Fisherman's Bastion is located on a high hill in the historic center of Buda, north of Buda Castle. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The bastion of white stone has never performed defensive functions, and got its name thanks to the fish market that was located here in the Middle Ages. It attracts many tourists with its beautiful galleries, passages and wonderful views of the city from here.

Magnificent building
Although the Fisherman's Bastion was conceived as an architectural background for the Matthias Church, as for me, this is a self-sufficient structure, very beautiful, with conical towers, with arcades and balustrades. The Fisherman's Bastion offers a magnificent view of the Danube and Pest.→

Visiting a fairy tale :)
This fabulous monument to the brave fishermen's guild can be reached in two ways - by funicular or by stairs. In fact, this place is not at all intended for fishing, but for a leisurely sightseeing walk - yes: ) It's just that they used to sell fish here, but now they sell lively sellers of souvenir shops. When you are inside, you feel as if you are in the scenery from your favorite children's fairy tale, and besides, you can go here absolutely free of charge!→
