Hello, in the summer we want to go to Hungary with a visit to Austria
Tell me if it’s worth going on an optional excursion “VIENNA FOREST + ANCIENT SHINE OF PALACES AND PARKS”: a Cistercian monastery of the 12th century, a memorial chapel at the site of the suicide of Crown Prince Rudolf in Mayerling, the resort town of Baden, the palaces of Vienna - Belvedere, Schönbrun, City and People's Park.
Or is it better to dedicate a day to a trip to Innsbruck or Salzburg?

Here is what you wrote: "VIENNA FOREST + OLD SHINE OF PALACES AND PARKS" is this in 1 day? If so, then only at a very fast pace and along Schönburn they will be transported by transport. Only Schönburn to see - you need 1 day, a very beautiful and large complex, inside the palace - very cool, a lot of things have been preserved. Salzburg is a very pleasant city, you can visit the fortress, and in general it is pleasant to walk along the streets.

I support the previous author. If the weather is good (and it will certainly be in the summer), then it takes about 4 hours to visit Schönbrunn at a pace. Since it is located not far from the center of Vienna (20 minutes by metro), you will reach it yourself. An entrance ticket to the park is not required, last year the palace was about 12 euros with a guided tour - an earpiece is issued and you can walk around the palace yourself for about an hour. In addition, the park is huge, landscaped, with a stunning panoramic view of Vienna from the top platform. And the Belvedere contains one of the best expositions of art of the late 19th and early 20th centuries (Klimt is especially good). Plus, there is a botanical garden nearby - also 3 hours to visit. A tram goes to it from one of the central metro stations (Karlsplatz). Good luck.

There is nothing special to see in Baden, except perhaps the death mask of Beethoven.
Schönbrunn and Belvedere - worthy of attention!!!
