We rented a Citroen C1 car at an agency located to the left of the hotel, and my husband presented his driver's license (red book), issued back in Soviet times, and there were no questions! Although I don’t know, maybe questions would have arisen when meeting with the police.... but we got through! We went to Chania, walked along the Venetian harbor, and then to the Devil's Harbor. located 20 km east of Chania, along the mountain serpentines, there is indescribable beauty, a truly magical place, in Rethymnon - a colorful Greek town with a beautiful promenade and, of course, on Santorini (the tour was taken at a local travel agency located in Panormo (aitidis_artoriks@mail . ru), punctually brought, put on the ferry, met - taken to the hotel. Ah, Santorini! You can write and write about it, but it's better to see and remember it for life! And I also liked the village of Bali, very cozy and cute. They settled - I would say lightning fast, though they didn’t offer fresh juices, as they wrote here. it was probably night (during the day I saw they gave out still wet towels / napkins for hands), but on the other hand they drove to the room in a golf car, they didn’t even let them touch the bags, they brought it in, put it down, they didn’t ask for a tip.
The restaurant, the dishes are good, there is both meat and fish and poultry, grill, vegetables, fruits, in general, they gained a couple of kilograms There are a lot of servants in the restaurant, everything ordered is brought at lightning speed, they arrange a festive dinner every 15 days, the Hotelevsky menagers come. From time to time, all sorts of drinks were offered near the entrance to the restaurant. The music is playing live. Yes, by the way, do not forget evening dresses and trousers with a shirt, 70 percent go out to dinner just like that, but no one will pay much attention in Swede, but they definitely won’t let you in shorts.
The pools are excellent, there are actually 38 of them in the hotel, but some are designed for one room, some for several, it all depends on the category of the room you have chosen. In general, one is purely for children, with fresh water, slides for entertainment, etc. Big - sea water, nearby is a paddling pool for kids, in general, it’s convenient and you bathe yourself and watch the kinder. There is also one medium one, also with salt water. In general, the water is clean, lukewarm - what you need, there were enough sunbeds for everyone. Regarding towels, when you check in, you are given cards for all arrivals, which you exchange near the pool for towels, and when you leave, you can change them for new ones as much as your conscience allows, at least every half hour.
The beach - here is a small mistake, it is artificial but covered with sand, it turns out that the land where the water does not reach and the bulk of the sunbeds are on the squeak, but the entrance to the sea and the bottom of the sand has already been washed out - rocky is not very pleasant, but if in shoes, then there are no problems at all. There is also a bridge and stairs from the pier to the sea, you can also swim very well.
Surroundings - the nearest village of Panormo (3.5 KM), there is a train going there starting from 14.30 (well, like a train, imitation on wheels). Nice village, nice, with the right restaurants (tasty and relatively inexpensive, at least compared to Heraklion and Chania). At 22 KM there is the city of Rethymno, regular buses go there from a neighboring hotel. In general, there is something to see, but in order to get the most out of it and save money on excursions, I advise you to rent a car.
