I will go abroad for the first time (Czech Republic). How to get through customs?
Good evening!
What do you need to have with you?
The purpose of the trip is tourism. I will go for 3 days.
It is clear that you need a foreign passport (biometrics), a printout of your hotel reservation, a return bus ticket, and insurance.
Travel on a budget. I do not plan to take a lot of money with me. Can they be denied entry because of this?
Perhaps you need to show something else at customs? In general, enlighten an inexperienced girl :)

Do you have a visa? You need to show things at customs, do not show them anything else. Show your passport with a visa to the border guards, you have everything else, as I understand it.

What are you carrying that you are afraid of customs? Go through the green corridor.
The border guards can theoretically ask for insurance, tickets and hotel reservations, but in practice I have never encountered this. The main thing is to give them a passport to stamp)).

Igor_m, I will go when visa-free comes into force)
ollennka, I won’t bring anything illegal, it’s just the first time I’m going and I want to safely reach my destination)
Thank you!

You just do not book anything before the entry into force of the visa-free regime - a bad omen for the last three years. I also plan to travel to Budapest, Vienna, Prague in the summer, then relax in Lumshory for a week. But I don’t even think about booking anything, I booked it last year, but the visa-free regime didn’t work out.

Igor_m, booked only accommodation (and then - with free cancellation of the reservation and without prepayment). You can always cancel :) After all, Prague is a very popular destination, there are practically no places at a normal price, so I decided to book it, so as not to be left with nothing later.

Then I give good! Good luck !

Igor_m, and all the best to you! :)

Yes, the most important thing is a report after the trip with photos, otherwise the customs will not give the go-ahead next time.

Igor_m, we will try!

Customs shows goods and materials. Your question relates to border control. You understand everything correctly: foreign (biometrics), a printout of the hotel reservation, a return bus ticket, insurance and, possibly, monetary harm at the rate of about 50 euros / day

Thank you NatashaS!

Perhaps, from 06/11/17 there will already be a visa-free regime. But let's wait and see how it will be in practice. Due to the fact that you will not have much money with you, this is not a reason not to let you into the Czech Republic. Don't beat yourself up, everything will be fine.

serna7081, already, as I understand it, visa-free was approved :)
Thanks for the answer!

From June 11 visa-free travel is allowed. According to the rules, the only documents that must be: biometric foreign and proof of financial capacity (cash or card). No invitations required, no hotel booking confirmation required. Also, insurance is not included in the list of mandatory - it is not needed by border guards, you need it.

Funny comment about the green corridor.
There are no corridors when traveling by bus. They will say to turn out the suitcases, or not - nothing depends on the tourist.
аватар ollennka
Yes, at least call it gray-brown-crimson, the essence does not change, it will go without declaring. And they can ask to turn out the suitcases in the green corridor.
аватар kolyan_cat
There are no corridors at the bus crossing point. The tourist does not choose where to go.

Personally, we flew by plane Kyiv-Prague two years ago. We were asked for fingerprints of 4, everything except the big one and all the necessary documents - passports, hotel reservations and return tickets. They didn’t ask questions at all - they silently missed it - it was at 9 am in November - there were no people at all. Comparing with Germany is heaven and earth.

And in the morning, well, very early, in Prague, they didn’t ask me anything at all (Hungarian cartoon). No, they asked "the reason for visiting - tourism?" - ok. Somewhere around November 24-25.

Scurra-2, everything is written on the face of "hardened" tourists, they are asked purely formally, we are "of little interest for customs", as V. Vysotsky wrote.

When passing customs through a road crossing (i.e. by car or bus), you will have to get off the bus and go through passport and customs control! On the passport, because You are already planning to travel on a visa-free basis, your fingerprints, hotel voucher, return ticket and bank statement on the status of your account (in English) will be checked or cash at the rate of 50 euros per day of stay; further customs: you need to open the suitcase, and usually at the customs of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, the main question is "are you bringing cigarettes or vodka?" Then get on the bus and go to Prague! :)

do not show "shuher " your face and movements - pass control without problems :)

Well, here I am, it seems, an "inveterate" tourist, the "nixie" on my poker face has long been gone, but still, from time to time, customs stops and shines through the suitcases. It's just that according to the instructions, apparently, they have an obligation to make a random sample.
