Maslenitsa - in the village of Semyonovka
I love Shrovetide, but how not to love it. This means that winter is over and spring is on the doorstep, which means new trips!
And the first trip fell on Shrovetide. It was a pleasure to receive an invitation to take part in a press tour from the Ukrainian Educational Center for Reforms, the USAID AgroInvest Project and the Land Union of Ukraine Association, which takes place in the village of. Semenovka, Baryshevsky district, Kiev region.

Departure from Kyiv at 7-30 and after 1.5 hours we are already there. As in any hospitable home, the guests were immediately fed. And we went to the farm of the farmer Grigory Nakonechny. This farm is called "Faith, Hope, Love. " In honor of his three daughters.
The farmer himself is a livestock specialist in the past and has many years of experience. So it was his heart that prompted him to become a farmer. And in the economy everything is done with love. Now the farm has 24 cows, 20 goats and 7 breeding horses. However, the farmer is sure that the state should contribute in every possible way to the development of animal husbandry. The purchase price for milk should significantly exceed the established 2.20 hryvnia. And the settlement of the land issue, the issue of land lease, tax and credit policy, not only for large farms, but also for medium and small ones, is of paramount importance.
And in Semyonovka, the holiday is already in full swing. Show themselves and congratulate the neighbors came from all the surrounding villages. They brought treats and gifts.
And the Semenovites have their own treats. After all, every housewife has her own recipe. Pancakes you want! The daughter-craftsman of Grigory Nakonechny.

Previously, sleigh rides were the most beloved and beautiful Maslenitsa rite. But the snow has already melted, and traditions must be observed. After all, Maslenitsa is a holiday for the “belly” - “Shrovetide is a roundabout”.

And no matter how much they say that this holiday is pagan, the people love and honor it. And they believe that with the advent of spring there will be new shoots, good harvests and farm labor will be appreciated according to its merits.
