The only downside is the housekeeping is terrible!
Cleaning is normal, the cleaning lady, a nice woman, even adjusted to us. Thanks her.
In general, all the employees of the hotel try very hard, especially those who have been working there for years, but the reception is constantly changing. (
Previously, the hotel was famous for its restaurant, there were wonderful Turkish nights, with take-out of ice cream cake, etc. Now this is not the case, the restaurant has turned into a canteen with very simple, monotonous food. They began to save a lot, apparently to pay for the partial repair of the main building. ) But there are more fruits. No cakes, jelly, very rarely delicious cakes. All from the "you won't go hungry" series. Coffee disgusting has become from vending machines. Do not drink any cocktails, only pure drinks - raki, vodka, beer. The Germans drink it. I read in one review about poisoning in the hotel, I didn’t see it, but the fact that there was a commission at the hotel is for sure, they took samples from the pool.
This time there were 90% Germans in the hotel, the rest were Russian-Turkish-British...
The citizens of Germany are mostly people 60-65+, all the animation is tailored for them and the girls of the animator try very hard to entertain them, entertainment appropriate for the age of the vacationers. With our tourists, they simply do not know what to do. In general, the entire staff speaks German exclusively. Twice a week imported artists, other days bingo, karaoke, guess the melody, German folk dance songs. During the day, the pool music is almost Europe +. ) Boredom...
In the elevator, there is a schedule of the animation program. There is a mini disco for kids. It used to be. But this year there were almost no children. I would never bring my children here. In the morning you go out to the pool, and there grandparents, who are already unable to walk to the beach, have mercy, hug, kiss right in the pool. And now this unfortunate child stands with a circle and thinks how he could get in there ... into this pelvis of love.
The rest of the old men drink beer from 10 in the morning, by lunchtime the degrees rise, in the evening everything flows like water . . they smoke everything and everywhere. There is a children's pool - ankle-deep.
You come to the beach, and there European women under fifty change their swimsuit at the sun lounger (completely the entire swimsuit), at least they cover themselves with a towel. You turn in the other direction, and there is an unconventional family - he and he ... it is impossible to confuse.
The beach is beautiful, there is everything you need, everything is clean and beautiful.
I'm not a hypocrite, but the hotel administration should somehow take care of the behavior of some tourists within the framework of international rules of decency. Hang an announcement that shorts need to be changed in special. designated places, the pool is not for lovemaking, but for swimming ...) Or write directly on Booking - hotel16+, non-traditional families are accepted, we adhere to European rules of freedom of behavior.
And then the whole staff stands at attention around these Germans, they are afraid to say a word so that they don’t get a negative review and they endure everything that comes into their heads. The hotel must be managed, and not let everything take its course, if only there was a German tourist.
After this hotel we arrived at another one, there was a very mixed composition of vacationers from Jewish-Arabs to Russians-Germans-Czechs-Slovaks-French .... Everything is very worthy, it was not even close. And everyone was happy with each other.
For me, now the hotel is at the level of "German Tagil".
4 stars for old friendship. The level of the hotel is very high, do not overpay.
Minuses:
- room cleaning is HORRIBLE!! ! (tip was left every day) with a baby who crawls is not very pleasant. Personal care kits are not complementary.
- the chef himself rested at the hotel for a couple of days, they prepared excellently. After his departure, they began to feed vomit. Up to 15 people line up for salads and coffee. The plates are dirty.
- there are not enough sun loungers.
- the hotel is buried in mud.
Pros:
- evening show - the attitude of the staff (waiters, bartenders) well done guys.
- territory, beach.
I would not come back here again.
We arrived at the hotel by 9.00, we were settled after 14.30 (with two small children! ). The room is spacious and simple. Everything looks normal, except for the stained glass windows without locking. There is no door in the shower and water is everywhere after taking a shower. About hats and cleansers, I am silent about them here and have not heard, okay, I brought them with me. There is no cleaning in the rooms!! ! Cardboard partitions between rooms, you can hear the neighbors talking, who sneezed, etc. Sleep is clearly not possible. The mini-bar is also not replenished accordingly.
About the restaurant: there seems to be a lot of food, but surprisingly there is nothing to eat. Everything is cold and fresh. For breakfast, apart from scrambled eggs, I did not find anything at all. Children ate only rolls with chocolate paste. They also took flakes, they were poured with ice-cold milk, they had to be diluted with boiling water. Porridges are terribly sweet, the child refused with the word byaka. Made several attempts. The pomegranate sauce is diluted with who knows what. The alcohol is terrible, the wine is disgusting. There is nothing to eat in snack bars either, we tried to take shawarma in general, fu, french fries are cold, not tasty, there were not even vegetables. In the bar on the beach they shout to eat only at the tables, where has this been seen? If you don't litter, you clean up after yourself, what's the difference?
So, in 10 days:
Service - MINUS 5
Kitchen - 3 of 5
Territory - 4 out of 5 (small)
Animation - 0 out of 5 (I understand the pandemic, but can you even turn on the music?! )
Beach - 3 out of 5 (beds without mattresses, sand paths were not cleared, small urns).
I won't go back to this chain and I don't recommend it! Maybe it will help you avoid this horror! Thanks for attention!
I purchased a tour package through Biblio Globus, got a flight on October 3 from Aeroflot there and on October 10 from Rossiya - back. What pleased me, this time there were no delays in departure.
The only thing, almost 40 minutes, had to wait in Alanya for a company of vacationers of 5 people who decided to get to the hotel on their own and did not deign to simply warn the meeting guides about this.
The road from the airport to the hotel took about an hour and a half, taking into account the fact that vacationers were first brought to 4 other hotels. Ours was the latest. But the evening settlement has its plus. In Armas Regency, after filling out the questionnaire, they immediately provided room 336 on the third floor of the main building. Sufficiently spacious "standard" with 2 single beds, sofa bed, plasma TV, huge mirrors in the room and bathroom. The shared bathroom is also basic, with a full set of towels, bottles of shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, bars of soap replenished as they were used by the maids. By the way, the room was cleaned daily, towels and bed linen were changed, 1.5 liter eggplants with drinking water were also put every day. And when checking in, in addition to a 1.5 liter bottle of water and a liter eggplant with mineral water, there were two 0.5 liter bottles of Fanta and Pepsi-Cola in the refrigerator. And also, as already mentioned above, as a compliment - a bottle of wine and a plate of fruit. Small, but nice).
Yes, there is also a wardrobe with hangers in the room and there is a safe, which is provided for free use.
Another plus is free wi-fi. Even on the beach sometimes worked. Much has been said about the beach and entering the sea above. And yes, sometimes fish or other creatures bite in the water, but their preferences are purely selective, that is, some of the swimmers are pinched right up to the blood, others are not touched.
In our race, beach volleyball was popular with many vacationers. Probably, a cheerful beach animator who loves to chat and amuse the audience with his paradoxical statements-reasonings in Russian plays a certain role.
Personally, I was also pleased with the area around the hotel - also not at all small in size, very well-groomed. In addition to all kinds of slides and several pools, there is a show entertainment area with a stage and an entertainment complex-park for kids, cute gazebos, benches, arches and even carousels. However, apparently, they are not in demand. At least during my stay, no one wanted to ride them for an additional fee.
The gym was not particularly popular with our arrival. But I liked it there just the fact that there is a good arsenal of simulators and you can pump up various muscle groups without prying eyes)
Separately, it must be said about the spa. I must admit, at first I doubted whether it was worth taking the procedure. But I still decided not to change the traditional ritual with a hammam, foam massage, etc. And didn't regret it at all. Firstly, perhaps for the first time I meet in a Turkish resort an exceptionally delicate administrator of the spa service, who does not impose anything, is exceptionally pleasant in communication. Unfortunately, I did not remember the name of this young man. And the massage is done with impeccable quality by a specialist named Genghis Khan, who owns the skills of a professional chiropractor-practitioner.
Yes, given the turbulent epidemiological shutdown, you are required to wear a mask to the canteen, if you don’t have one, then they will give you at the entrance, be sure to measure the temperature with a non-contact thermal imager. By the way, all the hotel employees themselves, even those who work under the sun on the beach, are constantly wearing protective masks. Again, in order to protect the guests as much as possible, food and drinks of their choice are given out by catering staff. Well, yes, sometimes there are queues, but not so huge as to be indignant.
You have to give credit to the hotel staff. Even those who do not understand Russian try to fulfill the wishes of vacationers. And there are no fatal congestions. Despite the fact that there are a lot of people and everyone is provided with cutlery separately packed in paper bags, the staff quickly cleans up used dishes, disinfects each table and lays out clean napkins and cutlery. Yes, and they smile at you as if they were your own, and the guys at the distribution also have time to joke.
Probably, the hotel management pays special attention to the selection of personnel. At least you can feel the generally friendly attitude of the staff towards the guests. And if there are any problems, they are solved without delay. Only on the second day in the evening I discovered that the hose in the shower cabin was full of holes, that is, the water does not reach the leka and siphon from the hose. After dinner, I told the administrator girl about this (she speaks and understands Russian very well). Literally five minutes later, a plumber ran into the room and replaced the hose with a new one.
You can order real Turkish coffee at the lobby bar. It has a specific thick and rich taste, it is prepared in a separate coffee machine (not the one from which espresso, cappuccino, etc. is poured) and served in tiny cups. There are bartenders mixing some cocktails. Can't comment on the quality, I haven't tried it.
In general, quite a nice hotel and friendly staff, to whom special thanks for a pleasant stay.
The cuisine of the varied menu is rich but it was repeated daily. Already on the 4th 5th day I got a little tired. Although we were not hungry for several types of meat dishes, many salads, greens, licorice, fruit.
The area is large for children water park, playground. Near the sea. Would I come back again, probably so in principle satisfied with the rest. Good hotel for families with children.
However, when we settled on the first day upon arrival after 23:00 arrival at the hotel, although we had paid for a standard room from 14:00 to 12:00 the next day, they tried to settle in a room below the first floor (similar to a utility room for maids), where the floor is ceramic tiles, light - twilight, torn curtains, dirty walls in the rooms and bathroom, broken closet, TV torn out in one room, mold and cobwebs in the rooms, bars on the balcony. We refused and ended up sitting at the reception all night until 8.00 in the morning. And it is a 5 star hotel with elegant rooms.
We were told that there were no available rooms.
Pay extra $20 for each night of stay (this is 20 x 10 days = $200) and we will check you into a room with a sea view .
We called the Tez Tour support service at 00.05 (approximate time), there was no positive result, they answered, wait for the manager at 9.00, he will resolve the issue. For our part, we suggested that we even be settled in another hotel, equivalent to this, or let them return the money for the paid day.
The manager arrived at 8.00 o'clock, we were given a standard room on the 3rd floor. Apologies and any bonuses from the representatives of the hotel did not follow for the entire period of stay at the hotel, compensation for moral damage, too, according to the Rules for the fulfillment of obligations ...
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel is overloaded with vacationers, that there are no available rooms, how so?
So, what we encountered upon arrival at the Armas Regency 5 * hotel:
1) the number in reality did not match what is in the description and in the photographs;
2) bad smell and mold in the room;
3) lack of an electric kettle, tea and coffee in the room;
4) poor sound insulation, lighting;
5) inattention and indifference of the staff;
6) there are no available rooms upon arrival at the hotel.
The food is varied, the staff tries, but the queues.
On the beach and by the pool - there are no free sunbeds after breakfast, lunch.
Cleaning - periodically, sometimes.
Drinking water had to be taken at the restaurant, they did not bring it (for the entire period they brought it 3 times).
For guests of the Armas Saray Regency hotel, daytime animation (as such, there was none at all) and evening show programs (only for children). There is nothing for young people to do there, it is very boring or every evening by bus at 23.00 to leave for Side for a disco for 10 dollars.
Review for the hotel management. Thank you for the rest, which was overshadowed by the first day of your stay in your country.
