Spain called me (again and two years later). Tickets were bought two months in advance, from us - through Prague to Valencia (bypassing Moscow) and back - through Amsterdam. There are two reasons: it was planned to look out to other cities/countries, without waiting for a transfer in Moscow, and the relative cheapness of tickets, since these destinations were at the very top of the skyscanner list.

Czech Republic. I have been here several times, so I just wanted to take a walk or go somewhere right away from the airport during the 10-hour stopover. It was winter in Karlovy Vary, therefore, after looking for destinations, I decided to leave this option for the summer. I even bought bus tickets in advance from a trusted STUDENT AGENCY. And Czech Airlines (regular, not low-cost! ) - just canceled the flight! They sent me a letter with an offer to fly the next day at the same time. While I was thinking, I immediately got a second letter - if you are silent, then we will refund the money for the ticket. Oh!!!... Then I have a shoulder to Valencia. I didn’t see the choice for an inexperienced traveler, I just agreed). The Czechs, of course, informed me in time, if the time was less than a month, they would have to pay a good commission. And I stayed with the planned booking of a bed for the night in Prague.

Prague. So, the arrival at 6 am in Prague by Smartwings subsidiary went smoothly. I handed over my bag (hand luggage) to the storage room at the Florence bus station (Ú st? ední autobusové ná dra? í Florenc) - a day 70 kroons (3 euros). I agreed with the employee that my 30 hours will pass as 70 kroons (and at the airport - 150 kroons). Walked until 2 pm, check-in at the Light Apartment in the center of Prague. Everything is fine. In the morning at 10 o'clock I vacated the apartments and reached the bus station. And the grandmother lost the receipt (! ) (((……… An employee (another already) demanded a bunch of papers from me and presented penalties - he took in two days + 4 euros for losing a piece of paper with a number (so I saved it))). I was upset because I was missing 50 cents, he didn’t have change, and he didn’t accept the card. Two pans who came up came to the rescue and gave me half a euro.

So, the trip is off to a good start).

At customs, they looked at hand luggage very meticulously. Departure - no problem.

Valencian country. Spain is a wonderful country. Valencia/Valencian Country is an autonomous region in Spain. The first time I was here was two years ago. I went to my own, so they just met me. They lived in Oropese, not far from Castelló n de la Plana. I will not describe 10 days of bliss - the sea smoothes everything and everyone))) You get used to the Spanish mentality. To amazing sculptures - too, although there is a feeling that they appear where construction debris should be thrown away (pipes, ropes, scraps of flooring, tiles... ), but you don’t want to))) The buildings are not similar to each other, but there are tiles in different variations (like the Portuguese azulejo). Topless is the norm without age (even for those over 60... ) On the beach - the “Turkish” option to “take a seat” with a folding umbrella chair (at least 1.5 cm from your feet or slippers that the Spaniards can simply put away on meter))). There are at least three children in every family. *I will not continue further - you can fall in love with Spain. I was in the neighboring towns of the coast - Alcocebre, Benicassim, Castell de la Plana.

The airport in Valencia. I was unable to check in online for a KLM Valencia-Amsterdam flight. The control check was meticulous. They rummaged through the man's purse until some kind of payment was taken out of the storeroom.

Amsterdam. Arrival by a subsidiary of KLM - Transavia. Not even water was offered, sorry.

Aaaamsterdaaam! …. In general - the charm of the airport and the city. Schiphol Airport is huge (they tell the truth on the Internet). I have a transfer of 5 hours of pure time. I threw my bag into the automatic locker and left. With difficulty I found (under the airport) a passage to the trains, there you also need to pass control. I bought a ticket (cash and card) at the machine (the interface is calm, a little bit of English is enough) - it's cheaper (they write, but did not check) than at the box office; validator - mandatory (on entry and exit). Keep in mind that trains from both sides a and b can depart from the same platform at the same time. To travel to the center - take a ticket to Amsterdam Centraal. Trains are like Sapsan (device and appearance). Two stops later - the central station itself. I read in advance the information about the possibility of a free ferry service, I left the station building not in the center, but in the opposite direction. The people are crowding. Yes, there are three berths (all three - b / pl), the leftmost one is the longest passage. Ferries from the central stop go to the Eye Museum and the building where the A * Dam Lookout is located (4-5 minutes on the way). We reached the opposite bank obliquely in the direction of NDSM Wharf quite quickly - 14 minutes. Then immediately back, since I have only 4 hours of pure time left. During this time, I only managed to run along two or three streets, visit shops (HEMA, Damrak St. , Kalverstraat, etc. ), check in for the next flight with a choice of seats and book a 5 euro discount in Dutik. And that's it. I didn’t even try the famous herring, because the temperature was +30. The minimum program that I had planned for myself was not even fulfilled by a third. Alas. So, I will come again)) * or more than once. I liked the city. Highly. Fairytale gingerbread houses. Wide bike lanes. Channels. *Beer)) And smiles.

So, back to the station - a quick step). At the airport, I went up to the departure area and went through all types of control, but it turned out that the bag was in the arrivals storage room (lounge 1), and the departure from lounge 2. A friend of the airport employee (on his back there is an inscription about the possibility of assistance) Rob helped I have to go through several entrances and exits, bypassing the lines to the border guards. I explain - "I just need to go for a bag, " and in response to me - another stamp in my passport. So… Grandmother, in a word… By the way, in Dutik, indeed, I took a discount of 5 euros upon presentation of the barcode of the discount coupon, which I received when registering on the Schiphol airport website. There was an interesting promotion - 2 bottles of toilet water of any volume for 49 euros (choice - on the airport website), etc. For shopping in airport shops, you also need to prepare.

KLM flight. We checked in quickly, but we waited an hour in the cabin. No one was nervous or noisy. Silently they waited. But on the flight there was a mini-pizza, a cupcake, coffee-tea-water-juices-beer-wine.

So. Conclusions of a leisurely grandmother:

  • It is possible and necessary to fly connecting flights with large connections. But regular flights can make adjustments to plans (even seemingly reliable ones like Czech Airlines).
  • With hand luggage for two weeks - you can fly, but it's difficult, because you want to take more not "there", but "back". I had restrictions - 10 (Czechs) and 12 (KLM) kg, and for the Czechs - without a personal item (handbag), which I hid in a bag. I even put something in my jacket pockets))
  • No need to change the rules of "cleaning" / liquidation of receipts and checks by city / country before leaving / departing from them, *my receipt is in Prague.
  • You need to prepare for trips carefully and on all kinds of sites, there are a lot of tips from experienced people. Thanks to them))))

  • It is difficult for unhurried grandmothers to pass all at least programs, but some part of them can be mastered. Photographing everything is possible, but not necessary). The best photos are memories.
  • Any journey (mine, at least) comes with some lessons (or even a "table face")). But everywhere there are good human beings – in every country, in every city. They will help you everywhere. No need to be afraid of novelty.
  • General conclusion - the more you know, the more you want to know even more (c).
