Food? Not gourmet but we didn't care. They came here not to eat away... We had half board, so we dined every day in different restaurants.

For excursions. The island is small (by car diagonally along the highway 1.5 hours drive), so all trips are not burdensome and are easily transferred. There are few excursion objects, but landscapes - you can describe yourself... ))) It is better to take a car and dissect along their roads. Especially in the northern (mountainous) part. Serpentines with masterpiece pictures of nature and landscapes. Cool road to Sa Colobra. . . If you don't feel dizzy, enjoy it. In general, we traveled all the roads and beaches, from all sides of the island. This is our real impressions, and we also studied Mallorca as a native dacha))) We were fed up with impressions to the point of fatigue from rest...
As for the "Natalia", we were not lucky with them. It can be attributed to accidents, but it did a drop of tar. From the beginning they refused to give us a visa 9 days before departure. We made it ourselves. So they could... Then they incorrectly indicated the time of departure from Moscow... As a result, we spent 8 hours in Domodedovo "admiring" the liners through the window... Already in Mallorca, for our very first excursion, many tickets were resold, as a result, we 2 more families did not take "on board"... The tour guide said that they would come for you right now and disappeared around the corner... We waited in the sun for 1.5 hours and returned to the hotel. They apologized to us and offered us another day... Maybe all this is an accident, but it upset us a bit... Then they compensated themselves with individual trips around the island...

The resort of Illetas is charming, quiet, cozy and respectable, at the same time it is only 9 km from Palma, and the bus stop (1 euro) and taxi (about 1 euro / km) is located almost at the entrance to the hotel. Halfway between Illetas and Palma is the summer residence of the Spanish royal family. At 10 km - Magaluf, where water parks, discos and other cereals, if desired. We were in Western Park. Well, nothing, in general. Nothing special, but ok. The slides are terrible. And a great water show.
Hotel Rock Illetas Playa (Rock Illetas Playa) is very good, cozy, although quite large, the kitchen is excellent. The interior is in the old English style. Everywhere there are lovely paths, arches and hedges of living vegetation. Free sauna, indoor pool with jacuzzi (well, several open ones). Summer terrace over the sea - super! Dinner on it, after 9 pm, when lanterns and candles are lit, and signal lights are lit by yachts on the sea, is called "Feel like an oligarch. " The wines are very worthy, both in the hotel and in shops, the hotel is more expensive, of course. Every evening a show - magicians, acrobats, flamenco. Not far from the hotel is a wonderful fish restaurant "Illetas", and on Fridays, it seems, an elderly Russian chansonnier, now a local almost a native, sings and plays the piano there.
Unfortunately, in this area the coastline is very indented and rocky, so the beaches are in trouble. Basically, these are concrete platforms, ledges descending to the water, and on them sunbeds with umbrellas are free, because they belong to the hotel. About 200 meters away there are city sandy beaches, but these are also coves, so there is little space, and a lot of people - we went there only in the early mornings. In general, I liked to go into the water from our hotel from the cliff. And due to the fact that Palminsky Bay strongly protrudes into the shore, there is no latitude and infinity inherent in the sea - from your shore you see the opposite. But the indented coastline provides opportunities for yachting - be sure to charter a yacht, at least for a day! You will see the island from the sea, and this is a completely different feeling. Although the sensations there are unforgettable everywhere, for example, the serpentine Sa Calobra (Snake) on the way from the monastery of Llucc to Torrente el Paradise (Gate to Paradise).
In general, try to visit as much as possible in Mallorca, and your vacation will be bright and memorable. In the north of the island, in Formentor and Can Picafort, there are good opportunities for surfing, as the breeze creates constant waves, and the beaches there are sandy and long.
