More about Venice
I was in Venice with my husband, rode a vaporetto without tickets, received fines, which were written out on passports. I paid my fine online, my husband does not want, they say, these controllers are from a private company and nothing will happen. Maybe someone knows what it is fraught with in the future when entering the EU?

What if there is no other suitcase? Carry it all the time? Or is it not true and there will be no problems with suitcases?

I will be in Venice for 2 days. I will most likely live on the Lido. I have questions about vaporetto: 1 until what time do the vaporettos run between Lido and Piazza San Marco? 2 Is the ticket valid for this route for 24/48 hours?

Dear travelers! Share your experience of traveling to Venice in March. The trip is scheduled from March 19 for 4 days. Take rubber boots or leave at home? Do you think San Marco will be flooded? Thanks for attention.

Good afternoon! You need an outlet or some inexpensive shops / shopping centers to buy Italian gizmos - shoes, bags, business clothes. I must say right away, Gucci, Kleins are not very interested, more interesting are +/- mass brands, but made in Italy (leather). Advise whether to go to Milan? I'm not very good at shopping, but my husband wants to go shopping and so does my girlfriend. Thanks

Good afternoon! There are several questions about Venice. 1. Are there direct buses from the Treviso airport to Venice (Piazza Roma)? So without transfers? You need to know the price and time (we arrive early in the morning). 2. Is there a left-luggage office for luggage at the Venice railway station, so that it can be left for 4-5 hours? 3. Supermarkets in Venice (Billa, Kup, etc.) - are the prices, selection and store areas normal? Not much worse than shops on the mainland? We kind of get the closest Coop. 4. Is it possible to travel on foot (enough bridges)? 5. Which islands in Venice do you recommend sailing to? October. Thank you very much for your advice!

And not the so-called. "water cruise" with a crowd of tourists on a regular boat. We are going to Venice, everyone really wants to ride along the canals in a gondola. The Accord tour (with which we are traveling) offers this pleasure for 26 euros per person. I heard that the cost is actually fixed (about 90 euros), and does not depend on the number of passengers. How many people fit on the gondola? Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hello. In October I will be in Venice for the first time. Day 4, it seems. Experienced, tell me what are the interesting and untwisted historical places in Venice and the immediate surroundings that are worth visiting. I will say right away that we won’t go far, like there to Milan or on the island of Garda or there to Verona. Something closer, more local, I'm not chasing world attractions. I love undiscovered places. Just beautiful towns. What to visit? Perhaps there are some convenient options for getting to such towns from Mestre, since we will be using public transport, I’m not used to it))) Maybe there are some extraordinary routes in Venice, such as the catacombs near Odessa, Paris or the UFO restaurant in Bratislava. Any tours underwater, in basements? And then 4 days...

Friends, please advise - a trip at the end of October. I arrive in Venice on Mon, fly out of Milan on Sat in the evening. I am planning this itinerary: 2 days - Venice Day 1 - Verona, overnight on Lake Garda Day 1 - Bergamo, overnight in Milan 1 day - Turin and the last day - Milan (I'm leaving in the evening). I think it's too saturated. Or just good? Is it possible to get there by public transport or without a car? Thank you in advance :)

Can you please tell me what the weather can be like in Venice in February. I really want to see the carnival with my own eyes, warnings about flooding and crushing stop. Who has been, please share your experience. Probably there are reviews of trips of this type, please give links, I would like to read live essays, and not copied texts of travel agencies. I will be grateful for your help.

Hello dear travelers. We had a wedding in September, but there was no honeymoon yet ... I'm just delusional about a trip to Venice for Carnival 2013, I plan to get there by the opening on February 3rd. There is almost no experience in travel (Turkey, Egypt), and independent travel even more so. Now I am actively collecting information, but I understand that tickets and hotels are becoming more expensive not by the day, but by the hour. Tell me, please, is it more convenient and cheaper to arrange everything yourself or take a tour package? Will there be any problems with the visa? My action plan: 1. Buy tickets. I still have a foreigner on the exchange, can I do without it? 2. Book a hotel. This is the main ... Advise where it is better to live in Mestre near the station or in Venice near the station? It is clear that the difference in price is 2 times, but will we roll this difference when traveling from Mestre

Preference: no overnight travel, overnight stays in hotels, BB meals, minimum number of countries visited, longer stays in Italy (Rome, Florence, Vatican, Naples)
