The hotel is located in a cozy corner of old Odessa, on Kanatnaya street. The building was built in 1909-1910. designed by architect M.I. Linetsky in the Art Nouveau style and is an architectural monument. Guests of the hotel can walk to Deribasovskaya, Primorsky Boulevard, the sea station, the port, the Opera and Ballet Theater and the railway station in 15-20 minutes on foot. The hotel is suitable for everyone who chooses a beach and sightseeing holiday, as well as for business trips.More →

A normal hotel, the rooms are, of course, full of sovdep, repairs are only in the bathrooms, the wallpaper in the room is only re-pasted, the windows are old, wooden. Single beds are very narrow, you can fall off inadvertently. Breakfast buffet is included in the room rate, but it's hard to call it food, meat pies the size of a child's little finger))) salad (there was only one) missing, only instant coffee, grain for money. … More ▾ A normal hotel, the rooms are, of course, full of sovdep, repairs are only in the bathrooms, the wallpaper in the room is only re-pasted, the windows are old, wooden. They will also prepare an omelet for you, but there is more fat than eggs... in short, there is obviously some kind of trouble with the cook... Another point is the fire alarm. For the period of my stay in the hotel, the batteries ran down in the structure and every 5 seconds this alarm made a terrible sound. I decided to call the reception, because it was impossible to endure. But... my phone did not work - there was just silence in the receiver. Then I called from my mobile, at the reception they said that they knew about the problem and were solving it. All three days of my stay in this hotel solved the problem of replacing the battery. so they did nothing....I don’t know, somehow I didn’t like this hotel. Can't recommend.

Last summer we went to rest with friends in Odessa. After a long exhausting journey, we faced a difficult choice of a hotel. Of course, I wanted something simpler and cheaper. We went around several hotels, but the options didn’t suit us, somewhere there were “bugs” in addition to a high price, somewhere there were normal conditions, but with an unrealistic price. And then we came across the Okyabrskaya Hotel. We liked the value for money, and the location is in a picturesque place.

On this our visit to Odessa, it was somehow tight with places in hotels. We arrived in the city at about 5 o'clock in the morning, the apartment office at the station was not yet working, and armed with a map, we cheerfully set off in search of hotels... We reached the Oktyabrskaya Hotel by 9 o'clock, exhausted and almost losing hope for settlement. Since in all the hotels where we went there were no places... The only exception was, perhaps, "Passage", which offered a choice of rooms "with a washbasin but without hot water" or "without a washbasin and without hot water". We were with a child (seventeen years old). Therefore, the availability of hot water was critical for us. At the time of our arrival, there were also no places in Oktyabrskaya, however, we were lucky. Because at 11 o'clock the rooms were released. We were kindly offered to leave our luggage at the hotel (free of charge) and take a walk for “a couple of hours”, which we, of course, did.
"Hotel" Oktyabrskaya "is located on the street. Kanatnaya, 31, a 10-15-minute walk from Shevchenko Park, through this park you can go to the Lanzheron beach. While waiting for the release of the room, we, of course, went to the beach. To be honest, before this trip, I had never visited Odessa beaches, moreover, I had heard about their low "quality". Therefore, "Langeron" pleasantly surprised with white fine sand and spaciousness; the sea is clean, without algae, the water is clear, there are many changing rooms on the beach. Moderately clean for a free beach, in addition, cleaners are constantly walking and emptying trash cans. We bathed, dried ourselves - back to the hotel; The room was prepared for our arrival.
There are no triple rooms in Oktyabrskaya, so we were offered a suite with a sofa bed. “Lux” is a large spacious room, 30 meters, no less, high ceilings, a large window, formally there is a balcony (you can’t go to it), there is an “entrance hall” (that is, you don’t get into the room right away, but through the corridor). In the room, in the "entrance hall": a refrigerator-"mini-bar" (prices in the "mini-bar" are acceptable, 1-2 hryvnias higher than in the shops ), a spacious wardrobe, a hanger for outerwear. In the room: two beds, two bedside tables, a folding sofa (prudently spread out for our arrival), an easy chair, a coffee table, a dressing table secretary, a clothes hanger, air conditioning, and, of course, a TV - 75 cable channels (the child was happy  ). Even in the room there was either a “chest of drawers” or a “buffet” - it contained a set of plates, cups, glasses, piles, spoons and forks for two persons. The flyer for the hotel claimed to have free WiFi in the room, but we didn't check it . The bathroom is also quite spacious, in addition to the usual "gentleman's set" (toilet - shower / bath - washbasin) there was a bidet in the bathroom (as for me, it would be better to get a hairdryer; )). In general, everything is very worthy and everyone liked it . Although there were also disadvantages... More precisely, one disadvantage - the window of the room overlooked the street. And Kanatnaya Street, which seems quiet during the day, turns into a high-speed highway at night, along which loaded trucks pass at intervals of three minutes, so that at night you had to wake up because of the noise. The rooms were cleaned every day, there is a maid on duty on each floor, next to the maid's table there is an electric kettle and a bottle of drinking water—any guest can make coffee or tea in the evening. There is a place for ironing with a neat ironing board and a serviceable iron.
In general, a special atmosphere reigns in Oktyabrskaya: neat, friendly maids, a smiling reception, a friendly but strict security guard at the entrance, stairs and columns a la marble and red carpets - this is probably what first-class hotels of the “epoch of underdeveloped socialism” looked like...
That's what I liked least about the hotel, so it's a cafe. I do not mean food, but decorative design - “scoop” - “scoop”, and, moreover, rather dilapidated. A small cosmetic repair to this point of "public catering" will definitely not hurt .
Breakfasts - buffet. Of course, everything is not as beautiful as abroad, but, in principle, everything is fine. Salads seemed completely inedible to me, but I liked it hot - you can order it in three options: an omelet with mushrooms, an omelette with bacon, or sausages with a side dish. Prepare directly for you, what you ordered .
In general, I liked the hotel, although it cannot be called cheap, but the level of service in it is quite high. Would love to stay there again if finances allow ; ).
