The spring with the romantic name Blue Eye is located between the mountains of Saranda and Gjirokastra. It got its name due to the incredible color of the water - dark blue in the center, and bright blue along the edges.
The water temperature in the spring is +13 degrees all year round, and the depth of the spring is still not exactly known. The maximum depth to which the divers managed to dive is 45 meters.
There is a cozy restaurant on the shore of the reservoir. Here you can taste traditional Albanian cuisine - rakia, grilled vegetables and fish,

One of the unique natural sources.
We visited the Blue Eye together with an excursion to Gjirokastra (does not make sense separately). From the depths, under great pressure, cold water of unusual blue is carried out. There were extreme people who jumped into this abyss from where the water pushed them out.→

Very romantic place
The beauty of water is simply unreal! We even decided to swim in the lake later, however, we warmed ourselves with hot coffee in a cafe on the water. The water is really very cold. Feels like 10-11 degrees.→
