I am writing for those who doubt whether to go to 4 stars. I read conflicting reviews, we decided to go because of the reef, the recommendation of a friend and the difference in price between Faraana and a five-star hotel.
It was scary to go, I even took hangers with me, not to mention shampoo ...
We arrived at the end of lunch, the boys sent us for lunch, quickly settled in two rooms for two people. For a surcharge of $ 10, they gave a two-story villa in the center of the territory, number 576.
The rooms have everything except shampoo. Soap in things that are attached to the wall, toothbrushes, paste - this is not.
It was not clear how towels and bedding were changed - they asked at the reception, after the second request the "maid" came up and asked the reception not to go, but to approach him if necessary.
Food: the usual hotel, without any restrictions. Meat and fish are put by the cooks, but if it’s not enough, you show what else is needed and add it without talking.
The restaurant only has beer from alcohol, but the bars have everything: gin, whiskey, rum, tequila.
I read about ill-mannered Arabs who put children on the table in a restaurant in shoes (it was scary) - this has NEVER happened !!! ! In general, there were no locals among the tourists.

The reef is simply luxurious at the hotel. Ships brought tourists to our reef for money. I read in the reviews about the "dilapidated pontoon" - an absolutely normal, stationary wooden pontoon to the right of the beach, you can swim to the left and to the right - both there and there it is beautiful.
The territory of the hotel is huge, everything is done under the authentic antiquity - doors, frames in the rooms, benches on the territory. Very green, new plants planted, each tied to a stick - it is clear that everything is done with love and attention.
We read about construction and garbage, it also scared me. There is construction - they are making a road to the sea, laying it out with marble.
In the heat, when people are lying on the beach, people plow, carry stones on themselves ....
I made a conclusion for myself once again: everyone sees what he wants to see. If you want to see cracks in the tiles, you see. If you want to see a gorgeous sea, caring staff, you see.
I can’t say anything about the hotel Wi-Fi, on the first day we went to the corner (to the left of the gate), bought local cards, Vodafone, 4GB for $ 11, more than enough, I caught it everywhere, even on excursions to the sea.
We took excursions from a guide, went to the White Island, I recommend it. Agreed for $55. There were three stops - at the first reef, at the second the guy hooked the aunts to the circle, drove around the reef, dived, showed the fish, at the third stop was the White Island itself - a coral shoal in the sea. Very beautiful - pieces of coral, shells. Everyone crawled, collected with a buzz. We fed twice - the first time soup, very handy, at the first thought of food, the second time specifically, a fish dinner. Tea, soft drinks - no restrictions.
The staff is very kind, attentive. Recommend.
For shopping. Old Town - 15 minutes on foot, to the left of the gate. You can arrange a taxi for $1. To the right from the gate to the corner and to the left is El Mercato, prices are an order of magnitude lower, so I recommend taking masks and fins there. BUT!! ! Attentively! One eagle tried to stick plastic flippers instead of silicone ones. Silicone took $ 9 each, in the city they cost 15.
We went to Soho in awe, a small piece of the road with expensive shops, equipped near the Savoy Hotel. I do not recommend...
We went to the famous George Clooney store - it's something!!!!! ! A small shop, crammed full of people and shitty goods, in the ass of civilization ....They didn’t buy anything at all, they didn’t even walk around it, because this is impossible simply because of the number of people in it. I do not recommend. Although the delivery is free to it, we drove for 40 minutes, stopping at all the hotels ....And then for $ 8 we went to the Old City.
