Why do we need Dresden without the Gallery?
I won't call this place #1 in Germany because Germany is big and diverse. There is a Museum Island in Berlin, there is the Alte Pinakothek in Munich and much more, BUT I consider visiting the Dresden Old Masters Gallery a must.

Very boring Royal Palace.
The royal palace seemed large, empty and boring. It is obvious that the king does not even live there at all, although the Royal Standard on the flagpole was developed. But the square in front of the palace is actively used for mass celebrations of the townspeople.
