18th century fort
The fortress is not very big, but well preserved. Inside it is dark and a little uncomfortable, and you are waiting for some kind of ghost because of the angle of attack (before the trip, I got acquainted with the history of the fortress and a brief biography of Ali Pasha).

Interesting museum
A very interesting museum. Located in the city, almost on the beach. There are quite a few exhibits here: sculptures, paintings and handicrafts from the history of the country.

Piece of history
The tomb has recently been restored. We did not set out to visit this particular attraction. Came across it by accident. I was pleasantly surprised. Literally two years ago, a friend visited Albania and, among the pictures of other attractions, showed this one.

Beautiful modern mosque

An excursion into the history of Albania
The museum is located in a restored fortress on top of a mountain in Upper (mountainous) Kruja. Inside is very pleasant light and enough space. You can get acquainted with Albanian traditions / Lots of information about local history.

Riding big bikes

Ancient tower and modern bar. 2 in 1
The tower itself is not very well preserved, but it is still a historical monument. There is a cozy bar inside the tower. You can drink a glass of cool wine after a hot day and enjoy the atmosphere.

Albanian Taj Mahal
An interesting mosque, rather chamber, ancient (15th century). The walls are decorated with engravings of Mecca and Medina. Very interesting images. I recommend visiting.

Unusual Cathedral
Unusual in its architecture, an Orthodox church, and the bell tower is a separately standing high-rise building. Nice place for the Orthodox! Built recently on the site of the old one, destroyed by the former communist regime.

Cool place for photos
We were in the amphitheater and after visiting it, we decided not to ignore the castle of King Zogu. A bit difficult to get to the castle. He is on the mountain. At the moment, the castle does not function as a museum and, as the guard told us, officially belongs to the royal family.

Really impressive place

Elbasan - a city of contrasts
About the city Elbasan is a small city, although it is considered one of the largest in Albania. It closely adjoins houses completely different in style and age. Watching the newest mansion and next to it a half-ruined building is extremely strange.

Very romantic place
The beauty of water is simply unreal! We even decided to swim in the lake later, however, we warmed ourselves with hot coffee in a cafe on the water. The water is really very cold.
