We always plan our vacation in advance, carefully choose the country and the hotel. We give preference to distant exotic countries, leaving the neighbors "for later" - for unplanned low-budget trips. A tour to Turkey "drew" spontaneously - when choosing a country and a hotel for the May holidays, the decisive role was played by the "anti-crisis price" offered by the tour operator. Reviews of this hotel were read later and we tensed up a little, setting ourselves up in advance to overcome the hardships and hardships of the Turkish holiday, and in spite of everything, still enjoy the trip.
Behind us is an unusually short flight, and now we are in Turkey. Immediately impressive is the huge number of tourists from the CIS at the Antalya airport and the giant queues to the windows for visas. Visas are bought and pasted, passport control is passed, we are met by an employee of Anekstura with a sign and shows us where to go next. We leave the airport building, and again we are surprised - in front of the exit there are about two dozen something like mini-reception desks with inscriptions of travel agencies, behind the reception desks - employees in the uniform of these agencies. It reminded us of advertising racks in supermarkets : ))) But instead of offering to try the advertised product, girls in uniform mark the arriving tourists in a magazine, tear off 1/3 of the tour voucher and give the number of the bus we need to go to. Just some kind of processing conveyor for those who want to relax in Turkey. On the bus on the way to the hotel, the guide gives brief information about the country, names the hotel guides and the time of meeting with them, and also informs that the bus driver can pay 1 dollar. buy two bottles of drinking water of 0.5 liters.
An hour and a half from the airport and we are at the hotel. When settling in, we did not avoid the usual misunderstandings for this hotel - instead of the booked standard room +ex. bed, we were offered to stay in a bungalow for one night, they say tomorrow there will be a big crossing and the rooms will be vacated. As compensation for temporary inconvenience, they promised a two-room Superior room and free use of a safe. The promise was kept.

They say: It's clean not where they clean, but where they don't litter. So, this phrase is very suitable for this hotel. Is the hotel staff to blame for having such guests?
But, we can say that we were lucky. We rested from 05/03/09 to 05/10/09 - the beginning of the season and there were few vacationers, so any inconsistencies were minimal. In general, the contingent is resting there..... , still THAT. But since THIS contingent hangs out mainly near the pool and bar, and we prefer the sea, then we encountered IT to a minimum.
The water in the sea was somewhere around 18-19 degrees. Where it's shallow, it's warmer. Everyone who preferred the beach to the pool swam with pleasure. There were tourists from the Volga, so they were generally delighted : )))) for them it is fresh milk. By the way, in the pool, according to my feelings - not warmer.
The hotel area is beautiful, large - like a landscaped park. Lots of coniferous trees. In the heat, it should be cool under them.
There is no beach as such. There is a pier on which there is a bar, umbrellas, sun loungers, steps into the sea. There are very beautiful rocks of volcanic origin nearby (you need special shoes for corals - then you can climb them). From the pier you can watch the fish (something like a herring). We fed them bread. To the pier, go down the stairs from the main pool of the hotel for about three minutes.
If you want a beach - you can leave the hotel and go along the road to the left (15 min. ) By the way, there is a very beautiful place if you climb along the seashore into the forest on the rocks.

The food at the hotel is good and quite varied. They have a new chef this year. A lot of greens, vegetables (fresh, stewed); cottage cheese with various seasonings (sesame, dill) and without; several varieties of cheese, sausages. Omelet, boiled eggs. Yoghurts, figs, raisins, jams. Meat is also presented quite diversely. Several types of olives and olives. Yes, you can't list them all. Good baking. We had ice cream several times for dinner - very tasty. For some reason they make pancakes for dinner. Of the fruits, there were two types of apples, oranges and some local fruits (like small yellow pears) - sour, pleasant in taste.
In general, for me, as I travel to different countries and hotels, this cuisine was the most suitable, I could eat everything. Not spicy, not sour, with the taste familiar to us Slavs : ))).
The hotel staff is friendly, poorly trained, but does everything in its power to make customers happy. Several times there were some inconsistencies, but against the general background, this is all hidden and lost.
In general, this hotel is very good. You can ride. Especially if you get an inexpensive tour and so that the beginning of the season - and there are fewer people and the staff is not yet irritated by insane tourists : ))))))
We went on excursions:
- in Pamukkale for 1 day - 65 dollars. - I liked it very much, but there was little time for sightseeing - not everyone had time to see it - but they are brought to three stores with "fantastic prices" - carpets, onyx, textiles: ((((. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included in the price of the tour. Before dinner - advertising tasting of Turkish wines in the cellar at the restaurant. They offer to buy tasted wines, lukkum, olive oil, olive soap. Prices are again "more TE". This is already the fourth store.

- to Alanya - 40 dollars. - Damlatash cave (such a small cave, our caves in Crimea are 1000 times more beautiful, but for the general development it is interesting to see), a boat trip around the cape of the city for about 50 minutes, a meager lunch in a restaurant by a mountain river (they offered a choice of something then one thing - either fish, or cutlets, or chicken kebab - a plate of rice, a plate of salad, a piece of pita bread) - the city is very beautiful, but such an excursion is not worth that kind of money. Especially when you consider that there was a guide from Anekstur who, well, didn’t speak Russian very well and they wanted to deprive us of a trip on a yacht, which was actually the highlight of the program, under the pretext of yesterday’s bad weather forecast, but the group rebelled and insisted on a yacht, threatening refusal of such an excursion and the requirement to return the money.
It is better to get to Alanya by dolmush, take a walk there (there is something to see) and return by taxi. Taxi from the hotel to Alanya - about 40 dollars. Dolmush - about 7tur. lir. Entrance to the territory of the fortress (where we were not taken) - 10 tur. lir. An hour walk from the Alanya embankment on a small boat with a visit to all the caves - 5 euros. And they showed us from afar.
Returning from an excursion to Alanya, we wrote a claim to Anekstur - we were offered a 50% discount on any other excursion, except for those related to the flight, as compensation. Since our flight was the next day, we took a receipt from the representative of the travel agency that we would be given such a discount for three during 2009-2010. It will be interesting to see if they keep their promise : )))))))
Summary: Our first impression turned out to be correct. The tourism business in Turkey is a well-oiled, soulless assembly line. The country is very beautiful, there is something to see, but I am closer to those countries where tourists are not yet tired and where they are sincerely welcome.
