Добрый день. У меня вопрос - читала, что тем, кто едет на неделю, желательно купить недельную карту для поездок - около 250 крон. Так ли это?

And what is this card? For what?
No, I have not heard, but why do you need it ?! Ride like this .. How many traveled, never heard of this)

I heard about such cards regarding Austria, Italy. According to tourists, it is quite profitable. A Turkcard involves paying for travel in public transport (even commuter trains within the country), entrance to some museums and in each museum with a discount card. In the Czech Republic, I have not heard of such a card, it may have been introduced quite recently.

Thanks for the clarification)
No, it seems that such a map does not apply to the Czech Republic, since you are talking about Austria and Italy ...

There is a Prague card, but it costs 790 crowns for two days, and unlike many European tourist cards, it does not entitle you to free travel. On it only to museums and observation platforms on Petrin, on the Old Town Hall, etc. you can go for free. But IMHO, if you are not going to go around all the museums, then it is better to separately buy tickets to the Prague Castle (250 kroons), to the Old Town Tower (100 kroons), to the museums you like (from 100 to 150 kroons).
And again, IMHO, even if you live in a hotel on the outskirts of Prague, buying a travel card for 3 days is less profitable for a week than trips for separate trips.

Regarding rides - is it better to take 24 crowns? And where are they bought?

From 5 am to 16-17:00 you can buy them at "Traffic" kiosks, at metro stations. They don't work in the evening. You can also buy through vending machines - they are at every tram stop and every metro station. The only thing is, they need a trifle. If you buy from a vending machine:
1. Set up the language, because by default all commands are in Czech. There is no Russian, but there was definitely English, German, French, too.
2. Choose the number of tickets you need, the fare is 24, 32 kroons, etc. If children are traveling, then there is a discounted rate for them (you just need to have a document confirming their age with you).
3. throw coins (any. It can be larger than your ticket costs. The machine will spit out the change along with the ticket)
4. Get a ticket.
And take 24 or 32 kroons... Depends on where you live. If you have a hotel very far from the center, take the bus, then the metro, then it's better not to risk it. If you drive up in the central part by transport, then a ticket for 24 crowns should be enough.

Riders are sold by porters in hotels, you can buy in stores at the checkout when paying for goods (in grocery stores - checked, in others I don’t know for sure)

Thanks. The trip is planned for the end of July ... We took excursions to Krumlov and a pedestrian one, we will examine the rest along the way. Poora to learn all the nuances for a more comfortable experience of fabulous Prague))

Well done, what exactly is there ...
Have a nice holiday!
