The purpose of this review is to give you the most detailed and realistic information about the hotel itself, the village of Torba, where it is located, the nearby city of Bodrum and some other features of Turkish tourism. The flight from Borispol airport (Kyiv) to Bodrum airport took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Turkey is in the same time zone with Ukraine, so there was no need to change the clock. A Turkish visa costs $30 and is purchased at the airport in Turkey (not included in the tour price). At the airport, we were met by representatives of the Tez-tour company and delivered to our hotel in a comfortable bus within 40 minutes. On the way, the tour guide told me that it is better not to use minibuses (dolmush) in Borum because of the large crowd and lack of air conditioning. This is a complete lie. Dolmush is a comfortable minibus, usually half empty. The fare from Torba to Bodrum is 2.75 Turkish lira (at the time of writing, $ 2).
Also, the guide managed to talk about the advantages of excursions from the mez-tour compared to local competitors. This is also a lie - excursions of the mez-tour are exactly 2 times more expensive.
About the hotel itself Clud Aqua. Of all the staff, only the wife of the owner of the hotel understands Russian. The manager, bartender and individual receptionists understand certain words and phrases in English. With the rest of the Turks will have to communicate in sign language. At the same time, the staff is extremely helpful, so the broken shower in the room was replaced within 3 minutes, also a specially trained person helped to rearrange the umbrellas by the pool, and the Turks were the company when playing volleyball. Although there were blunders - the ordered lunch box (dry ration) for the tour was lost somewhere. We also could not get the key to the safe in our room until the end of our tour. On a five-point scale, I rate the quality of service at 3.5.
The hotel area is small. In addition to the buildings, there is a swimming pool with a slide, a volleyball court, a small olive grove (5 olives) and two restaurants (there is nowhere to walk around). Grade 3.
We lived in a standard room. The room is very small, half of its area is occupied by a double bed (with a good orthopedic mattress), there are also a couple of bedside tables, wardrobe, toilet and shower, air conditioning. There is also a TV, several channels, but all Turkish and the quality is terrible. The room was obviously renovated a long time ago. Rooms are cleaned daily after breakfast. My rating is number 3.

Four meals a day. Three buffet meals + snack with biscuits. The buffet had a variety of salads and olives in abundance, as well as side dishes. Among fruits, watermelons and melons prevailed daily. Obviously, only meat and fish were lacking. So we ate bony chicken only 2 times, as well as obviously lousy fish (in Turkey, there are generally problems with meat - it is expensive). But the quantity of food overshadowed the quality - they ate from the belly. We liked. In unlimited quantities, there were also such drinks as water from the cooler, coffee, coffee with milk, tea, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, gin and tonic, local wines, local vodka, Efes beer. I rate the food 4 stars.
The beach is located 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The beach is lousy! 5 broken dirty sun loungers, 2 dirty umbrellas that never open, all this under a rusty blank fence that encloses the ruins of some monastery, which has been restored for 10 years already. The pebbles on the beach are sharp and it really hurts to enter the water. In short, the beach is depressing. I will rate it a solid 1. But there is a way out! At 20 meters from it there is a good beach of another hotel with good pebbles and palm trees. There we enjoyed the Aegean Sea. By the way, the flora and fauna of the Aegean Sea is extremely poor and unprepossessing, so snorkellers are definitely not here, even despite the clear sea water.

Entertainment and services. In addition to the pool with a slide that runs for 2 hours 2 times a day, you can entertain yourself by playing darts, volleyball (although the ball is broken), dominoes and checkers. In general, table tennis, fitness room, etc. there is no. Wi-fi works intermittently and there is a good signal only at the reception. In short entertainment and services 2.
Tours. The excursion program from the Tez-tour is not worth using, it is 2 times more expensive. We went to Bodrum and there, not far from the bus station near the currency exchange office on Garage Street, we found the travel agency Director tour. Here Russian-speaking tourists were served by a Kazakh woman Olga, the prices for tours were quite reasonable and we liked everything. I recommend the Aegean Islands Yacht Tour for $15 (lasts 6 hours) includes 5 swimming stops and lunch, drinks are paid separately and are expensive, so stock up on water on the shore.

We also visited Pamukkale for $40 per person. The guide for the Russian-speaking group was Moldavian Alena. A comfortable bus picked us up from our hotel. The one-way trip took 4 hours, we spent only 2 hours in Pamukkale itself. Wish there was more, but we liked it. The tour also includes lunch and a visit to a carpet factory. I advise you to go. But it is better, if you have money, to go for two days along the route of Pamukkale and Ephesus with an overnight stay in a hotel - it costs $ 80, then you have more time to see everything.
In addition, for each excursion we received a free visit to the Turkish bath (Hamam), but few people came out of there without using a single paid service, although it’s worth going - interesting. There are many interesting things in Bodrum itself. Previously, it was called Halicarnassus and was the birthplace of the father of history, Herodotus, and also housed the 7th wonder of the world - the tomb of King Mausoleum (Mausoleum). Today, the main attraction of the city is the fortress of St. Peter (founded in 1402).

Be sure to visit. Entrance - 10 Turkish liras (7 dollars). Another interesting place is the ancient theater (admission is free).

There is also the gate of Myndos, but there is nothing to see there. Bodrum has a very picturesque promenade. All in all it's interesting!

We also recommend taking a walk around Torba. Climb up the mountains in front of the hotel for a great view!

It is also useful for a tourist to know that dollars are accepted everywhere in Turkey, so you can have lira in minimal quantities. There are also tip boxes everywhere, but we didn’t leave tips anywhere during our vacation and everything was ok!
Souvenirs that we bought in Bodrum: Turkish delight (we didn’t really like it), leather wallets (cheap, but stylish), apple tea in granules, glass tea cups on saucers (I haven’t seen such in Kyiv), olive soap! (take more for mothers, grandmothers - they will be happy), bookmarks for books with Turkish symbols and original key chains in the form of the patron saint of Bodrum, Priapus with a large...  .

Everything else is up to your taste and wealth, but do not buy right away - compare prices, bargain, so as not to be a fool in Durakmarket. This is a joke, but in fact - it's prices are not high.

So, despite the low level of the hotel, we made great friends there from Belarus and Russia and had a great time, mainly due to the many early read reviews of our predecessors. Considering the cost of the tour 470 dollars per person + 30 dollars for a visa + 150 dollars for excursions and souvenirs in Turkey, only 7 nights of our holiday cost us 650 USD. from a person. Those who are informed are armed!

Have a nice holiday!

Rested in this hotel in July 2011. To begin with, I was in many countries and in different hotels. I often visit Turkey, on the Aegean coast for the second time. I was in Marmaris that year at the Diana Club Hotel, also 3 *. Terrible hotel, service too. With three friends in one room, we paid 18.000 rubles for each. (I write this for comparison). And then my husband and I were going to fly for 3 days to rest, they called, and they tell us that 3 days are more expensive than 8, we decided to fly for 8 days. The choice was between Egypt and Turkey. This hotel cost us 22.000 rubles for 2, for 8 days, 7 nights, all inclusive. Offered and Egypt 4 * (Good hotel) For the same amount. Chose 3* Turkey at your own risk. We flew from Tez tour. We arrived at the hotel, we were not alone, we immediately got acquainted with the people. The hotel is small but cozy. The rooms are small, most without balconies. We got a balcony (did not pay extra). There is a pool and a slide. I liked the guide very much. Explained everything.
A very responsive boy. Many rooms were not satisfied, you can approach the guide and resolve this issue, they can change it without additional payment, for some reason, of course. And if you know English well, then you can do it yourself. . The staff itself is very helpful and very kind. The pool was always cleaned and ashtrays and glasses. And the restaurant always tried to clean up the plates on time. The receptionist made me laugh, of course (I just hadn't seen this before). Don't worry, everything is fine. The food is what can be in 3* hotels in Turui. The food is not enough, but it didn’t scare me, my friends and I went to Bodrum and Torba to a restaurant (sometimes). I was surprised that there were a lot of fruits (there was a melon, watermelon, cherry, plum, peaches). The only thing that killed me was the beach. Sunbeds are broken, large stones in the sea, pebble beach. But if you turn to the beach itself earlier than expected, it will be fine there, you can lie on your towels on any beach, from any hotel.
The hotel does not provide pool towels! Take your own or from the room. I'll tell you a secret on the way to the sea, you will meet a 4 * hotel. Everyone goes there without bracelets, take off the bracelet (It stretches, you don’t have to tear it) and go into the impudent place, you can eat and drink for free, they won’t tell you anything, we went there for animation. Cool. We really didn’t drink or eat there, I can’t do that, but whoever is bolder so go ahead. Many of us have done this. A minibus runs from the hotel to Bodrum, it costs $ 2 per person one way, a minibus arrives at the bus station, there is also a market, it works only on Tuesdays, we didn’t get to it. And so on the way to the sea, there will be a bunch of shops. Compared to our prices, it's not expensive, but compared to Marmaris or the Mediterranean coast, it's expensive. Bodrum is considered a more European city, prices are European. Who wants to buy good shoes, go to Oasis mall, prices are not cheap,
but cheaper than ours and the quality is good. In conclusion. Price and quality!! ! And people always be objective. (and not like that they will come from 4 * to 3 *, for such an amount they yell how bad everything is) I can say one thing, the company we had was SUPER!! ! and rest is the same! . A lot depends on the company. Relax and have fun!!! ! Good luck.
P. S It will be boring for young girls, although there were a lot of girls. They went somewhere to the disco. If you want to walk and have fun, then you are in MARMARIS !!!! !

Good afternoon! Before the beginning of the story, I will make a reservation - I got to this hotel during my first trip abroad. and although this holiday was a level higher than the Crimean-Ukrainian, I'm still sure that the owners of the hotel should work on a lot and think about it. The price of the tour also helped not to find fault with the level of the hotel - $ 520 for two (including flights, transfers, insurance and even a sightseeing tour to Bodrum))). … More ▾ Good afternoon! Now, in order.
Territory and entertainment
The hotel area is quite cozy and green, but quite small, so I advise those who like to relax "without leaving the hotel" to find something else. Of all the paid and free entertainment listed in the description, we found only an excellent water slide. But most of the British and Turks, who make up the main contingent of holidaymakers here, still spend their holidays "drifting" during the day between the pool and the bar. By the pool - comfortable beds with mattresses, umbrellas, towels. For children there is a modest playground and many different inflatable and water toys. Sometimes the hotel hosts "Turkish nights".
Nutrition
On the first day of the buffet was not "due to the small number of tourists. " There were, indeed, 15 people, but why should we suffer if we paid for the buffet, and not for a half-hour (!!! ) waiting for a heavily peppered Turkish dish with soy meat ? ! The next morning, the food situation improved, the chefs still prepared a pretty decent selection of dishes. we can say that we were almost lucky in comparison with those who stopped by earlier). Conclusion: think thrice before going here in the first half of May. In the future, we had no complaints about food. Only breakfasts were striking with monotony and modesty - 2 types of cereal with milk, cheese, feta cheese, sausage, bread and butter, vegetables, jam... apparently, their cooks are clearly not larks))))))). Lunch and dinner are decent. From meat - chicken and soy. They also serve delicious fried fish. Lots of vegetable snacks, rice, spices. From fruit - only apples and oranges.
Rooms
The rooms are quite cramped and modest, but IMHO with everything you need (TV, safe, air conditioning). Cleaning daily. There are really few rooms with a balcony for 2 people (Standard room), we didn’t get it (((. Channels on TV are exclusively Turkish. There is no telephone in the rooms. The bathroom is excellent.
staff
Staff 50:50. . . the service in the restaurant is normal. But at the reception there are unpleasant individuals who strive to warm their hands on the exchange rate. (I had to change their dollars for lira with a serious shortfall in their favor, because there was no other choice, the lira was urgently needed). We also heard about cases of theft of personal items (clothes) from the rooms. There are no Russian speaking staff at all.
Beach. . . another story)
Seeing the "hotel beach", they did not believe their eyes - instead of the sand promised in the description - large pebbles, entry into the water is very inconvenient. But this is half the trouble. Slippers made of plastic covered with dust (15 pieces in total!!!! ), old straw umbrellas, a complete lack of service and staff, rubbish lying around, a rusty fence behind which the ruins of an old monastery under restoration are hidden... And all this against the backdrop of a beautiful mountain landscape, which is not in sight on the more well-groomed beaches of other hotels! From this place it would be possible to make a "candy" with a minimum of effort and money, but the administration did not even respond to requests to simply remove the garbage. For all the time, the hotel employee appeared there only 1 time, moved the tapchans and left... Until the last day, they wondered why everything was SO... but the answer came in the guise of... three policemen! ))) On the last day of our vacation, they showed up on the beach with questions about who allowed us to put tapchans here. When we said that this is the beach of our hotel, they explained that this territory is a conservation area of the same monastery under restoration, and those who fenced it off and use it as a beach face a serious fine... all umbrellas and tapchans disappeared in the same day. but it is unlikely that it will be possible to prove that the beach belongs to the Aqua Torba Club)))) it turns out that the hotel staff did not need to "shine" on "their own beach" and invest in it, so as not to be responsible later for the illegal use of the territory) . So the owners of the hotel have something to think about now)))) Bottom line: if you still decide to choose this hotel, be sure to ask the tour operator for information about the beach and its real photos (maybe they will come up with something new there in a short time) and be careful) . Good luck!
in conclusion, a few words about Torba itself. The village is very picturesque, green and, according to the people of Bodrum themselves, this, along with Yalikavak, is one of the best points for recreation in the vicinity of the city. There are great places for snorkelling. The water of Torba Bay is very clean, unlike the beaches of Bodrum itself. I recommend to everyone a trip on a yacht through the bays and islets of the Aegean Sea, which (like other excursions) is the cheapest to book at the tour desk next to the Hotel Voyage.
All houses in the village are not higher than 3 floors, made in the "Greek" style, typical for Bodrum and the surrounding area. On a very quiet embankment there are many cafes with quite reasonable prices. There are practically no discos, clubs and other entertainment in the evenings, but this shortcoming is redeemed by the fact that in 15 minutes on dolmushes that run here until 3 am, you can get to Bodrum. I will post pictures of "Aqua Torba" and the surrounding area in the near future)
