed linen for 14 days was always fresh.
Main restaurant.
The food is very tasty and varied (which was not in the last hotel), there is a choice for every taste, a variety of fruits and desserts. The waiters in the restaurant are very attentive and polite.
Animation.
The animators guys are great, almost every day there were evening shows of the program, which really had fun. From 10 am on the beach it all started - exercises, darts, aqua aerobics, music, dancing. I would especially like to mention Boris, he is a beginner animator, but very attentive and never left us without attention for all 14 days. There are several bars on the territory, we didn’t even go around all of them)) In the pool bar near our sector, there is always an assortment of drinks, and the bartender Ahmed makes magic cocktails, and always with a smile. A very pleasant young man and does not leave any visitor unattended! The bar, which is not far from the main restaurant, is open until 1 am.
Beach bar This bar is open from 10 am to 5 pm, drinks are also in stock, from 1 pm you can have a bite of hamburgers, and from 3 pm to 5 pm ice cream.
Beach
Since the Sierra hotel is located on the second coastline, you can walk to the beach (10/12 minutes), or by bus, which starts at 8 am and until 18.30 pm, runs between the hotel and the beach every 20 minutes. There are enough sun loungers on the beach, umbrellas too. Panton is not very long, entry into the water is only from it. The underwater world is very diverse and beautiful, especially if you come in the morning when there are few people, you can see a lot of beautiful fish that are not visible during the day (we observed almost all kinds of inhabitants of the Red Sea). The reef is just amazing. Even more interesting than on trips on yachts. Diving is also possible here.
The beach itself is clean, they clean it regularly, but tourists, of course, can pollute the place around them, although the trash cans and bins are very closely spaced on the territory, but cleaning up after themselves is a problem for some...
SOHO area
These are separate experiences for us. Well done to the organizers and owners for coming up with this square. There is a bowling alley, there is a skating rink and many other entertainments for the evening. In the evening life begins there: fountains, music, restaurants, shops. Show programs, live music, dances are held on the square every day. By the way, for guests of the Sierra Hotel there is a free bar with drinks next to the stage. Going out in the evening and walking around the square is like a separate ritual.
In the end, I want to say that we really liked the rest at the SIERRA hotel, if the next time our choice in terms of vacation falls on Egypt, I think we will return to this hotel without a doubt)))
