One of the most popular attractions in Stone Town is the house where Freddie Mercury, the British singer and vocalist of Queen, was born. Few people know that the famous author and performer of world-famous musical compositions was born in Zanzibar and lived here for up to 5 years. Freddie's distant relatives still live in this house.

Waiting for a miracle...

Having chosen an excursion to Stone Town, we dreamed of touching the history of a world-class star! we were expecting a miracle, and then...sadness, a narrow street, a bunch of annoying merchants, and an ordinary door with a photo of Freddie. To take a photo, you have to wait in line. For show, they noted, they took a photo, but the miracle never happened.→

Iconic place for fans of Freddie Mercury and Queen

A place in Zanzibar that Freddie fans must visit. This is an opportunity to touch, get closer to the life of a world legend. The facade of the building is decorated with photographs of Freddie Mercury and Queen. At the entrance is a massive beautiful door in the Zanzibar style. We did not manage to visit the apartment itself in which the legendary performer was born and lived, since his distant relatives still live in this house. BUT! Those who wish to touch the life of the legend very close can stay at the hotel, which is located in this house.→
