To the Czech Republic via Poland
Good afternoon. I have a question about travel. I really want to visit Prague. I do Schengen for the first time. I decided to fly through Poland to Katowice, and from there to Prague itself. On this basis, the question arises, namely. In the application form for a Czech visa, I indicate the first country of crossing the borders of the Schengen zone (this is Poland), and the country where I will arrive is the Czech Republic. But since I will fly to Poland first, will I need to get a transit visa? Or there is no problem with it. Who flew like that please tell me.
Thanks in advance for your replies and help.

A transit visa is not required.
In the application for a Schengen visa, indicate everything honestly and in detail, there will be no problems.
Have a good trip!

Fully agree with sigur62.
We went to Europe for May holidays, though by car. A Czech visa was opened, and a hotel was booked there for most of the trip. But they entered through Poland. There are no problems and there cannot be.

You are doing everything right. First entry - Poland, including accommodation - Czech Republic. Visa to the Czech Republic!

I agree with the previous speakers! :)
Z.Y. Do you know that you will need to receive by mail the original confirmation of your hotel reservation in the Czech Republic for the consulate?
