I just returned from this hotel, although we lived in Baia Principe Punta Cana, Gran Baia Principe - this is a huge territory consisting of 4 hotels, the territory is common, the beach too. Barn and Esmeralda are better than Bavaro and Punta Cana in that they are new rooms, they have plasma TVs, you can also visit more restaurants, maybe there are still differences, I don’t remember anymore. When I booked the tour, they didn’t even offer me Esmeralda (they said that there hadn’t been an official opening yet), and they don’t accommodate children in the Barn. I learned about all these differences upon arrival, but, frankly, I was quite satisfied with that what we had. The hotel itself is very good and the food is wonderful, and the whole holiday is wonderful, I was satisfied with everything.
