In order not to waste a precious day on the move, I combined the transfer with an excursion. This is how we always recommend tourists – it is not only more convenient, but also cheaper! Therefore, I went on the tour "Jerusalem of 3 religions" with all my things.
The tour was very interesting. The guide - Leonid Kapitansky - is beyond praise! After the tour, I was driven right to the entrance to the hotel. It was around 5pm. . .
The Lev Yerushalaim Hotel enjoys a great location next to Ben Yehuda Walking Street. This is the very center of Modern Jerusalem - that's why it is called Lev Yerushalaim, which means "Heart of Jerusalem" in Russian.
In the neighborhood of the hotel there are many cafes and shops. Literally 15-20 minutes to the Old City and the Jaffa Gate and about the same to the authentic Mahane Yehuda market.
The hotel is awesome. One hundred percent value for money! The rooms are all suites. I had a standard two-room suite, very comfortable. A bedroom with a large bed and a wardrobe, and a living room with a sofa (which folds out if there are three tourists), a TV and a kitchenette. The room also has an LCD TV, hairdryer, refrigerator, microwave. The bathroom has a full bath. Every day the room is cleaned, towels are changed. At the reception every time I met Russian-speaking employees. Very kind and kind people!
Internet in the hotel is paid. A day costs, if my memory serves me, about $12. You have to pay at the reception. After payment, they issue a check with a personal password and login. Two or more people cannot use the Internet at the same time, this is extremely inconvenient.
Meals I had only breakfast. Everything is very tasty and fresh. Yogurt, cereals, fruits, pastries, salads, cheeses, fish. Standard kosher breakfast.
A lot of religious Jews stay at Lev Yerushalaim Hotel. I liked watching large families with many children. They all communicate very nicely with each other, but they are loud: ) Children sing, squeal, run. Their parents let them do everything, that's how it is with them.
I can recommend Lev Yerushalaim Hotel to all tourists who do not claim 4 *. This is 3 *, I even think that with a plus! The location is beyond praise, literally everything is nearby, as I already wrote. In addition, the hotel will be convenient for families or companies of 3 or more people. Having a kitchenette allows you to decently save on lunches and dinners!

It was our first trip abroad. There was a story about the tour operator and very little about the hotel. I decided to leave the story - maybe someone will come in handy, but add about the hotel.
As I understand it, the hotel was created as a 4 * 25 years ago, and now it has been transferred to 3 *, which has significantly improved the price-quality ratio. Well located - a little far from the old city (15 minutes on foot), but the market - 5 minutes, the bus station - 10 minutes, well, the suites (that is, the bedroom and the entrance hall in front of it. it is the kitchen, it is the dining room, it is the hall - 14 square meters (in our room at least. We immediately turned into a 2-room suite - one tourist in the dining room on the sofa (with TV), the second in the bedroom - with a safe. I liked the hotel - if you have questions - write. Now the promised story : .
. . . I was going to buy a tour and almost ran into the negligence of the tour operator. I got on the Internet well and studied the flight schedule and the availability of tickets on the site - since the flights are different - at a convenient and inconvenient time, I saw that there is such a service - specifying the flight and it cost 25 euros. When there were not enough tickets, I decided to pay, since it is more expensive for myself to fly out of the host country at 0-55 than at 15-00 (after all, you practically leave a day earlier). Moreover, it was the first time flying and much was not clear. At the office, I was also not warned about this until I asked for clarification myself. The impression of the tour operator's company was not bad, except for this moment and the work (negligent, and so it will do) of the company meeting at the airport. Well, since
there, a quarter of our former people, and the fact that they did not call, as promised, ("Do not leave
from the room - we’ll call you back in an hour and a half), they didn’t escort you to the hotel (“Your hotel is over there - it’s not convenient to drive up”) and they didn’t warn that the minibus would arrive an hour earlier (hotel-airport transfer) - we regarded this as the remnants of our Russian maybe. Special thanks, a big thank you from the fellow traveler and from myself personally to the hotel employee Ilya Yakubov, who speaks excellent Russian and is very attentive to the guests, thanks to which all our problems were resolved and a wonderful impression of the trip was left. I hope that the staff of the tour operator and the hotel read the comments and find the opportunity to convey our gratitude for the reception to the hotel Lev Yerushalayim.
The case, as you understand, was in Israel, I did not expect this from the host (responsible for the transfer), but it turns out not only here, how can I put it better. . .
In general, the hotel is very good (if you consider that 3 * - there were minor comments on the equipment), the kitchen is good, and spring Jerusalem is just fine.

Everything in the bathroom is very old, the furniture is shabby. There is not enough food for breakfast for everyone and it is tasteless. You have to be the earliest to get anything. The attitude towards Russians is disgusting. My family was simply bullied by the employees of this institution. We booked a family room online. When they entered the room, they were horrified - the room was 2 by 2 meters. A small window. There is nothing to breathe, and we are 2 adults and 2 children. Our request to change our room was denied. … More ▾ The attitude towards Russians is disgusting. My family was simply bullied by the employees of this institution. We booked a family room online. When they entered the room, they were horrified - the room was 2 by 2 meters. A small window. There is nothing to breathe, and we are 2 adults and 2 children. Our request to change our room was denied. When I became indignant, I was told: "Call your lawyer and go to court. " In addition, they threatened the police. For breakfast, there were leftovers from people who had breakfasted earlier. There was absolutely nothing to eat except tea and coffee. No cheese, no cottage cheese, no dairy. Smeared on a plate of tuna and cores of tomatoes and cucumbers! Dear Russian-speaking tourists! If you want to be humiliated, live in a cage for decent money - (244 dollars a day), have breakfast with leftovers under the mocking glances and remarks of the attendants along with the administration - you are right in Levi yet, to the Old City at least 1 hour walk or more, and not 30 minutes, as scheduled on the Internet! All lies! My family and I have been traveling for many years, visited many countries, but this is the first time we have met such a vile boarding house like a "ship's cockpit" and a boorish attitude on the part of the administration!

We were in the hotel for 2 days, the impressions are terrible, it is very similar to a prison, there is an unbearable stench, the carpet in the corridor and rooms is dirty, the towels in the bathroom are torn, it’s good that they had their own, otherwise they would have gone wet. not squeamish people, there is nothing but eggs and rolls. … More ▾ We were in the hotel for 2 days, the impressions are terrible, it is very similar to a prison, there is an unbearable stench, the carpet in the corridor and rooms is dirty, the towels in the bathroom are torn, it’s good that they had their own, otherwise they would have gone wet. not squeamish people, there is nothing but eggs and rolls. We went to this hotel for the first time in Israel: An excellent hotel, though if you close your eyes to the fact that it has not been renovated for a long time. The description says that it was recently renovated, but my wife and I lived there at the end of February 2011 and there was no renovation. Otherwise, everything is just super: Good geographical location (compared to Moscow, the hotel is located in the Arbat area) excellent view from the windows, close to the old town, city market and bus station, friendly staff, daily cleaning, Russian-speaking employees excellent view, nearby supermarket and Russian grocery store. … More ▾ We went to this hotel for the first time in Israel: An excellent hotel, though if you close your eyes to the fact that it has not been renovated for a long time. Large two-room suites, I would even call them small two-room apartments, and most importantly, there is a kitchen. Given that in Israel, and especially in Jerusalem, food is very expensive and not very diverse, having your own kitchen in your room is just a salvation. We went to the market, bought food and cooked for ourselves, though we had to buy a saucepan and disposable utensils, because it’s cheaper to buy and leave everything there than to rent it in a hotel. So, I recommend.
