Being already the 3rd time in Egypt, I could not even think that I would decide on diving. First, pressure. Secondly, age (50+). Thirdly, the very fact - under water, with equipment, a mask, a snorkel. . . "Nah, not mine! " - I said a year ago to my friend and rejoiced, looking at her immersion and a storm of emotions on her happy face.

This time we went to Sharm with the whole family - with my husband and 4 daughters. The older ones were set up for diving, and the younger ones and I were for snorkeling. I adore the Red Sea, with its fabulous underwater world, bright colors, live coral reefs and a variety of fish.

We were incredibly lucky with the tour. Diving instructor Peter Nabil was recommended to us, we contacted him via WatsApp and agreed on an excursion to Tiran Island. The tour came out much cheaper than the guides at the hotel offered. It turns out that the diving instructor is "more important" than the captain on the ship. Surprisingly, it is he who decides where to sail and when, as he has a professional understanding of the undercurrents, winds, knows local attractions perfectly, selects the most beautiful reefs and monitors the entire team, being responsible for safety.

Peter has been diving since the age of 8, and like an amphibious man, he literally lives underwater. He says that there is his world. It's nice to see a person who is happy with what he does. But besides the fact that he himself loves it, he makes others fall in love with his world. And he does it completely unobtrusively. As a result, without planning, we all plunged into this fairy tale in turn.

I forgot about everything - both pressure and age, I just didn’t want this time to end and we surfaced. We didn't dive too deep, only 3 meters, given my pressure, but it was enough! We literally descended into a school of fish of the same color and size, and they did not react to us! People need to get over this! It's simply impossible to put it into words! The transparency of water, the colors of the underwater world - it is impossible to see enough of it!

The husband has sunk to the bottom - he has a funny photo where he lies at the bottom with his arms crossed over his chest : ))

Well, the eldest daughter, our mermaid, was simply impossible to pull out of the water - she would have stayed there!

It was the brightest, most magical day of our vacation, and we still remember its details every day and dream of returning in a year and getting a diving certificate! It turns out it's real! We then found Peter (Peter Nabil) on Instagram and Facebook. Just look at the photo on his page - he swam next to such a huge fish (by the way, it is absolutely harmless! ).

It turns out that divers don't just know how to breathe and how to row their arms and legs, they study everything - anatomy, biology, currents, and zoology. . . I was very impressed with what I learned about diving and divers. I recommend everyone to try it! It was our best vacation ever!

I don't know if it's okay to write like that here, but if you want to immerse yourself in the magical world of the Red Sea, and that's what we're going to Egypt for, don't be afraid! It's worth it! And it's not scary at all : ) The main thing is to have a professional nearby!
