We were very pleased with the hotel. The price-quality ratio justified itself. After reading the previous reviews before the trip, we did not even know what to expect. But when we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised - the territory is quite large and well-groomed, a lot of greenery, trimmed bushes, arches. The hotel still shows its former grandeur, although occupancy was probably less than 50%. We arrived very early, around 5 am. They settled us quickly - within an hour. No one demanded money and we did not pay extra. We were given a second house from the sea, however, the balcony overlooked the bushes and the road. Friends paid $70 extra and were given a room in the first house overlooking the sea. The view was really cool - the whole bay, at a glance. If you had money, it was worth paying extra for it. There were three of us in the room, but the room was large, it was not crowded despite two very wide beds and one narrower. Yes, the furniture and plumbing are old, but in principle everything worked. What is important, the kandik worked well, in the summer there was no way without it. And from previous trips I know that there are often problems with candida in Egypt. The bathroom had a hair dryer and liquid soap. Bottled water is not provided at all. It can be downloaded from coolers by the pools at any time of the day, the main thing is to have an empty bottle.
There is no Wi-Fi in the hotel at all, so if you need Internet, buy a local SIM card. You can buy it at the airport, nearby shops or at the hotel itself. The guide warned that Orange in the hotel does not catch everywhere. I don't know if this is true or not. Friends took Vodafone and Etisalat - they worked well.
Nutrition. The breakfast is of course very poor. Having visited breakfast once, on the day of arrival, I didn’t go to them anymore. True, the coffee was ground from a coffee machine. Lunch was in a restaurant above the sea (only on Sunday - in the restaurant at the reception). This is a very convenient option - you do not need to go through the entire hotel to the reception in the heat. Went halfway up the steps, ate at the outdoor restaurant, and then walked the remaining half of the steps. Only if you sit at the extreme tables overlooking the sea, do not leave plates of food unattended, because. crows can steal meat. We had this once. The food for lunch was good - meat, fish, rice, potatoes, some salads. Of course, not for gourmets, but we were full. Fruits for lunch were given - dates, melon and oranges; Dinner was often watermelon. By the way, dinner has the widest variety of food, well, in Egyptian hotels it is usually always like this. Of course, it is inconvenient that all the food is behind glass and only the waiters impose everything, which created queues. And often you had to guess what was in front of you, because. nothing is signed as it used to be.

Another very convenient point is the fruit tent next to the main pool near the reception. She only started working in the evening, before dinner. We took there frozen mango juice, guava, strawberries in 2-liter canisters for $4 (the price is the same as in the Mango market). Very tasty juice. We took a couple of canisters home, wrapped them well in bags, flew well in a suitcase. This stall also sold mangoes for $2/kg, watermelons for $3 each, and fresh figs for $3/kg.

Sea. The beach is large and not fully used. There were more than enough sunbeds. It is inconvenient that there is no pantone. At low tide, one had to crawl directly into the depths in shallow water, and not everyone dared to do this. By the way, it is better to swim from the pantone of the Oasis Reef, there is still at least a little deeper. Reef Oasis did not let him into his pantone. It was possible to use the abandoned pantone on the right side, but you have to go there and there are not all the steps, you have to be careful not to get scratched. Although there are fish in shallow water.
The shops. The nearest shops to the hotel are about 5 min. walk, when leaving the hotel on the left. There is a pharmacy, fruit and everything else. Also, this is the road to the Old Market, but it takes about 30 minutes to go there. Opposite the 1001 nights complex (from the side), where there was once a Metro store, now a Mango market has opened. The store itself is not big, but it has almost everything at reasonable prices: fruits, change, teas, coffee, frozen fresh juices in cans, shampoos, creams, suitcases, clothes, masks....it's very convenient that everything is collected in one place . Interestingly, the prices in the shops in the hotel were almost the same as in the market.
