When checking in or when booking a hotel, indicate that you need a smoking room, then it will be possible to smoke there both in the room itself and on the balcony.

I doubt that in Prague, now, you will find a "smoking" hotel. In the lobby, you may still be able to smoke, but in the room, it is unlikely - except, of course, if there is a balcony - then smoking will not be a particular problem. So when booking, check if there are balconies in the rooms..

In 2010-11, we visited smoking rooms in Paris, Rome, Florence and Hong Kong. The hotels were 4-5 *, in Prague 2-3 years ago we lived in the Corintia Tower in a smoking room.

I just looked at your hotel on booking.com. It just says that there are non-smoking rooms, which means there are rooms for smokers. And in the lobby you can’t smoke anywhere for a long time if there is no special zone with powerful ventilation.

A lot has changed in Prague in 2-3 years. Previously, for example, at Marriott it was possible to smoke in "smoking" rooms, but now they are all "non-smoking", and you can still smoke in the lobby ..

in one of the reviews for this hotel they wrote that the minus of this hotel is that you can’t smoke in the rooms there ...

We recently arrived from Paris, and although when booking I definitely ordered a non-smoking room, at the entrance to the room that was vacated, apparently not long ago, there was definitely a smell for us. When I went to talk to the reception, they looked at me with round eyes with the question: "Girl, what are you talking about? This can't be - our entire hotel is non-smoking!"...
In Prague, in this hotel, there was no smell in the rooms at all. I didn't see any smokers in the hotel either. There are no balconies. I just don’t remember about the SPA, I think I saw ashtrays there. And what is such a big problem for those who suffer from smoking to go down the street?

lg_e_k , I had the same situation in Warsaw and Vienna, in non-smoking rooms. people smoke, of course, without thinking at all about those who will live in these rooms after. Not only that, smoke detectors “damage” so that they don’t work, and so as not to pay a fine, to be honest - 5 for their resourcefulness, but there is nothing to be proud of here ... Especially if you like the hotel and want to come there again ..
But such issues were resolved at the hotel reception without any problems, you invite to the room to let you feel the "aroma", and then either change the room or one more cleaning until the smell is eliminated with a bunch of apologies from the staff ....

We no longer had the strength to sort things out with the staff - by that time we had already spoiled each other's mood enough by the fact that when booking one family room, they took money on a credit card before arriving at the hotel and placed us in two double rooms (like they did a favor - they say for the same money) thus the children (8 and 4 years old) had to be transferred to a separate room, on the same floor but in different parts. At the same time, referring to the fact that they say we did not have a phone to contact you (they were full of lies, I left the phone). If it were not for the arrival with children, I would certainly defend my rights ... Of course, I will not come to this hotel again, and I will not advise my friends.

And for those who are considering staying at this hotel, I highly advise (smokers should decide to "smoke" somewhere in a neutral place) - clean, friendly, the rooms are small, but the decor is rationally thought out. For just spending the night in human conditions while feeling like a person, it’s very good.

Dear friends,
Our hotel is non-smoking! Smoking is only possible outside. Almost all hotels in Europe are non-smoking or have become non-smoking. There are no balconies in the rooms, as the building is historical. The hotel is ideal for non-smoking guests)
