We rested with my sister in Sharm El Sheikh at the Faraana Reef 4 * hotel from April 21 to April 28.2021. The hotel is located in the Hadaba area, the territory is large and well-groomed, one pool near the reception with an artificial wave and a smooth entry, the second one is near the beach with a bar where you can drink delicious coffee from a coffee machine in the morning, and drink during the day from 11 o'clock and in the evening delicious cocktails (we got a gin and tonic) and attend events (jazz evening, live pop music evening, disco). Atmospheric cafes on site, located on the shore: Santorini cafe in the Greek style and Mince cafe in the Arabic style (for a fee). The check-in at the hotel went perfectly, I got a renovated room near the pool with a bar and down to the beach (they didn’t pay anything extra, then they treated the manager to a chocolate bar). The descent to the beach on the steps did not bother, but made it possible to warm up, even considering our “not quite young” age (55 and 60 years). Sunbeds on the beach in the shade must be borrowed early in the morning, they are not enough for everyone (according to vacationers, you can ask a beach worker to take a sunbed for $ 1). We solved this issue in a simpler way: there is no sunbed on the beach - we go to the pool, it’s even more fun there (next to the bar)! Be sure to use sunscreen from day one! And then the rest will be ruined. A beach with a sandy entry into the sea, no pantone (this disappointed me a little, because I like to swim and admire the beauty of fish and corals). There are a lot of fish on the beach near the islands of dead corals, some people swam across the coral reef, but I did not dare. . . so I looked at the fish on the beach. On the beach there is a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Animation on the beach is active (yoga, water aerobics) for adults. It’s boring for children in the hotel, because there is no children’s animation and the pool near the bar is very deep, children are not interested in the sea, they are most interested in slides, so it’s better to go with children to the neighboring Albatros hotel. The food at the hotel is “modest”, few vegetables, but the meat and fish are delicious. Lunch in a restaurant overlooking the sea and crows stealing food from the tables, as well as delicious fish and grilled chicken (I liked the fish better and once the liver was also delicious). In the end: the holiday was a success! I am glad that I can choose a hotel myself, focusing on reviews in tripadvisor and youtube and other reviews, and, most importantly, I can catch a Last-minute tour myself and buy at any time of the day or night directly from the Tour Operator, bypassing travel agencies, paying with a card and receiving a discount 8%. I received this opportunity and advantage with a subscription to the Advant Travel online service, which I took advantage of by purchasing the tour of my dreams.
